l. p.Great to pop in here and have a pint of Brains in between shopping. Staff are really freindly and there is a small sitting area outside that gets the sun on a lucky day. Plenty of space onside even though covid is still causing havoc. They do treat covid seriously in here and details and social distancing are required.
They do meals, but did not get a chance this time, but hopefully plan it a bit better for our next visit.

T. S.Popped in a couple of times whilst staying in a hotel nearby. Great service every time. Very friendly. Beer was good. Had food on the second visit, for a decent pub meal this is the place to go. One of the nicest pub meals we had. Would definitely come back.

R. T.A fantastic quaint place to drink with local beers and local cooked food at the ready. A must for folk passing by or just a visit before the next, on this busy high Street. Unfortunately it's a little small and seems more accustomed to couples and groups, than family day's at Cardiff. The food is cooked on premises and the drink is often served swift and friendly, can highly recommend and would definitely visit another time . Thanks

C. U.Good atmosphere, tasty fish and chips. No Guinness, but Brains replaced it very well. 11 £ for food and beer were a great deal. The service was nice and fast on a Wednesday evening.

G. R.A piece of Cardiffs history, still living and breathing. I love to go here for a pint of Brains Black, the Welsh equivalent of Guinness. They serve such a good pint of it here I prefer it to Guiness.

C. E.Tidy pub, but they will insist on giving you beer in a plastic glass! If I wanted to order a pint at a festival, I would go to a festival. Not only that, but using plastic glasses full time is incredibly bad for the environment.

G.Central Cardiff CAMRA recommended pub, brains dominated on the very well kept real ale front, staff lovely, and us pescatarian's were very pleased to find they have a vegetarian chef (Neil), making home cooked pub grub, my partner said it was the best vegetarian curry she's had in a pub. Nice pub, nice beer, reasonably priced and good pub grub.
