Reviews of The Empire

I really like the balcony bar area, good staff, good security and decent sound from the venue too. Just be careful using the escalator going into and out of the venue; it's disused but sharp edges for anybody with wobbly legs after a drink or two I'd imagine.

First time at a gig in Coventry and the Empire was an excellent venue. The bar prices were reasonable and queues were not too long. It was a decent size for the event and seemed smart, having apparently only opened recently. I’ll be back next year to see The Enemy in their home town.

Had a fantastic nite at the Empire, it was the first time I've been there. Really great venue, really great staff and also we had to provide a covid passport to get in which made us feel way more relaxed so we could get on with enjoying our evening. 5⭐

We'd booked for a Fleetwood Mac tribute band (Fleetingwood Mac - they were very good). Tickets said doors opened at 7. They opened a little after but the band didn't start until 8 (this information wasn't provided).
The venue itself is on the first floor accessible by stairs or a lift. There is a small bar and balcony that can be used before/during/after performances.
The main room is large and has two stages. There is also a bar in there.
As we'd not visited before, we were expecting a theatre-style with seating. However, it was an open space with chairs available but mainly standing.
There were a lot of people but it wasn't overcrowded.
Good security, lovely staff.
Drinks are expensive at £5+ per pint, although it's not much different from other venues in the area.
Accessibility - venue primarily accessible by stairs but a lift is available. Balcony area is via a few steps. Main toilets are up a large flight of stairs, toilet area is quite narrow but there are plenty available. There is a disabled/baby change within the main venue, which is accessible with a radar key.

Fantastic venue in the centre of Coventry. Easy to access and car parking is available a few minutes walk from the venue.
The venue is a great size for largish intimate sized shows.
Staff are awesome aswell.
Pity, I took videos instead of photos though!!

Very happy with the customer of service when i visited the tills wasnt working but staff was still able to serve and had no problems with totalling it all up at the end the staff are quick and very friendly and they also have a lovely balcony with benches on so you can sit outside the prices are abit more then your local but with the design and customer service quality anyone in there right mind would have no issues with prices.

The venue itself is fantastic - spacious, multiple bars and a balcony with nice views, the stage lighting is amazing. Plenty of parking spaces, as part of a large shopping area. One star down for air con, as it was really hot during the performance, making you sweat even if you just stood around.

One of the best venues I've been to! Great sound, good layout for being able to see the band, good quality range of drinks, and a wonderful outdoor balcony over the square!
Only downside is a remarkably sticky floor
