Great venue! As shown below, the food is set at a great standard, very well presented, tastes great and perfect proportions. In addition to this, the prices are great, I would say that the pricing for what they do is definitely worth the visit! From order to eat, even when busy, they are very quick with getting food out to multiple tables. Will be returning and I advise you to give it a go too! 5 Stars.

A nice place with great decor and a cool ambience. Party of seven order and served hot, tasty food I'm under 25 minutes. Good quality and presentation even when only ordering from the light bites. Reasonably priced and polite, attentative staff...well worth a visit and walking distance from Derby station and the football ground!

The food here is very tasty. I had the pork belly - scrumptious and the banoffee pie - (although not in a pie form) absolutely delicious! The staff are very friendly and restaurant has a nice atmosphere. A few people were obviously celebrating birthdays and the staff brought out flaming candles on desserts for them, which was a nice touch.

Nice and posh restaurant with great varied menu. The bar is very relaxing. The entire vibe is just perfect for an affordable yet posh meal out. My dad and his company frequently book events here and I had heard a lot about this place. I celebrated my mom's birthday and daughter's day here and among the 4 in our family, we tried out almost all the dishes and puddings they have to offer. The taste is great and food is freshly served. Serving sizes are not too big nor too small (I would say appropriate for a light meal). The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Slightly expensive prices can be explained by the aesthetic vibes of the dining hall. Definitely recommend it and can't wait to get back here!!

Overall an excellent meal. Service was friendly and efficient. Interactions were brief and to the point. Which is understandable given the need for minimal contact in the current pandemic. Starter was light and full of flavour. I had the salmon. The main was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Braised beef. We went for the dessert and it was worth it.

I have yet to experience a visit to Seven that hasn’t exceeded expectations in multiple ways. Our meals were excellent, consistent with previous visits - this is something that one can have faith in with this restaurant. On this occasion we had the absolute pleasure of being tended to by Emily, who was so very friendly, patient and engaging. Emily, along with several other waiting staff, went above and beyond to make our experience as special as it was, ensuring that an allergy within the group was well-considered and accommodated for. A massive credit to Emily, and all of Seven, for a consistently stellar experience.

First off, I have to say that the service was all round great here, it was faultless and our host was very attentive of us while we dined. I ordered the Slow Cooked Pork Medallions and was left disappointed by the lack of advertised crackling and only three meagre pieces of pork. While everything tasted great, I felt that the meal itself didn't constitute the £15.50 price tag and might have done had the meat been a less sparsley rationed commodity. I basically paid that price for a bit of pork and a lot of reheated potatoes. I'll give this place another go at some point in the future and update the review once I have should things change, but this experience has somewhat soured my opinion.

Attended Seven, early Saturday evening on the 2nd April for a retirement function upstairs. The staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. The meal was delicious and great value. A really enjoyable occasion. Highly recommended.

The service was very poor. I was asked for my drink order, I requested coffee. I received the pastries, then pancakes, still no coffee. Then offered champagne, still no coffee so requested for 3rd time, only tea came so i had that. After our meal I again requested a coffee, I received it but not the milk, after asking 3 different people I received my milk but the coffee was now cold. They seem to have too many people booked in to manage this simple, service, not impressed

Lovely, polite, friendly staff.. ordered the beer battered fish an chips with the sweet mushy peas, everything was OK cooked nicely, only thing I could say was some of the food was really oily... but I would definitely go again.

Had a table booked for 9, with each diner having made menu selections weeks in advance. On arrival we were grateful for the air conditioning; our booking being on the hottest day of 2022 so far (Fri 17th June). We were very disappointed our main courses were served without us being given our starters - so we had to cancel our starters as our mains were served - and the positive beginning to our evening began to fall away at this point. Various mistakes in service began to errode the enjoyment of our evening - from incorrect drink orders being brought to or table, to coffee being ordered and not being served. The food was okay, no complaints there, but it was expensive while being rather mediocre. Nice surroundings, but for the price, the poor quality of service very much let down the whole experience.

