A rare find amidst the hustle and bustle navigating street life. Quality ales, cider and gins. Go on, get some in!

Cracking pub, a proper old pub with a lovely feel. Lanlord was very whitty & funny, helpful & a real good host. Made us feel really welcome. Was like being in your own local.
Locals were lovely too, had a great chat about the tour de france!
Some great beers too.(i had 1 La Tapp too many!)

Definitely worth a visit x

Great location, right next to Lido Spa, cheerful atmosphere.

Absolute gem, tucked out of the way. Brilliant blend of British real ale and continental beers. Worth paying the extra few pennies for the selection and atmosphere. A cozy little pub you don't get enough of these days. Landlord and staff are friendly and engaging. If you are in Bristol, this is one pub you should visit.

This pub was allowed to languish but has been relaunched with a new manager. What a difference this has made. The interior has been redecorated as part of an ongoing refurbishment making the whole pub lighter and brighter. Atmosphere on Saturday night was superb with this compact pub nicely busy inside and customers making use of the pavement outside. This is now a great little pub with a good range of local ales and some quality ciders. I'll definitely be back.

One of my favourite pubs in Bristol. Small, cosy fire in winter, nice bit of seating outside in the summer, good selection of beers and friendly staff. Big thumbs up.
(No food, only snacks.)

Lovely proper pub with excellent and well kept beers. Well worth seeking out; it's a jewel.

Great pub. Always a good place to go for a late drink.

This gem of a pub is quietly tucked away in Clifton just a few minutes from Whiteladies Road and remains one of Bristol's best kept secrets, unless you have had the pleasure of drinking one of the many craft ales on offer before! This traditional Ale House has a revolving list of ales, beers & ciders that regularly revolves so I have always been able to try something new each time I have visited. The staff are friendly and enlightened in their trade, the rustic but straightforward interior makes a welcoming atmosphere. If you are looking for a great beer then I would recommend you try a pint in this pub.

Massive improvement since last visit with a great selection of cared for beers and a very well stocked bar. It's clean now! Nice friendly real pub. Worth a visit to see the difference from a couple of years ago.

Good to see the place still open. Provides a nice cozy drinking atmosphere offering a good range of real ales. A bit on the expensive side - our first £4 a pint in Bristol.

Richard Baker was obviously far too busy using his smart phone to upload self important 'reviews' instead of checking our website to find (unsurprisingly) we were closed for a couple of days after working VERY hard over the the whole month of December.
It is Xmas you know, we are allowed a holiday too.
Apologies for the 'toilet smell' but as I was in A&E at the time I was unable to marshal the young man who kindly stepped in at short notice to work for me to have correctly cleaned our toilets & clean flushed our cisterns before opening time.
Again my apologies that the pub was not full of enough customers for you Richard, you're obviously used to having palm fronds laid at your feet by thronging crowds where ever you travel.
You see it's Xmas time, & it's a Bristol city centre pub, ALL the students have gone home who drive the local licensed trade economy so it's QUIET. Again I refer you to us being shut for a couple of days, IT'S XMAS.
I assume Richard that you don't often enter REAL pubs and are unaware that a pub can sometimes only have a handful of customers at any odd given hour and then be heaving at the rafters an hour or so later. That's the pub trade for you.
As it happens the night in question was extremely busy later on and we did very nicely thank you.
There are up to 7 cask real ale lines, 4 craft keg ale lines and one of Bristols finest back bar sections of interesting real, craft & Belgian bottled ales available at The Victoria.
It appears that not staying to enjoy a drink was indeed your loss.
But thanks anyway Richard for character assassinating my lovely little pub and business.
Please feel free to send me details of your work and business and perhaps I can find the time to reciprocate & review of your livelyhood in an equally pleasent manner.
Or you could pop in and see me so I may demand the satisfaction of a duel for being so badly publicly besmirched.
Oh.
Damn.
It's not the 18th century anymore is it ?
Just stay away then 🙂
I don't think my pubs for you.
You probably prefer a nice Wetherspoons.
