g. b.International weekend visit James manager is lovely honest host who goes the extra mile to accommodate everyone. Pay £5 to get in as it’s well worth it. Pubs have had a hard time over past two years and Kiwis trying to make everyone smile. Great bar great atmosphere. I visit this bar every two years for rugby international and it’s consistently good.

N.What can I say??Was only looking to have a quick drink before getting my train home, but the eclectic music, the lovely staff and the relaxed ambience made me stay for two more on top.On my own.I would happily have stayed longer but was being sensible. They are applying all the latest rules of the government's Covid restrictions without making it feel like it's a chore just to be there.Applause all round!!xx

r.it's a great atmosphere for karaoke night but also a must visit place after a major event such as rugby.doesn't take too long to get served,well priced considering it's city centre.highly reccommended for anyone wanting karaoke ,but also a nice friendly city centre pint.
s. s.Enjoyed a couple of drinks here last weekend, pleasant atmosphere and staff were nice. Clean and well distanced tables, loses a star down to the extortionate cost of drinks! £18 for 2 double vodkas! Didn't even pay attention at the time, just tapped our cards so our fault, but that is ridiculous!

D. C.Visited a couple weeks ago, found it a bit.....Meh....compared to what the city has to offer. Somewhere between a sports bar and a club....essentially a small walkabout.....the new naff ones, not the old school brilliant ones. I popped in to see what the place was like. Nice inside for sure but not not be showing the rugby seemed a bit strange given the Kiwi theme.

J. R.Long and narrow, not a lot of seating so be prepared to stand. Toilets down large flight of steep stairs. Pool table at the one end. Beer reasonably priced. We were there of a Friday night and there was a live band playing which were good. Very popular place.

A. E. (.Interesting place, always seem to end up here on the Christmas outings. Good music, beers are always spot on and the staff are great. Door men are always watching for trouble and very fast to prevent issues. Reason for 4 stars is the steepness of the toilet stairs. I know it's an old building but the stairs are interesting when you've had a few.

J. B.The reason I've enjoyed this place before is because of the music. It plays classic rock and memorable tracks from the 80's to the 90's. They serve a nice selection of ales. But it's very small.
When there is a live band it seems to be too loud. And some of people that come in are ridiculously hammered and pester people in the bar but nothing is done about it.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, Shame I never got to sing but I'll show you next time 😉. Wanted to test my confidence as I've had a song written for me and one day I'll need to be in front of audience.
