It was OK, fairly friendly staff but my food was overcooked and bland. Had a gourmet steak and it was tough and didn't have much taste, the jacket potato was dry and even though I was really hungry at the end of a long day of work I did not really enjoy the meal. For that reason I left straight after rather than having a few more drinks as I normally would. I think they must have known as nobody came over to ask if my food was OK. Disappointing

This is what I'm looking for in terms of easy going eating fare. Cod is flaky and great portion. Chips are delicious. The cider is excellent. No pretense just good food.

Very rarely visit Cardiff but enjoyed the visit to the Central bar. Staff very friendly. The loss of 1 star was because the fish dish was not available but there was plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely visit again.

I would say this is the best Whetherspoon bar in Cardiff City. Easy to get serve whatever the occasion or event hoping on in the city. Friendly courteous staff and well presented food served hot and quickly. Nice beer garden split into smokers and non. I've spent the whole day there because it's that good.

Enjoyed a peaceful Sunday catch up here. Pleasant atmosphere, able to chat and hear, even though it was quite popularcat the time. Fab selection of ales. Attentive staff. Unlike many other Spoons even the toilets were in the same pub!

What can you say another Witherspoon's. Menu what you would expect as per the franchise. This pub is a large spacious room not too crowded and room to move. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the product. A good evening was spent here.

Not a good day! We had to ask where our food was after a 45 minute wait and watching other people who had ordered after us being served. When it came it was obvious that it had been sat under a food lamp and then zapped in the microwave - all hard and dry....although it was very hot!😄- lesson learned..avoid when busy.

Fine for a few cheap drinks. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. But not very clean at all and can be hard to get a table as filled with students most of the time. We sat outside and the queue to get in was right next to our table, and people were smoking and spitting on the floor the other side of the barrier which was right next to us, so no social distancing at all due to this, we didn't stay long. Out of all the spoons I wouldn't recommend this one.

Had a really positive experience here. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout despite it being very busy. Came here roughly two weeks ago where outdoor seating was only possible. The seating outside was adequate, with the back area being rather nice. The food here was to the Wetherspoons standard! And the drinks were all served very quickly.

Fast and friendly service, food was lovely and of a high standard. Even with complicated food requirements they got everything spot on. There were no worries as far as social distancing etc goes, it was all as it should have been. Staff were accommodating and helpful, very friendly. Disabled access was ok as far as I could see. I have been there a few times and will definitely go back again next time I am in cardiff. Would recommend for a nice meal.

I like Weatherspoon, reasonable food, good beer and quick and friendly service. The staff in this bar were very helpful. Had a curry special (on Thursdays), £8 including a pint. Very good value. I have also been here for breakfast and that was great as the cooked breakfast included unlimited coffee all for £6.50. It's a safe bet for a good price.

Friendly staff and very reasonable drink prices and a busy ambience. This was my go to pub while in Cardiff as whilst busy its not as pretentious as some of the other places and if you want a chat and a drink then it's great. An additional bonus is that there is a outdoor area at the back if you want to get away from the busy bar and it is also a smoking area.

Went for a reunion with old, really old, colleagues. Some of the carpets could do with a wash but it's OK there.

Food is relatively cheap, fairly fast and of decent quality. You get an alcoholic or soft drink with most meals as a deal. The mixed grill was surprisingly good, the app didn't offer me an option for the temperature of the steak but it was a nicely cooked medium/medium-well. The garlic naan with the curry was absolutely solid though and was a disappointment. Caramel cookie dough sandwich is a great dessert

Typical Weatherspoons chain pub. Very small amount of tables downstairs and even though they have seating upstairs this is not an option when you are less able bodied. Food times vary and so does the quality of the food but they do offer a free drink or dessert if there are issues with your food.

We ordered off special menus on the table and when we went to pay they tried to charge us full price so be aware. The food was lovely when it came though we had lamb shanks and so tender falling off bone more gravy would have been nice. Would recommend try if in area.

Cheap alcohol, usually less busy than the other spoons in the city centre. For some reason the food is better here too (I know it's the same stuff as all the other spoons, go figure). Staff are great and I've never had a problem here. Definitely recommend.

Busy though on a Saturday would expect that and especially if a game is in town. Staff friendly over the years of grabbing a bite to eat. However the meals here seem to be more miss than hit in the list year. The recent few times it has been totally undercooked. Plus with the slowly increasing prices and portions sizes not matching the blurb it no longer offers the best value for money.

Very convenient location, near to Cardiff museum, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama which often holds recitals and concerts etc. So near cultural heart. Serves veggie and vegan meals. Good service.

Loads of spaces as they have 2 floors, also has 2 bars which means shorter wait times which is always a bonus. Large range of drinks and good all at a good price and can order from your phone

On a rugby international day get in early hard to get a seat .my mates and me stayed most of the day waiting for a concert at motorpoint arena had lots of beer and food food ready in about ten minutes very efficient

My husband and I went half on a sirloin steak and a rack of ribs. The steak was cooked amazing perfectly medium rare. The ribs wernt fo bad but wish I got a who,e steak. The pint of darm fruits was really tasty and lovely and cold.

Alright wetherspoons in the centre of Cardiff. Has a really nice outside seating area, is about a 10 minute walk away from the train station. Drinks are the standard decent wetherspoons good value, food is cheap as well. Bar staff are friendly, there is a strong students presence during the week.

Came here about 9.45pm on a Friday, very mixed age range, quite busy too. Larger kept its head. Only real criticism would be glass collection was non existent, there were several glasses left with drink still in, obviously not belonging to anyone, result was table was barged and the drink spilt, luckily it didn't touch us the person responsible apologised and got tissue from behind the bar and mopped up the spillage.

Took me a while to find this bar. Not that I was searching for it. But on a night out in Cardiff you usually come across many bars or hear about them via word and mouth. But I'm glad I found this wether spoons. 2 floors, great staff, great service, plenty of room and epic offers. Also if you are a student you will get some great deals on food. Not a huge beer garden but it's set out well, I'm no expert but there must be some sort of fueng shuey going on here. Not crowded very often so perfect for a quiet beer after work.

Yesterday myself my girlfriend and two of our friends visited this place for some lunch and a catch up which we do every few weeks but this time it was spoilt by three unruly and screaming kids that were never told to be quiet if Wetherspoons are going to let children in there parents must be told to keep them under control or they will be asked to leave or afternoon was totally spoilt further more my girlfriend had chocolate split or rub onto the back of her coat I do hope that Wetherspoon take on my comments and does something about it.
