J. Q.Top Bar is a great place to find more of a pub vibe when contrasted with the SU Bar and Sub Zero. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and professional. It is right next to Fusion, the Essex Food restaurant, so you can order some food and sit in the bar to wait for it and eat it. There is also a pool table. Top Bar is usually the go-to for after society events. To find Top Bar, walk past The Hex on the way to Square 3 and then go up the stairs across from the copy centre.

C.More relaxed atmosphere than the student bar. Drinks are reasonable, about the same as Wetherspoons. £1.50 for a pint of Coke and £3 for a pint of beer.
V. S.Cheap prices for drinks, ok service, nice and lively atmosphere. It can get crowded during lunch and dinner, or after events organised by the University for the public. Bear in mind that the drinks selection is not the greatest.
F. I.The quality of the food is solid, the atmosphere is amazing and it's just a great place for a postgrad to go to. Shame they no longer do noodles, it was the best food they offered there.