Family get together - pre-ordered our meals and paid a deposit as requested. Lovely atmosphere and the aircon was welcome on a very hot evening. Staff very helpful, pleasant and friendly, our mains were brought out, at which point 2 of pur party hadn't yet received their starters - staff apologized and we said we'd carry on without them and not to worry - they were taken off the bill - all our food was well presented, hot and very nice. Highly recommend Seven, we will be coming back soon.

So I've been this morning for a champagne breakfast with a group of people.We pre ordered everything beforehand. I didn't get my first course till everyone else had about finished which I thought was quite bad but then my full English they had completely forgot about so didn't get that till everyone else had finished so there was only me eating.Not what you expect when it's all been pretty ordered.

Fantastic place with some great food and also some space to meet and hold larger meetings if your office is not big enough or no meeting rooms are available. Been here twice (once for breakfast and once for lunch) and whilst the service during breakfast wasn’t that great and quite slow the service during lunch time was much better and everything seemed better organised. In both instances though the food was excellent. There is parking available as well.

Was served by two waiters, Dave and another fellow who's name unfortunately escapes me. I went with a friend for the Champagne Breakfast just before Christmas. Such good value for money. I loved the variety of choice and everything we ate was delicious. I’d definitely recommend the full English breakfast 🥰 staff are very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to visit again!

I'm not local to Derby, but when I'm about, this is my preferred restaurant. The food is modern pub grub, this may sound less appealing than I mean it to sound. All the food I've ordered here has been delicious.

Came yesterday for a little Christmas work meal with my friend, the food was lovely & great choice, however the service was a let down, we were clearly forgotten. Our dirty plates had been on our table for a good 40 mins, no one checked up on us and it wasn’t even busy, yet all the staff were gathering around having a birthday song for their staff member? They forgot one of our drinks too. We were there for a good 3 hours and due to no fault of their own for this lengthy visit. Maybe next time look busy and don’t forget about your customers, very slow and poor service.

Beautuful food, well presented and staff helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we felt very rushed. No sooner had we had first course, the plates were removed the main came out then same for desert there was no time in-between to digest. Surroundings lovely but due to being so open it did get a bit loud. On the whole lovely experience just a few personal bugs about how loud it was in there and the speed of the food coming out.

Excellent food everytime, however lunch time quick bites could do with being a little quicker. Not a criticism, as we love Seven, the staff and the food. Updated: 25/04/2021 We returned to Seven after many months of lockdown, booking a table online. Having arrived, we were given menus and the process explained. Due to not eating out for almost 6 months, we went a little crazy and had starter, main and dessert. Starters; I had the goats cheese beetroot salad and my wife had the duck spring rolls. Both amazing! Main Course; my wife had the braised beef, she said it could have being cooked for a little longer but was tasty. I had the chicken club sandwich with fries, no complaints from me. Dessert; my wife had the lemon tart, she loved it. I had the cheese board. I felt a little disappointed with mine, small quantities of cheese and what felt like jacobs crackers. Grapes feeling a little sorry for themselves. Overall, Seven have done a great job of adapting their outside space for diners. Strict 2 hour table hogging is enforced and a full menu, unlike other venues we have seen online. Staff were lovely. Top marks!

Very nice restaurant with good food. It presents as a very elegant place even at lunchtime, the rooms are nicely decorated and the overall look of the place is modern. Service at the table is within normal waiting time even if at the time of visit the restaurant was full and busy. Good selection of cocktails and food. Lots of business people seem to enjoy it as it offer space even for business meetings. I would suggest to book in advance because it can be busy during peak hours.

Great experience from start to finish. Made a telephone reservation over the phone for a table for four. The chap who took the booking was called MK and was very accommodating over the phone, I explained we were visiting the restaurant as it was recommended to us by friends. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by MK and he remembered our telephone conversation. The service from him was amazing all throughout the night alongside another waitress who attended to our table, she to was equally great in her role. The food was also very nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice. All this together made it an enjoyable evening for my family. Thanks to you both you are a credit to the restaurant.

Our first time here but hopefully not the last. We were here for lunch; my Chicken Caesar Salad was probably the nicest I've ever had, and my husband was very pleased with his vegetarian Tagine. I even pushed the boat out with an Amaretto Sour aperitif when our companion's arrival was delayed. Very nice! At times it was a challenge to catch a waiter's eye, which explains only 4 stars.

