We tried to book a table for this evening but, as usual, it was fully booked. There is a good reason for this though - the food is fantastic, the staff are lovely, and the place is really well kept and has great decor! Also, it was no problem because there is usually a table available in the bar where the same food can be ordered. Always a treat to visit!

Great service. Not one thing wrong, which is highly unusual for a pub restaurant these days. The staff were attentive and available. The food was amazing, and the selection on the menus was fantastic. Only small, minor thing was about portion sizes ... they could be slightly bigger and then this would have been a 5 star review. Great service and lunch menu was not only very good value but also well cooked and attractively presented. A busy Friday lunchtime but a well organised team of staff. One of our party had the gluten free menu which also provided a good selection of food. An enjoyable lunch and we will definitely be going back.

I've driven past this place a dozen times, and finally decided to try a meal here. It was brill. Lovely place inside, they had a Hawaiian theme on the day we were there, and they were really going for it too. Grass skirts, lei's aplenty, and an outdoor seating area to was equally well decorated. Brilliant. The food was also excellent. Generous portions and very, very tasty. Even the house salad was delicious. Very dog friendly too. Give it a whirl if you're in the area.

Mothers day meal but unfortunately half of the menu was not available as we were eating late afternoon around 5.30ish . Would have thought they would anticipate an above average patronage but seems not . Spoke to the manager who was very apologetic and knocked some off the final bill. Staff were friendly and what we ate was pretty good shame it wasn't the first choice for most .Would try it again sometime but eat earlier to avoid disappointment.

Just lovely 😍 great quality tasty food and amazing portions . Lovely seating outside with shaded booths or seats in the sun. Nice indoor areas with covid rules all set in place where needed. A nice but at times busy pub with typical pub style menu. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Food was very good with reasonable portion sizes. The pub is an ideal stop off point for Alton Towers and the Derbyshire Peak District. The only reason I have given it 4* is due to the waiting time for food as we had very hungry kids who had to wait quite a long time to be fed. I believe this was due to a staff shortage which I am sure will be addressed. Apart from that worth a visit.

We went for a quick lunch and thankfully they had spaces available in the bar area. Being gluten free I have to be careful. Thankfully they had a salad with fish which was ideal and very refreshing. I just wish more places were gluten friendly and made it clear on the menu which items were gluten free.

Vert nice pub restaurant, we went on the way home hoping to grab a quick bite, the restaurant was busy and we were told that we could still dine but in the bar, it was busy but not overcrowded, we went into an area where some ladies were and they were rude to us but we continued to take a seat, we were then told by a member of staff that we were in fact in the private function room so we moved, we ordered and the wait on the food was very long, it came out and it was great! This is what gave this place the extra stars!

Very good meals and the staff are brilliant. Chicken Tikka banquet is an excellent meal. Katsu Chicken. Wow. Lovely taste and the Chicken Fajitas are worth a try UPDATE. New menu's are now out. Not as good I'm sorry to say which is a shame. Not the staff's fault but when a child's roast us bigger than the Skewers for an adult. Menu picture shows two skewers but only one was on the plate. I will be on the Greene King website complaining. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DONT FIX IT !!!!!!!!

Nice Remote yet Accessible Family Pub by A516! Location: convenient to access from Mickleover Derby or villages like Hilton; by A516 The interiors of the pub is quite modern, the area I sat on was with high ceilings and lots of natural light; the tables by the bar in box seats has a telly mounted on the wall by each table. There is an outdoor eating and smoke area also. Food: Good variety ranging from Salads, Pub Classics (like Wraps, Steak Pie, Burger) (~£10), Hunter’s Chicken (£11), Seafood Platter (£14); Portion size are superb (I cannot finish my Hunters Chicken) Cost: £15-£20+/person; especially if you are lenient with your drinks order (coffee @ £2.85; spritz around £3) Customer Service: very attentive— took our orders carefully and checked if we are happy with our meal :) As a Mother’s Day special, we were offered with a standard size bottle of Red Wine! Overall: will recommend and will likely visit again! Tip: To reach Seven Wells by Car: Google Satnav may direct you to enter the parking area on A516. In reality the entrance is on Heage Lane, by the auction house Hanson’s. Just look out for Hanson’s banner as you are turning on the roundabout, where you can see Seven Wells on the roundabout.

