Quick end of the evening pint in a nice little pub. Can’t fault the location, really is in a prime spot. Very good selection of drinks, everyone seemed happy. Wasn’t badly priced either.

Really enjoyed this place. We ended up here on a concert day because everywhere else was so busy but to be honest we couldn't have been happier. Oh my God!!!!! I am soooo in love with this place. Visited many years ago and it was a dive. To start with - toilets immaculate!!! Gorgeous staff behind the bar. Landlady very professional. I like the high wooden tables and high stools because low ones kill me and my back. Booth section available for privacy. Then to top our evening off - only the X-Factor finalist Helen Fulthorpe. I had a fab time and all bus routes right outside. Job done!!!! See u soon!!!!!! My new regular!!

The Cambrian Tap is a lovely little corner pub. It's the kind of place in which you could spend a day, providing you get a seat. They have all the usual Brains offerings plus a few other beers that you've probably never heard of. 'Cozy' is the word that springs to mind. A word of warning - One member in our group wanted a glass of port and was horrified when he was told they didn't stock any. It's all about the beer here.

2019: Great tap bar, fantastic range of craft beers from around the country. Small old Victorian bar which has been brought up to date. Pies and mash go great with the beer!! 5 stars 2022: Gone is the craft beer and pies, now just a boozer - still decent though. Probably been affected by pandemic, then Marston's takeover and then Carlsberg. Now 3 stars

If you’re looking for a drink that’s out of the ordinary then this is the place to go! There wasn’t a single drink name which I recognised but the staff were able to recommend options when asked and the prices were reasonable. There’s some good seating throughout including comfortable booths for small groups which was great. The atmosphere was good although the industrial decor might be a bit raw for some, despite being clean as far as I could tell. It’s a real social place and the crowds were friendly - if I was looking for a drink late at night again I’d happily come back here.

I'd absolutely love to get this great pub to move to a bigger location. It's a really cool location, great beers, always a wide selection. Staff is always very helpful and seems to be enjoying working there! Not something you can say in a pub! Pub is busy most of the time and gets rather busy and cramped. So seeing it in a bigger venue would make it one of my favourites in Cardiff. Well done people!

Nice little pub thats a about a 5 min walk from the train station. Good selection of ales and beers that alternate on a regular basis. They also have some board games that you fan play whilst having a quiet pint and a chat. Pub can get busy on match days.

I love this little pub. An excellent selection of beers available on cask, keg and in bottles. If you like to taste lots of different beers they do a glider (3 glasses of a 1/3 of a pint) so you can try them all. They serve food and have a fantastic pie menu and they run loads of different events from cheese and beer nights to comedy and live music. Right in the centre of Cardiff, 2 minutes from the railway station, you can't go wrong here. Superb!

Stopped over unexpectedly in Cardiff and walked passed the place during the day before it opened and noticed a good selection of ciders and ales. Decided I'd a have few there in evening. Popped in for a mid-afternoon drink as had an hour to kill between trains. Started with Coffee milk stout (Fixed Wheel Brewery) which was excellent. Mi££ionaire salted caramel stout (Wild Beer Co.) was suggested by the barman (with a sample) and was also excellent. Background music was good quality rock, loud enough to hear but not intrusive. Didn't sample the pies as was planning on a big evening meal later.

For a city centre pub on the corner of chippy lane and surrounded by large pubs and clubs, the Cambrian tap is very small. It's not very well lit and the whole design is predominantly dark wood design. I believe this is a Brain's pub so expect the Brain's selection but they also have a great selection of guests beers. They seem to bring in a selection of guests at each time ranging from stouts and porters to lagers and session IPA's. There are about 3 or 4 tables outside with chairs. They also have music nights here but don't expect top notch performances. More local singers and guitarists.

New pub from the Brains brewery. Has a reasonable selection of ale that's regularly changed so it's a good place to try something different. Prices are a slight bit above places like the Weatherspoons & O'Neils across the road but there's more of a selection so you pay for what you get.
