Friendly locals and staff great atmosphere and a fabulous undercover garden space. Good value prices on the drinks. Good food and a lovey way to serve a coffee or tea on a little tray with milk served in a cute churn. Its the little attention to detail that we loved.

Lovely little pub just off the cycle/walking track along the old railway line from Hilton to Derby. Great stopping off pub on the way. Very nice real ale. Try the locally made sausage rolls, they are fabulous! Friendly staff, nice outdoor sitting area.

Went in today ( Sunday) around 5.30 pm to be told the food had finished at 4.00 pm. However the woman who has just taken over the pub 2weeks before accommodated us . She arranged for us to have a pie and the trimmings each which we were very grateful for after a day spent walking . So thanks to all .

Went in for Sunday dinner today with my wife and child were made really welcome. The pubs just had a refurb and looks great. Sunday lunch was fantastic, beef and gravy were to die for!

Independent pub who brew their own ales and lagers. Friendly and committed staff, dog friendly beer garden and curry night on Tuesday is famous for a reason!

1st visit since major refurb from new owners. The swap over of rooms is good so that dining area is closer to kitchen, not impressed with colour scheme. Shame no Pedie or Bass. Hawk was renowned for its Pedie. Roebuck not to my taste. Overall the place has lost its village pub feel but to some this may be seen as progress.
