A. Y.Lovely bar just off the high street (Queen Street). Offers wide selection of high quality cocktails and craft beers until early morning. Open 7 days/nights a week the venue also hosts various music events over the weekend and live band performances. During the day one can take advantage of the food offerings such as a selection of burgers with locally sourced meats.
L. G.Great, fun nights out with a largely student crowd. The best part is the pleasant beer garden which is a perfect quiet spot in the middle of the city. Toilets are down a skinny flight of stairs so not the best place if you have mobility issues

Great place. It's a really busy hidden away gem of Cardiff that regardless of the crowd that's in their it's always a good night in their.
So it's quite small but don't let that swayed you from your stay because the well lit and well heated beer garden is massive and very accommodating.
The alcoholic beverages here are great and very creative, you should check out the cocktails first before you move to the tasty and unusual spirits.
Although every time I've been here I've enjoyed it. I'd avoid rave night which is in the upstairs venue.
But yeah go check it out. Go have fun.
M. R.Has a great creatively modern and laid back style. Great selection of spirits, the cocktail menu is superb, the food is delicious, and you can't hate a great 2-4-1 evening cocktail deal. If you are feeling brave, start your night with a Tiki Fire shot.
M.Very trendy Angeles good bar/pub. Nice selection of beers and spirits. Very popular with locals. Evenings offer live music and on weekends you need to pay to get in. Staff is polite and professional. I would recommend a visit as it has been on Cardiff scene for a while now.

J. B.Buffalo is great for the buy one get one free cocktails and for if you fancy dressing up and playing posh. Be warned some of the student night's will make you feel old of you don't live in halls anymore. The staff can sometimes be a bit grumpy and moody but then so would you if you had to keep making 6 espresso martinis every 5 minutes.

T. J. (. C.Buffalo Bar, most famed for its cocktails, is a multifaceted beast and one that is far the better for it. Thanks to a distinctive and stylish decor along with the aforementioned drinks, it manages to combine high end sophistication with student appeal and has managed to establish itself as a firm favourite amongst many who love the Cardiff nightlife scene. Perched close to town on Windsor Place, it has a certain charm that is very difficult to distill but in this review I'll attempt to offer my own personal thoughts on why it's so great, and why you can't do without at least a couple of visits there during your time here.
Often found filled with canoodling couples and chatty chums, Buffalo is quite rightly famous for its laidback atmosphere and from the moment you spring up the steps your treated to a trip back in time to a 1950s salon. Plush, expansive sofas at the front give way to a sleek dark bar and more conventional tables behind, the walls adorned with all manner of retro parephanalia. What makes this ambience stick so well goes beyond the soft furniture and the lighting to the music of the ground floor, with in house DJ's who specialise in a vast array of tunes.
From reggae and old school hip hop to disco, chilled house and smooth garage; while you can never be sure what your going to hear, chances are you'll probably love it!
The drinks menu excels on so many levels, while you can have a range of beers and wine, you come here for the cocktails and they leave a lasting impression on you. Most normally stick to their very well appointed 2-4-1 menu, which features all the classic Daiquiri's, Mojitos and Tom Collins you could want alongside a few more exotic choices. I'd personaly recommended their very well muddled Moscow Mules, or for those who want a longer drink check out their Dark n Stormy's. The Country Garden's may appear effeminate but definitely pack a punch too! If your looking to treat yourself they have some more expensive drinks to tantalise your taste buds with, and having been treated to one of their Zombies, I'd recommend you try one to see a lime full of rum get set on fire if nothing else!
Yet my favourite part of this place isn't to be found on the main floor (and nor is it in the Ministry of Magic styled bathrooms!) but in Buffalo's inner sanctum upstairs. Most may come for the music but for those in the know, their upper floor hosts a great range of underground dance music nights, hosted by funky promoters such as Deep Inside & Purrmotions. I've very happily skanked away to some of Tom Shorterz's speed garage upstairs and seen Golden Boy drop some classic deep house there, while the support acts are nothing to be sniffed at! Disco Palace and Boulevard Resident DJ HighForThis dropped one of the best deep sets I've ever seen there while supporting Shorterz and proved that while the nights attract big names, its the local boys who really get things going!
The upstairs is decked out to feel intimate, harking back to legendary basement parties of old and while your up there, pint of Amstel in hand, you feel like you've stepped into a very different world than the sophisticated cocktails below. That, for me, is Buffalo's secret weapon, what separates it from many of the other upmarket bars around the city. It holds themed pub quizzes, comedy, stylish cocktail nights out for friends and some of the best dance music around, all under one roof!
J. P. (.Buffalo provides a nice atmosphere to enjoy cocktails with friends, or have a nice meal. Only downside is, for a student with limited cash, the place can be quite expensive.

Drawbacks are it can get very crowded and the fact that the bar is only manned by experienced staff means you may have to wait for service. Can be a little expensive for Cardiff standards. Good spot for outdoor drinks in summer.

E.Used to come here on a saturday, was good back in the day... went there with my fiance lsst night and ordered a bottle of peroni , the lady behind the bar couldnt find a bottle opener, sokd it to me for 4quid and said' can you ask your fella to open it with a lighter, teeth or something?' I was so shocked, I just took it, smiled and muttered' ermm ok!'. Never will I return, especialy on a busy sat night!
