A surprisingly large and trendy venue. Large range of drinks but be aware the focus is on cocktails. Reasonably priced food with good service. Prices are what you would expect from a popular place such as this. Mainly aimed at the younger crowd at the weekend, but all are made welcome. Worth a visit. M

Really great environment with lots of rum drinks (which I'll get to in a moment). The nachos were amazing! I live in Mexico and honestly I want more of the nachos from Revolución. The spicing of the beef was perfect. The staff knew a lot about rum and were trained well! My only problem is that the company made some absurd decision to stop selling as much rum and shift over to more of a whisky place. That doesn't make sense. Latin America is all about rum and there's a demand. I went there because I was recommended the place as a rum bar. They had some great rums still but stopped stocking the fancy stuff which I wanted to try. Either way, the place was very enjoyable and the size was shocking on entry. I was not expecting it to be as big as it was. There are multiple sitting areas. There's the large public one, there's the VIP bar area and there is a good sized relaxed area upstairs. There could even be more that I'm missing. I'm definitely glad I went and would go back again! I just hope they stock more rums for a rum themed bar!

We went here for the 1st time last night for our date night and we weren't disappointed. When we went in, there was live music and a great ambiance. We asked for a quieter table and our waitress showed us to a roped off area just off the main seating area. As this was Friday night most of the tables were taken so we were lucky that we booked. As a side not staff are really friendly and helpful. Thank you to our waitress Indra. Now about the food, we chose to have nachos for starter and tapas food and both arrived quickly. Menu had a good range of meat and vegetarian dishes and all arrived at the table steaming hot. Highly recommend the nacho sharer with the beef. From tapas our favourites were calamari, lambondingas and cajun cream mushrooms. We arrived just before 7pm and were lucky to order cocktails from the happy hour (3-7pm) menu. Definitely place to visit if you are a foodie and like to have more flavour in your life.

Myself and 5 friends eat at Revolucion de Cuba last night. Each couple order 6 dishes and drinks. We had the Jerk Chicken, Prawns, Beef Tacos, Cajun Mushrooms & Pork Belly. It was absolutely delicious! Service was excellent and food came quick. Atmosphere was good with a live band too! Would visit again and recommend to anyone eating out in Derby !

Tuesday tapas, been quite a few times before and it’s been great but a bit disappointed tonight. No red wine!!! Noooo red wine in a pub!! I can’t quite believe it 😆. No patatas bravas, or chips, not that I’d have chips normally with tapas. Had bread and oil and I’m 99% sure the “balsamic” was malt vinegar by the colour and taste ☹️

I have been going every Sunday to enjoy and dance to the live music of The Sugar Tree. Amazing atmosphere on Sundays!! The only thing to complain is that the food was too salty and the heat at the dance floor. They could turn on the AC or the fans.

Went for a Bottomless Brunch on Saturday and it totally exceeded expectations! We were so very well looked after, great food, drinks and service. Our main server Indra, was absolutely fantastic and honestly made the whole experience amazing .....even whilst having to handle 15 people full of 'bottomless booze'. Highly recommended ❤️

Love it!!! My absolute favourite place to eat in Derby!! Pictured in the photos: Patatas Bravas Tapas Cajun Cream Mushrooms Tapas Mojito Pina Colada!! First of all this place was very clean, everything was wiped down after people leave which was the case when we arrived as our table was wet but I don't mind that, we ordered the Mojito (without mint) as it is freshly made and also the Pina Colada, both were amazing and it's great to see them being made from our seats by looking over at the bar. We ordered 2 tapas each, which was Potatas Bravas which is absolutely beautiful, I actually prefer the ones here than the ones I have tried in Spain, it's got spicy tomato sauce and garlic aioli on top. YUM!! We also ordered the Cajun Cream Mushrooms with no herbs on top (my Mum who I went with can't have herbs like mint and parsley) the staff were great and because it's all fresh then they can alter the dish for us! The mushrooms are especially lovely on top of bread which you can buy (Crusty Breads) This meal is just the right amount to not be too full, there are some gorgeous tapas on the menu, I absolutely love the Charred Halloumi and Veg as well! I also recommend the Virgin Zombie Slayer Mocktail which is nice and fruity!! Lovely place with Fantastic food!

The Jackfruit Chilli burrito was flavourful and yet not overpowering. It doesn't look like your average neighbourhood bar. The deco is quite impressive and Overall, it is a cosy place for groups, or also a gorgeous dining area for a casual date.

