Only thing I'm not sold on is the app service. It just feels like it's there for the sake of it and it's not the same level of interaction I'd be getting from table service.

A. 0.Had a surprise afternoon tea booked for me and it was lovely!! The atmosphere, the decor, the set up of the place is gorgeous! Lovely colour theme inside. The afternoon tea was lush, cannot complain, tea was flowing, pastries were delicious, staff was honestly the loveliest, so kind; a lovely experience overall!
C. J.Good couple of hours in the gin garden at Gin & Bake, nice atmosphere in the evening with the music turned high and all seats taken. Great range of gin, all well garnished but not cheap, a large G&T will set you back anything from £10-£20. I always think that in gin bars a standard measure should be 50ml and not priced as a 25ml. Plenty of tapas choice which was really well cooked and fairly priced. Plenty of other spirits, fizz and cocktails for those who don't like gin. Popular place so book ahead.
E. S.Great place. Very welcoming service. A unique feeling decoration that picks up tradition and adds a modern twist. We had great breakfast. The veggie version was as least as great as the meat version.

m.We visited a while ago, absolutely delicious. Had some doughnuts and some really amazing gin cocktails. Very decently priced and the interior was beautiful. Felt incredibly safe as there were security guards and a very controlled system of allowing people to order and eat/drink!

Fantastic place for afternoon tea ☕️ 🫖 🍪 🍰 with a beautiful location and delicious food 🤤 The most amazing thing is the good energy of the staff with happy faces all the time ( we can see the smiley eyes) .. with COVID-19 you need to have reservation before you come ( my visit was early December)
C.Nice atmosphere but ordinary cocktail. Lots of variety in gin. Service was slow as staffs were just chatting behind the bar.
B. P.Difficult review as they put allot of effort in to things like decoration and image but missed allot of basics and some customer service. Food was good and cocktails where good. Customer service as ok but could be better. Temp was cold as they insisted on keeping the door open. No drinks menu for cocktails which even the staff found a pain. Had to pay for each drink add ordered even whilst in the middle of meal. Certainly room for improvement
A. M. B.The restaurant is fabulously kitsch, with tropical plastic flowers and bird cages throughout. Afternoon tea was beautifully presented by the friendly serving staff. The food was very tasty, and the cocktail refreshing. The scones, macaron and opera were our highlights.
I dropped a star for two small issues, a lot of raw onion in the wrap, and the background music was a bit too loud for normal conversation, although they were obviously having issues with the system so this could just be our bad timing.

S.Had an unforgettable afternoon tea hen party. Everything from the initial booking enquiry to the food and the service was really outstanding. Even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon, the staff were really friendly, attentive and looked after us well. Great atmosphere and photo-worthy interiors.
J. B.My daughter & I had lunch here last Saturday & really enjoyed it. Lots of unusual cocktails & the food (we had a selection of the light bites followed by desserts) was delicious.
A special thanks to one young waiter. He had overheard my comment about our cocktails - I asked my daughter how come mine was garnished with a pansy while hers was garnished with a Jaffa cake - and brought me my own Jaffa cake. He made my day 😁
A. D.Great atmosphere in the garden area which has lovely lights around and the surrounding 'shrubs' which make it feel like a nice private garden from everything going on around Mermaid Quay. Worked really well, just sit at a table and use the app to order drinks, and there's such a selection of drinks too!
The gin was served in lovely glasses with nice fresh fruit in them.
Will definitely be coming back here to try the other gins and cakes they have to offer!
N. F.Absolutely loved coming here for tea and cake today. Served on beautiful Portmerion china and they give you huge slices of cake too. The decor is utterly gorgeous and the whole place was extremely clean and adhering to social distancing rules. Didn't try the gin this time around but we'll be back! 100% recommend!
