Called in this evening for dinner. We both had the pie,s mash and peas with gravy, I had steak and Stilton the wife had turkey with stuffing and we both agreed they were fantastic in every way. The Tiger bitter was also a very good drink. Thanks to Alan, April and all the staff we will be back to try the chilli

Great little pub! We went for a Saturday, the owner found us a place to sit even when it looks full. We enjoyed our evening with the entertainment which that night was some great vocals from derby school of music. The staff were great and the entertainment was first class my only pitiful would be the car park. Steep and small makes for teeth biting maneuvers. But there is plenty of room on the roads outside the pub if you like me and don't mind a minute or two walk in. Try it out! Especially on a Saturday as I'm told they always have great entertainment. We would both go back and bring family and friends.

Beautifully decorated throughout, and garden is fabulous on these summer nights. Toilets and all bar areas are exceptionally clean. Food is delicious, and most definitely good value for money. The new owners and staff are lovely, polite and so accommodating.

Had been meaning to go here for a while since the new people took over. After hitting abysmal service and long waiting times at the Nag's Head we came here. Felt welcome immediately. Great choice of ales. Good little menu. Game of snooker started whilst the food was being prepared. Was very impressed with the sparkiling cleanliness of the place - brightly polished brass on the doors - a good sign. Nicely presented food and attentive team.

As far as local pubs can go, this has to be up there. I read the reviews on here before going and was slightly concerned although they did seem to mainly refer to a previous landlord. I met some friends there last Tuesday and found the place to be clean, open and inviting. We were greeted on arrival by the bar staff who seemed nice enough. It made me think the bad reviews were for a generation passed. Tuesday night, it turns out is quiz night and the place soon filled up with locals aiming to test their general knowledge with friends over a beer. At only 50p per person, the quiz was a steal so we decidded to hang around for it and we are glad we did. Half way through the quiz, complimentary chip cobs were offered to everyone! We were not expecting that, but it was a very welcome treat ideed! To sum it up, the place is nice, the staff are friendly, the beer is good and well priced, and based on the chip cobs alone, the food is nice too. We will be going back for sure, comprende?

Came from Nottingham to see Ricky and the Retros lovely pub easy parking superb range of real beers especially Plum Porter.would be nice to have flooring in front of the group for dancing instead of carpet. However a good night had by all.To sum it up a lovely pub.

We had a party for our 16th birthday. The buffett was fantastic that was made and there was plenty of food. I would like to thank Chelle and her staff for making everyone feel welcome. I would definitely recommend the honeycomb to anyone who wanted to have a party there.
