This was a great place to eat. The afternoon tea was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed. The food was really tasty. The service was really good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were accommodating and had children with us and they made sure accommodated for them. The afternoon tea was worth the money. Would recommend.

Had the fishcake and roast port, both were served warm not hot. Food is well presented but tastes average, pork v chewy. Tatre citron nice however we left the salt chocolate tart. Staff nice, ambience busy and noisy.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Really enjoyed the Ham terrine and the Hake with Chive butter mash and butter sauce. My crumble was good too and my husband enjoyed the beef. Service was quite slow. We have been coming to Laguna's for years and always enjoy the food. Unfortunately after all these years the men's toilets still smell and there's always flooding. Surely they should have been able to sort that out by now!!!

Went here for a afternoon/gentleman’s tea last week and it was absolutely amazing! The food that came with the gentleman’s tea was out of this world. The staff were great - very polite and helpful. One of our party was pregnant and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating with advice on food and making sure it was suitable for someone during pregnancy. Will definitely be going back for round 2!

Had afternoon tea here for the first time and it was wonderful. Great selection of tea available and the food was plentiful and delicious. Strict adoption of COVID-19 guidelines was good to see, but it didn’t impact the service which was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!

Very disappointing Hendricks afternoon tea the drink was ok but the food was disgusting the scones clearly not freshly made but warmed doughey from a pack I'd guess. Cream was horrid not cold They did exchange for fresh ones but much the same Sandwiches were dry the coaster in the tart was soggy The environment was nice They offered us another pot of Hendricks but we declined but accepted a complimentary cocktail in its place sadly the manager couldn't seem to accept the poor quality we brought to his attention This was the worst afternoon tea we ever had and the images we used to books did not depict what we received I'd say the poor Mans afternoon tea for £24 pp is maybe what they should name it

Have to say well done to the staff for making us feel safe and well looked after. Nothing was to much trouble and they made a point of stating if at any time we felt unsafe or uncomfortable they would do what they can to assist. The restaurant is very well spaced out to the point where you couldn't really hear other tables conversations which is a pleasant change. The food was fantastic. My wife and I both had the steak which was cooked perfectly. We started with scallops and prawn cocktail which where lovely and fresh. The drinks where ice cold. Very friendly and polite staff and lovely food. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a night out for a lovely meal in a lovely setting.

Amazing dining experience !! Five star service...five star food...five star restaurant. The perfect place for a romantic evening, date night to impress or birthday venue. First visit for afternoon tea with daughter and grand daughter and wow!!! Beautiful and chic surroundings with comfortable chairs and wonderful staff. Staff came over very professional and polite and went the extra for you to make sure all was fine. We did arrive half hour early which wasnt a problem at all and was shown to our table without any fuss. The young waitress took our coats and settled us with a menu before returning to see if we were ready for our tea/coffee. Added bonus these days was her lovely smile which remained throughout her service. She took the time to chat to us and it made a nice change to be greeted by her everytime with a smile. Afternoon tea was gorgeous....bread lovely and fresh and not too much filling which didnt ooze from the sides. Plenty of delicate cakes and also included a small raspberry trifle with a swirl of cream topped with a Park Plaza chocolate disc. Absolutely delicious and will no doubt return for a second, third or fourth time.

I've had food here twice now and both times it was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really nice! Last visit was mothers day and although it was incredibly busy and we were a table of 10, service was great and food was just as good as my first visit 👌

Went for lunch with a big group of friends. It's an attractive restaurant with a pretty outlook and the service was good. Everyone in my group were really happy with their meals but sadly not me as the only vegan. I had a superfood salad to start which was delicious but was given a choice of curry or mushroom risotto for the main. I chose risotto as I'd eaten curry the day before. The risotto was so salty I had to send it back. The second one that arrived was just as salty but I kept that as my friends were more than halfway through their meals by then. I was surprised to be told when I complained that the second risotto was also salty, that the chef had tasted it and said it was fine. Maybe the chef likes an excess of salt but I do not. I was offered a complimentary pudding by way of apology but what I really wanted was to have had a nice meal I could actually eat all of rather than just picking out the mushrooms and leaving the rice. It's a shame a top Cardiff hotel isn't more creative with vegan choices especially as it had been informed when booking some weeks ago.

I will be making the Laguna Afternoon tea an annual trip for my trips home from NZ. Came for afternoon tea to celebrate my Mums 80th birthday. Couldn't have been better. We know this restaurant very well. We've eaten here many times. And maybe some may say it's a little expensive, I would say the whole experience is a pleasure from start to finish. Today we dropped in just before 2:30 for a late lunch and we were spoilt from the off. The lunch was lovely, that service was efficient and almost invisible. Highly recommended

It's very up market place and the vibe is a bit stuffy but the waiting staff were very patient and helpful. The food was great a little pricey though but it's to be expected as it is the restaurant of the oarc plaza so the standards are high. They have wonderful afternoon teas which are well worth booking for but I advise you to have the gentleman's selection as the food Is devine and much more substantial than the traditional teeny weeny sandwiches.
