Only the second escape room I have done, but a great family friendly room to escape from... we completed the Cocoa Loco room. Several of our group had never done an escape room previously and they were entertained from the outset. I obviously won't give away any of the secrets, but the host was wonderful and the bar was also very reasonably priced...

Easily the best escape room I've done. Ellie and the team are fantastic and they have the best atmosphere. I've done 2 other escape rooms in Cardiff and they're not a patch on Exitus. My issues with the other two were that we often just stood around because there was no room and the games felt a bit dated, this could not be further from the truth here. The game was extremely fun and engaging and the back story was brilliant. On top of the room, the waiting area was lovely and the bar was fantastic. I will be going back when Coco Loco is out and I will be playing Virus too. I had 0 complaints and only love for this company.

One of the best escape rooms I've done! Staff were really friendly, there's a great waiting area and bar and a resident dog which made the experience even better. We did the Egyptian room which was really well put together and engaging. We'll definitely be back to do the other rooms.

Just completed the CocoLoco escape room and we thoroughly enjoyed. Very clever and well put together. This was our first escape room so didn't know what to expect but will definitely want to do another one. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I felt the whole experience was well structured with the right clues given at the right time, so you actually feel like you're making progress and have a shot at completing it. Thanks for a great escape!

We completed The Curse of Senutep tonight and had an amazing time! The puzzles were very cleverly put together and the room was a great challenge throughout. Ceri, the host, was fab. Really friendly and welcoming. It's dog friendly too so can bring your own furry friend. They've got a well equipped bar and lots of comfortable seating so great for a drink before and after. Highly recommend ! We're already looking forward to our next escape room with them :) (Also can't wait to give their beautiful spaniel more cuddles ! )

This was my first experience of an escape room it was great family fun designed to be a challenge but possible to achieve. It was not Easy great for us and the staff were warm friendly and helpful. Great bar if your interested with high quality welsh spirts and beer.

Christmas escape room was great fun and designed as a family room with different levels of puzzle difficulty. Great props and challenges and friendly host who knew when to intervene. Also a gorgeous little wooden bar with cocktails and a huge range of drinks! And don't forget Watson, the tail that never stops wagging!

I recently visited here as part of a Christmas night out. What an amazing experience, I've done a few escape rooms but this definitely was the best so far! Cleverly laid out rooms with lots of puzzles to complete. There's also an amazing bar here with more than reasonable prices. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon!

I arrived with a big group, I think 14 of us. Well controlled and organised. A original bar with lots of different choices. Alot of fun, we had a few drinks before we went in, had a few while we inside as well. The ladies there were good hosts and made it alot of fun. 100% recommended. It's genuinely quite a challenge to get out....

I've done around 15 escape rooms, mostly in Cardiff, and my experience at Exitus was by far my favourite yet. Exitus is a family run business in the heart of Cardiff centre. We received a warm welcome on entry, and the family were friendly, funny and kindly explained everything we needed to know before being shown to our room. The rooms are well thought out, with clever, varied puzzles and great themes. Technology is well utilised throughout with cameras and an intercom system, and they are there to help when needed. After escaping, we went back to the central lounge area where there is a well stocked bar and had some coctails. They stock a range of Welsh beers, ciders, spirits and even have their own coctails and infuse their own flavoured vodkas. We also purchased some escape-style board and card games before leaving which were all sold at very competitive prices. The experience was full of fantastic moments, suprises (which I won't spoil in this review) and it was an absolute pleasure meeting the family who were so passionate about creating a great experience for guests. I can't wait to visit again soon!

Such a fun time here! Well thought out and explained room, great mix of puzzles and locks and the team were so helpful and encouraging! Really relaxed vibes and the bar area is really cool! Can’t wait to come back. Oh and Watson is too adorable!!

So this is our third escape room in Cardiff, visited as a team building event, with work. For me, the most important factor of these events is that the puzzles must be logical - The must be some reasonable method for solving them. I don't care if i don't get them. But if, when you're told the answer, you realise there's simply no way you could ever have known, it can be very frustrating. Exitus was the most logical. I also liked that they seem to ensure that all/most teams get out, by pacing the clues they hand you, when it seems you're just not getting it. In this way, you also have the pleasure of having completed it, albeit with a little help. The staff were lovely, and the vouchers for Revolution bar almost covered the cost of the Escape room!!! They also allowed us to bring in some wine to enjoy between rooms. On the downside, and as constructive feedback... Imhotep was waaaaay too hot. Uncomfortably so. That has to be sorted out guys. Also, the laser puzzle was borked and there was no way we'd have solved it. Even the GM couldn't do it. Although you gave us time back, we still wasted 10 mins in a very hot room trying to do it. The puzzles have to be working. The pluses outweigh the minus by a long stretch. Top experience.

I had the funnest time here! What lovely hosts Elynne, Cerri and the adorable Watson are!! Had an absolutely brilliant experience, the hosts were so nice and accommodating, had the best cocktails and learnt about them and their escape room business, you can really tell they put a lot of work and care into this business, when I come to Cardiff again, I will definitely be coming back here! Had a fantastic experience at this new escape room company. We have done a fair few escape rooms and really loved this one, primarily for the hosts. They were really chatty and personable which was great and the business is run by a Family group which makes for a really friendly and genuine experience. It is very immersive and the current room that we did is fun and well designed. Can't wait to go back to them when they have another room, and would advise you if you're thinking about booking it, definitely do it, you won't regret it.

Vistied this family run business and had a great time. Hosts were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was challenging but very enjoyable and we felt a good sense of achievement to crack it!! I would definitely come back and can’t wait for their future rooms. I booked the escape room and VR experience for my 40th birthday recently and had am absolute brilliant time. Ben, Ellie and Ceri (hope I got your names right!) were so friendly and welcoming. I had booked both rooms so our party had exclusive use of the lounge area and were able to bring our own drinks and snacks to have in-between games. I could have stayed in the VR room all day, it was so immersive and the Plague is the most challenging and fun escape room I have played. I was impressed that the owners had created and put it all together themselves. I can't wait to play the new room when it is ready and hope to come back for another VR session as well!

Extremely accommodating. We hired the place for a work's event and they put on food and drinks for us. Allowed us to bring our own things well, just constantly catered to our needs and with a smile the entire time. Would definitely recommend!

A group of friends and I went to Exitus for a Friendmas (friend Christmas) party and had an absolute blast! First and foremost, Ben and Ellie are fantastic hosts. The exitus has one escape room at the time of our party (I won’t give away anything important here) - a really cool virus themed room which we did manage to escape from. It was a challenge, but certainly not impossible. When we first arrived one of our party members was running late so the rest of us were offered sweets and drinks from their sweet stand - and they showed us their game room which comes with a VR set up that we were allowed to play on during our wait. I asked about their other rooms and I will certainly be coming back to try them once they are completed. I will certainly like to make my friendmas tradition an outing to Exitus escape rooms!