We had bottomless brunch and honestly we had the best time our waitress was indra and she never stopped running around after us .. she was so fast, attentive and just all round amazing ... the drinks we had were Brillant and just kept coming ! The live music was great, service was good however The food was poor; jerk chicken almost took my teeth out, halloumi salad was horrendous- raw broccoli and cauliflower amongst other stuff of which I’m not even sure what it was all soaked in an awful sauce with only 4 bits of halloumi on top in a massive bowl. The food was alright, the cocktails were alright but unfortunately a live band in a restaurant doesn't really work as we couldn't hear anything for the whole meal. The waiter seemed quite perplexed that we wanted food, despite us having booked to eat. I think you need to decide if you're a bar or a restaurant. Would be good for drinks only. *Edit - the band were great! We did ask for another table but that was the only one you had due to Xmas parties.

Fantastic bottomless brunch. We were served by Monika, she was lovely and always available to bring us more drinks!! :) We started off with Mimosas and bruschetta and then ordered various drinks throughout our two hour time slot (there's a choice of 6 different drinks, so those that didn't want prosecco could have a pint etc) we had a choice of about 8 different meals that we could have too, and everyone seemed pleased with their food! They were accommodating with changes we wanted to make as well. Great atmosphere, lovely food and staff. Fantastic value for money with it only being £20 each!! Historical open space makes for a good setting. Service was friendly, sharp, professional. Food (tapas) was tasty and well presented. Could have been hotter. Part of my friends Hen Party was held here last night. We did a cocktail masterclass with Kieran and Lewis. They were absolutely fantastic! They got on board with our craziness and made it so much fun for our 2 Hens! This place is amazing. I cant put in to words how good this place is and I have to say its not all Rev De Cuba's, the Derby one is way way better than any others I have visited. The atmosphere is electric with great music which is part of the reason they have such a good buzz. If you are looking for an upbeat, fun, friendly vibe then this is the place to go. I can not recommended this place enough. Words just cant describe the amazing atmosphere you get here. The food is amazing and we never eat anywhere else as you just cant beat it. The service is probably the best bit about here, all staff are friendly and welcoming but Jack and Jordan are outstanding. Highly recommending. Always returning to Revolucion de Cuba after 5 years not living in Derby. This place have such a charm and lovely vibe. The quality of the food in this place it's always been depending on the chef in the kitchen, have some good moments and bad moments but the menu itself it's so well done. Nice food & friendly staff. As an eating venue it is very nice but as a pub it gets absolutely packed, hot & uncomfortable. Very unsuitable for anyone physically disabled. This place turns into a typical night club after dark, so maybe suits younger people who enjoy crowded, noisy, over priced establishments.

I’ve been to Rev de Cuba a number of times and have nothing but great things to say. The food is always amazing and they have a wide variety of cocktails to choose from which are made to perfection every time. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them, they aim to make sure you are happy! Whenever I have been with family/friends Jack & Jordan have always made sure we are looked after and offer an outstanding service. Would highly recommend to anyone!

A city centre bar which looks great from the outside, a little disappointed once entered the venue not as cluby as it seems spirits a little on the expensive side as are the shots, staff seemed to be a little hard word and I got the feeling that it was too much trouble to serve me my drinks and staff never seem to smile or feel welcoming, not a place I frequent often simply because I feel staff seem cold and unwelcoming to customers but with the correct staff and possibly management this place could be a gold mine as it was some years ago not only this but it would be a great meeting point for a night out unfortunately this has not been the case on every occasion I have frequented the bar which is why I chose not to as much now at all. Disappointed hugely guys.

Cannot fault the food at all it was excellent and reasonably priced. The service however left a lot to be desired. We were seated straight away (seven of us) and our drinks order taken. 20 mins later we asked how much longer we had to wait and within two mins our order arrived. At this point our food order was taken! Fifty minutes later again after enquiring how long the meals would be our food arrived. It was not busy and the time delays were never explained to us. The food was great and we will go again I just hope they are a little bit more attentive next time.

Always been my favourite restaurant, one time there was a mistake with the drinks (after a menu change the mock tails were confused with cocktails) which was handled perfectly. Monaca (outstanding waitress) handled both the complaint and the compensating meal amazingly, as did the manager who was more than reasonable and very approachable. Always raved about this place because of the tapas and cocktails but this mishap (inevitable in a restaurant at some point) was dealt with so professionally and respectfully I had to leave a glowing review.

Revolucion de Cuba in the centre of Derby is a lively cocktail bar. A party atmosphere and great service in a unique setting. Staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are quite steep, and there isn't a great selection of alcohol if you don't aren't a fan of cocktails (I think they only had one beer). Full transparency - I reviewed this place 2 stars originally - I was pretty drunk when I did that, and I have no idea what they'd done to slight Drunk Jim. This is a proper review.
