b. h.This is a well deserved title, best pub in fife winner and previous best in Scotland, high contenders for the best in the UK, to which i certainly give my vote. The food was incredible, they have some of the best selection of ales also featuring "inveralomnd brewery".
You must give this pub a visit if you are traveling to fife or like me are a local and had no idea it was here, a true local gem for me.
M. E.I've been going to this pub for years since about 1993 (although not for every year...) and have just been back in for the 1st time in about 4 years and it's in about the best nick I've seen in the last 6 or 7 years.
Good staff, good beer, great selection and clean and tidy surroundings. Well worth a visit if you're looking for a decent atmosphere not driven by loud music.
Definitely suits older clientele...which is me!

L. A.I have been a regular at this pub for a number of years. Last week I took my family there to celebrate one of our parties birthday. The staff were really accommodating when I asked them if they would bring out a cake once we had our meals. As always, the food was excellent pub grub - with some interesting specials if you fancy something different. To wash it down, there is a great selection of booze - including there CAMRA award winning selection of ales and beers.
A special mention to the staff who absolutely make the Commercial. They are always kind, funny and good at what they do. On this occasion, even more so than others, they really helped make the day special.
J. W.Heard good things about this place being CAMRA's pub of the year. Enjoyed a good guest beer here and sampled some of the food. Food was fine but felt portion size was small for the price. Good atmosphere and location, I would go back again in future.
H. M.Went in here a few times before Covid, and the atmosphere was always good and the people friendly. The only thing that used to let it down was the toilets, they were so old and frankly not that clean. Went in last week and I was pleasantly surprised, the bar was spotless and the toilets had been renewed, what a difference, will certainly be back now. Also the girl behind the bar couldn't have been nicer.