My family and I love this place, we had a party of seven yesterday afternoon, we were very well catered for and the food was amazing. Could you please pass our comments onto the girl who served us, she had bright pink/purpley hair in plaits (I didn't manage to catch her name) but her service was excellent. Very friendly and well mannered, she was just excellent, brilliant personality, she is a credit to your pub. Thanks again, I'm sure we'll be back. 🙂

Just had a lovely pre Christmas meal with 9 members of our family. The food was very nice, the staff as always very helpful making our evening very enjoyable. Lovely looking place. Had a quality feel about. Table were clean and not sticky, a pleasant surprise. Decor lovely, it had s fresh feel about it. We had s lovely tablet position. The girl who served us was pleasant and efficient and even checked back after the food arrived. Menu looked really interesting. We had the lamb shank and vegetarian Wellington, both sounded exciting and tasty. It arrived in a perfectly reasonable time. Veg was perfectly cooked for us and still crunchy. However. .... The Yorkshire's were well past their best, over cooked and solid. The mash tasted and had the texture of tinned Smash made from powder. We ordered extra gravey, you never get enough, but it was very, very thick and so salty it took hours before the salty taste faded from our mouths. Finally... The lamb shank had dried out badly. We had heard great things about this place but it was all looks and no food quality. Sorry folks.... It was only one visit and late on Sunday afternoon.

Popped in for a late breakfast/early lunch and found everything was alright. My big veggie breakfast was decent and they happily swapped out my eggs for an extra hash brown and veggie sausage 👌 slightly disappointed with my partner's order of feta and "grilled" vegetable ciabatta, which was served with raw peppers and onions. My partner wasn't too fussed but it was slightly annoying to be honest. Coffee was good and food was alright value for money, just a typical chain pub at the end of the day. FoH staff were great though, poor elements of review are no reflection on them at all.

Booked table week before .arrived shown to a table .was not clean had to be cleaned .ordered starter when it came the garlic mushrooms were large slices of mushrooms in breadcrumbs not small .had to wait for cutlery. Main course mine was hunters chicken expected chicken breast but got large slices of chicken bacon was burnt. Bloody flies and migges around table .had to wait for cutlery again. Not impressed at all .been before and had been better .

This is my favourite pub. I didn't want to like it because it's a bit far to walk but it is my favourite pub in / near town. There are many things on their menu I like and usually I have a hard time choosing what I want because there are so many things I like compared to other places where I can't find anything that sounds good. Would recommend :) P.S. It does certainly seem to be popular with families and every time we've gone there have been tables with young kids.

Came here a couple of times for lunches and dinners. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the overall atmosphere of the pub is warm and inviting. The choices on the menu is adequate and well described, and the food is well presented. The lunchtime menu also has a lighter bites section and these are just as good a quality and adequate portion size.

Really enjoy visiting here. Great food and friendly staff. Really nice vibe here, feels happy and relaxing. The coffee here is so nice too. As I am a smoker I appreciate that they have a smokers room with comfortable chairs and heaters. I'm perfectly happy to sit there and chat after my meal with a coffee and friends.

Consistently good food, and so far we've always enjoyed very good service, too. Unless we book ahead we've had 50/50 success getting into the restaurant, but have always found a table in the bar area if nothing free in restaurant (the menu is same, just without the table service). The staff are great at accommodating us when we have our 6yr old daughter, and generally manage to find us a booth with a built-in TV (which helps keep her entertained while we order).

Myself and my family visit quite often. The food is always hot and tasty, and the staff are very friendly. Just a little moan, my son and myself had a meal on Friday 16th November. All the food was delicious, but my son's meal of scampi was more like a child's portion. Had we not had a starter, he would've gone home hungry, however, it has not put us off, but man size portions for a growing man please

This pub makes a good watering hole for a visit to Hanson's Auctions. After a good session at the Auctions, it's ideally placed next door to Hanson's for a lunch break. The beer is good, lunch food menu is varied and service is excellent, all is clean and tidy and good value for money. Obviously on auction days it's quite busy, even so, the service easily keeps pace with demand. The car park is large and up to the task of pub clientele and auction demand. To sum up a really well oiled and slick establishment.

Reasonably priced pub which serves up some tasty food and drink. The location is a convenient place to pop in if your around the A50 or A516 near to Etwall. Pleasant place with a beer garden, the staff seem both friendly and provide good service. Ideal place to have a drive out, feels like it's a remote place, yet at the same time not a million miles from anywhere.

We regularly use the Seven Wells for largish family gatherings and they have been able to handle tables of sixteen or so without difficulty. There's usually a fair wait for food at lunchtime (45 mins last time when there were just three of us) but they do warn you when you order and it's fine if you know and are not in a hurry. Otherwise the service is good, the menu offers plenty of pub favourites and there is plenty of free parking.

I used to love the old rustic style of the seven wells, really nic eplace to go for food during the day or evening, but the food was average. The recent refurbishment has reversed this. The decor is now pretty box standard. They've gone for the modern restaurant approach, with pine panels and LCD screens on some of the booths. The oak beams, rustic wooden tables and wooden cart wheels are nowhere to be seen, which is a real shame as thats what gave this place its character. However, the food is now excellent.. cant fault it... so its advised in that respect.
