E. P.Every member of staff I've spoken to here has been LOVELY. if the staff weren't so pleasant I would have knocked a star off.
The only really bad point is that I've never had 4G signal, and there's barely any WiFi signal (even though free WiFi is provided yay), I guess that can be great if you're having a phone free time but in terms of ordering right now it's a pain. Please get a WiFi booster guys!
However the North Star is clean, nicely decorated, has loads of seating, and a good selection of drinks fairly priced. I haven't been for food myself but I've heard mixed reviews on the veggie Sunday lunch - but great that the option exists all the same. :)

C. L.Decent steak cooked as ordered (which believe me can be hard to find). We also ordered the fish and chips,the fish was huge, the size of a child's arm! Would like to try their Sunday roast as have heard great things. Recommended.

It's now a very student oriented pub, bright lights, pool tables, large TV & even on the afternoon I went, loud.
Bar staff are friendly & pleasant but the beer is limited in choice & I didn't see any craft beer. Price is OK.

R. B.This place is awesome the staff is really friendly there are TVs all over and an outside areas. I am visiting from the us and the staff are really nice and make great drinks. There are TVs all over so you can see any sports that are on there is darts and other games. The outside is big and really cool I was surprised beacuse you can't tell from the front how big it is. If you're in the area and looking for a pub make this a stop.

G. D. J. S.I went here with a few friends for a meal and drinks and I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the cocktails were all lovely and very reasonably priced, and the food was fantastic. My Beer Battered Halloumi burger may be one of the best burgers I have ever had, was a fantastic size and really great value for money. The cheesecake for desert was a generous size and extremely indulgent. The decor was also very nice and all was a great experience.
I would highly recommend the food and drinks here which are very tasty and excellent value for money!

J. X.The staff are friendly enough and the food is okay. Not a great amount of choice on the menu, having recently got rid of some pub classics. Prices are average for Cardiff. It can get a little loud on match day.
W. T.Decent pub. I particularly enjoy coming here with friends for a game of pool. They have two tables. There's also table tennis if that's your thing. the pub is pretty big, the food is decent and nothing is too expensive. My only gripe is that it's a bit loud, they often play music which can be slightly frustrating when you're just trying to have a drink and a chat.
