T. M.Fairly typical, traditional community boozer (And that's not a bad thing) a little off the beaten track in Derby, with four real ale hand pumps available. Relaxed atmosphere among an older crowd, friendly and competent staff. Certainly not an "essential" stop on a Derby pub crawl - this town has so many fine real ale establishments to offer! But also not a bad option when other places are too crowded on a Saturday night.
G. M.Good solid pub. I like to go here to watch pay per view boxing. They always show it and you can usually get a seat with a decent view of a screen. Throw in some boisterous locals, a lively group of friends and too much of the guest ale - you've got yourself a decent atmosphere.
P. W.Old fashion boozer. Friendly staff, fantastic beer, no frills. Not a food centred pub, but can get hot./cold food made to order. So if your anything like me, a pint and a cheese and onion cob! Fantastic.
