A recently refurbished flagship pub of the Ember Inns chain. As you would expect the food is good and reasonably priced. Good range of ales and drinks. This place is very large and able to accommodate a good many people.

The seating is well spaced out and the staff cleaned the tables between customers. The service was excellent even though the staff were busy. The food exceeded our expectations, in freshness, taste and quality. My husband and I would definitely recommend the sandwiches, tuna and cucumber and the ham, cheese and pickle. The floater coffee was lovely and apparently the lager was the best my husband had tasted in a long time! We hope to go again soon to try the hot food and dessert menu.

Couldn’t complain at all. Every member of staff was pleasant and welcoming when speaking to customers. The pub was busy and the staff didn’t stop at all, worked as hard as they could. In addition to this the food was extremely nice and everyone on my table enjoyed theirs also.

Went to the broadway yesterday first to see makeover which looks good. Then decided to have something to eat so we had a mixed grill it was massive. steak was cooked to perfection. You got big piece of chicken gammon to 2 pork sausage 2 eggs mushrooms tomato peas and a bowl of chip's I had it with beef dripping gravy it is to die for I could drink it buy bucket load . Go with a good appetite I couldn't finish it and I'm a big lad. If you do go check out the pies as well.will be back.

Decided to take advantage of the offer of 50% off main meals and to check out the new menu, I was not disappointed. The food was lovely, hubby had the mixed grill and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection, I had the shroom halloumi burger which I can definitely recommend. Excellent service with nice friendly staff.

Ordered duo of meat Sunday lunch via Uber eats to Mackworth and it was delicious! Sirloin beef well done, but succulent, as was the roast turkey breast. Gravy was delicious, it looked home made. Baby carrots and green beans just right. 3 pigs in blankets and potatoes roasted to perfection, with a lovely darkish coating on the potatoes. Delivered hot, well packaged and re-usable containers. I will definitely be ordering again.

Food was OK. Nachos were amazing though. Carbonara wasn't very nice. Didn't bring a glass out with my kopparberg or cutlery. Also forgot to bring out mayonnaise. Dog friendly apparently but no signs at all where your allowed to sit and then got asked to move which was OK. But for the some else to come and tell us off for going through the main entrance. I was very disappointed and I won't be returning.

This is a lovely family pub. It has modern vibes and serves normal pub drinks and pub food at reasonable prices. The outdoor seating at the back would benefit from being revamped into a modern pub back garden.

Nice place, pleasant staff, food ok. A bit pricey food, but only average at best. Seasoned fries were just ordinary chips with salt on!!! Fried eggs on gammon were hard, dry n overcooked. Rump steak wasn't the best. Overall it was ok'ish.

Just had a fantastic lunch ,the salt and pepper calamari starter was absolutely amazing really crisp batter yet so soft squid not rubbery at all , the mixed grill was amazing and a huge plate to boot ...( If ordering I highly recommend the beef dripping sauce.... superb) The grilled sea bass was superb as was the shroom halloumi burger and the posh fish and chips were amazing too 4 people for lunch and very very reasonable....will definitely be back , highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Visited today with friends after a 9 mile walk, decided to have food , we think that we were given childrens portions. Very dry chilli con carne with a few tortilla chips and a portion of Luke warm rice. At best it was average, typical not so cheap pub food .will not be rushing back .

Can't fault this place at all. 2nd time for the 3 for £10.29 lunch menu. Brilliant value for money & consistent quality (this being our 2nd visit) All the staff are very nice & seem happy in their work. Inside is roomy but warm with the fires going. Amazing pub. Came in without knowing much about the place. I was in area and really wanted a drink and food so decided to try this place. I was very happy with my experience. It has great seating area in front of the pub. Service is amazing. They care about their customers a lot. Also while sitting and enjoying your drink or food (which was very delicious) you can also enjoy watching motorcycles passing by the pub.

This is a lovely relaxed pub with very helpful and accessible staff, who are happy to share a joke with you. I am pleased to say the food was excellent 🥳. Good wheelchair access but the toilets are upstairs. Very good place to eat drink and relax. I commend them☺️

Top marks to The Broadway. After I did the necessary Covid check in I selected my pint with the barmaid at the bar and proceeded to sit outside in the sunshine. She came outside 5 mins later and said she was sorry but she forgot to order my pint. It was busy so not a problem. Pint on the house I was told. What a really nice gesture. So very impressed. Five stars folks. Great pub with a super friendly atmosphere.

Nice and roomy and decorated to a nice modern taste. The 'posh' fish and chips (battered sea bass) that I had was a tasty different take on an otherwise familiar dish. They also had a decent selection of real ales. I have not been there for a while and it was a nice welcome return. Will most likely be returning in the future.

Not a bad place, although there was a smell of pee as we approached the bar, maybe coming from the upstairs toilets but the odour decreased as we went further along the bar..... Meal was excellent, well prepared and presented and tasty. Pudding was excellent, had sticky toffee pud with custard, again well presented and great to eat. Had a beer (pedigree) which was good and the memsahib had a pot of tea again all good. The general appearance of the place was quite good but is beginning to show signs of everyday wear in certain places, mainly where seats have touched the wall etc. A cheery open fire between the rooms in the main dining area made it feel warm and homely.

Booked a Christmas meal for 24 people December 2019. The food choice was great and appealed to all appetites. The food served was excellent. Every meal eaten and enjoyed. Service was brilliant. We took 23 guests to the Broadway to celebrate our son's 50th birthday. We had a nice young man mainly look after us who was welcoming and organised. The atmosphere was relaxed. Everybody was pleased with the food which I think was of a good standard. I had emailed the food choices the day before. One food choice was for a gluten food choice. Unfortunately the person who ordered this discovered it was not totally gluten free so ordered something else. This was promptly changed so no problem. We often pop up to Broadway, with friends/family or on our own, as do not live far from there and generally have always been pleased. Thank you.

The Broadway pub from my distant memory used to be quite dated and tired looking. My trip today was surprisingly pleasant. We had pre booked and for Sunday lunch and one of our group was in a wheel chair. We were seated right next to the disabled toilet and were given the key which was very helpful. We did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive and it was of an OK standard and a reasonable size for the price we paid. The staff were quite attentive. Clearing our table and bringing out desserts. Overall a good pub, good staff, nice decor inside. Would defo recommend to others for a Sunday dinner visit for a budget price.

The Broadway is a solid, stylish traditional pub & restaurant a little outside of Derby (Duffield) which may provide a good stop on a pub crawl between Derby and Belper - the building is nice, the staff are nice, and the interior is nice. There's a range of real ales available on hand pumps, but, truth be told, it won't blow your mind. The Broadway seems to be more of a family-friendly place for lunch or dinner, providing solid pub food. As such, it's recommendable. The buses from Derby stop right outside.

A few years ago this pub got a new landlady who has transformed it into a place people actually want to visit. Drinks are reasonable as is the food. A fair amount of parking and good outside seating. The pub is also close to Darley Park which is nice to walk around after a bev.
