Not much you can say about it negatively. Good location, staff were friendly, decent smoking area, not much of a wait and drinks were decently priced compared to other places nearby. I guess the only downside is that it isn't that large of an establishment, tables can get taken up quickly. So booking ahead or getting the seats you want early is best, especially on the busy days.

Went in with my girlfriend and the atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed. The staff were polite and friendly, special mention to Phoebe Smith, who were amazing at their job and made the best cocktails for us. Would definitely visit

Favourite pub since I was 15. Different management now, several times, I'm now 41, but still a welcoming place with a huge range of people in all getting on. Preferred the dark look, but I guess it has to change with the tines.

Consistently good staff, friendly regulars, and value for money wine. Lager is often flat, outside area is minimal, and there seems to be a regular problem with flies. Too expensive for what it is, but a nice place for a pint. A local atmosphere in the city centre.

Nice and stylish modern bar a short walk from Derby centre. Geared towards the younger urban crowd, naturally you'll find the beer selection (except fizzy lagers) to be rather undistinguished, but they *do* have three hand pumps for real ales, of which I tackled the "Dirty Tackle", which was quite nice. Not overly loud on an early Saturday evening, with friendly barmen. Quite comfy place, too. Dropped by en route to the popular micro Pub The Last Post, and didn't regret it. Decent, clean gents loo, too. ;)

It's a great place for a casual drink, I've found it can be accommodating for larger groups but is overall a small venue. Great prices and the selection is average. Not as up market as some of the choices near by.

Nice place for a chilled out drink,it's had a facelift since i was last in(a very long time ago) and i was pleased to see they now do cocktails.The outside are is small but nice,the only suggestion i'd make for outside is that there are a few rattan sofas at the back end which have seen better days and the tables with them are far too high so maybe just replace the sofas with the same chairs they have in the rest of the yard or get some cushions for the sofas and get 2 lower tables!

It's alright here. It's a compromise pub, one of those places that no one dislikes so you'll often end up there if the group can't decide where to go. The opposite of marmite.