Absolutely beautiful - I came today with my friend who has a wheelchair, excellent disabled access and facilities - staff were brilliant funny and professional, now, the food - absolute heaven, my disabled friend had steamed Singapore prawn dumplings I had roasted goats cheese - perfection! for mains She had fillet steak and I had grilled halloumi - we tasted each others and loved it then I was a complete fatty and had steamed treacle pudding - gorgeous absolutely lovely, I'm now snoozing on the sofa in utter contentment ... Thank you Seven Restaurant, you are all stars! Its lovely to be back ....

This restaurant gets a rare 5 Stars from me! This was my first visit to Derby and I had researched restaurants in advance. Reviews of Seven were all excellent and as it was close to where we were staying we made a reservation. Nothing disappointed. We had a warm, friendly welcome and Covid-19 requirements were pretty much in place. The restaurant was busy. Our server, Joel, was excellent and made some recommendations. We had a sharing platter as a starter and it was really good. We then both went for fish dishes (different ones). These were really tasty. All in all a great night.

We was the takeaway menu (covid restrictions) and whilst the offer is fairly limited the food was excellent. The steak & ale pie was fantastic, others had the cheese & onion pie and half chicken option. We were all very impressed. The complimentary brownies were delicious.

I came for my sisters birthday and had a lovely time. The service was friendly, professional and efficient. Some lovely foods here, tender, succulent and flavoursome right across the menu. I took advantage of the early 2 course deal so was good value. I was served by a most smart and attentive member of staff. The restaurant is modern, spacious and has a relaxing ambience. 4 stars because I like a latte too hot to have to drink straight away. I had the cod and it was delicious! It came with a chorizo stew and vegetables which set it off beautifully. The service was good and fairly quick. It's a lovely blend of restaurant and bar so you could easily pop in just for a couple of drinks if you prefer but the food is definitely worth a try if you are in the mood to eat. It's a more upmarket decor so you can dress up a little to come here. There is parking available outside the restaurant as well which is really convenient. Would definitely recommend.

Not an amazing restaurant but wouldn't call it terrible either. Had to wait about 45 minutes for our meal and had quite a large rowdy table next to us. The chef also forgot to pour the champagne sauce on my meal which I noticed half way through the meal. I thought I'd get that taken off the menu but that didn't happen. So not a read experience but wouldn't wouldn't say it was terrible. That said I don't think I will be going back soon!

Amazing tasteful dishes and nice service. We had the two courses menu, which is really in good price. We tried the honey glazed pork medallions with apples and Dijon mustard, the burger and the 10 hour slow cooked beef. From starters we had the duck spring rolls and the steamed dumplings. And for dessert we had the sundea and the lemon tart. I totally recommend everything. They were amazing!!!!

Hmm - I really wanted to love Seven having heard great things, but only liked it. The space was great and I'm sure the experience was helped by the restaurant only being 25% full. Our server was fantastic but the food... Okay but not perfect. Starter of squid delivered very quickly but needed a bit longer to crisp up, minute steak tasty but not rested (lost a lot of liquid as I ate) and was cooked right through rather than pink as promised. Dessert perfect though, and fixed price menu very reasonable (excellent wine list was a little overpriced). A bit more attention would make this a 5 star review and I'll definitely give them another go.

We like to go here for a drink after work on a Friday evening sometimes as it's close to Derby Station and there is free parking, and also the bar has quite a nice atmosphere. Staff tend to ask if you are dining with them even if you've only gone in for a drink and are standing/sitting in the bar area. The restaurant used to be really busy when it first opened, but less so now. We have eaten there in the past but I got bored of the very limited vegetarian menu and found it was a bit over priced too so we tend to have one drink here (wine is rather pricey at £7+ per glass!) and eat elsewhere.

Service slow, and excuses made about a big party that had booked in. Personally speaking, Seven have got ideas above their station. It's, all very well being trendy and 'cosmopolitan' but if you don't come up to their expectations you get treated like a second class citizen. Only go if you have obvious wealth.
