Reviews of BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh Bar & Terrace

A really cool atmosphere: it's comfortable and family-friendly. The drinks are also super delicious and creative. I ordered a Hazy Jane IPA then the pineapple punch, and both were delicious. I also ordered the salad, which was able to be turned into a sandwich. Def recommend!

This place was great all the way through!
We came for lunch but it was packed so we decided to come back for an early dinner instead.
We were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome.
The drinks are delicious. I got the hazy Jane ipa, and the hazy guava ipa. Both were very flavorful so I got a few cans to go. We also got a cider which was delicious.
For dinner, we ordered the Buffalo cauliflower which was very tasty and the heritage tomato side salad, with the Chilli chicken salad with fries on the side.
The cauliflower was very good, perfectly crispy with great flavor and a nice touch for a starter.
Both salads were very well done with great flavor in the dressings and the chicken was well cooked. We loved it.
In my pictures we had accidentally already started eating but all dishes were presented well.
The server was very nice, my only thing was that maybe they could have been slightly more attentive towards the end, I had to go ask for the check. Other than that, we loved this place and will be back.

Brilliant bar with a cracking ambiance. Staff were good, roof terrace was a perfect sun trap for an afternoon beer. Loads of brewdog beers to choose from and you can even sample them for free to help you choose what to have.

I didn't stay here, but I visited the bar. Everyone is so friendly, and the beer is fantastic! You can even taste a few before you pick one. A definite must visit!

An absolute treat, the room was great. Staff were lush and made a proper fuss of our dog Stan. Quirky and fun hotel.

We were really impressed with this hotel. Room was great, we had a suite, bedroom was on a mezzanine floor, downstairs had a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave sink etc. Bathroom was big and also had a shower beer fridge that you can pay to get stocked with Brewdog beer (£25) bit of a novelty but my husband liked it. Record player with some records and a guitar. Lots of wee extras... free coffee and pick n mix for the kids in the lounge area and a free beer on arrival too! Breakfast was really good as well. Would definitely go back.

What a brilliant place, great service, amazing drink and fantastic food. All wrapped up in comfy contemporary surroundings. Highly recommend!

BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh is a great place for drinks albeit a bit pricey. Good selection of beers that you won't find in your average watering hole. We had burgers and some regular and sweet potato fries too. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. Very friendly staff is a great plus.
They have hotel rooms too and at the time we were there a lot of people was checking in, so I assume is quite popular. One thing I noticed the check in time is a bit on the long side (would be frustrating if I had to wait that long).

Excellent service and atmosphere, room was fantastic, great being able to play vinyl records in the room,

First time at the new doghouse bar /hotel it’s super cool and retro and I’m a fan of brewdog anyway and ended up booking for birthday to stay

New location which opened in 2021. Locates off the royal mile and very convenient location in old city. Amazing beers and even some options in beer and soda for non alcoholic. Food options were pretty interesting as well. Great location and really nicely done inside. Beer galore

TLDR; Wow!!
This place is amazing, starting with the fantastic and welcoming staff.
The room and the hotel were absolutely PERFECT. there's a personal touch in every single corner, starting with beer fridge in the shower (!!!) and through little lights going on when you going in the bathroom early morning.
This is a must-have hotel if you're in Edinburgh

Had a lovely brunch meal here. Full breakfast. Very tasty and filling. The place was really busy, but we had booked a table. Very attentive staff, always asking if you wanted anything else
F. L.
The vibe was good!! They've a good range of beers to choose from. The terrace seemed quite chill -we didn't try last time but maybe next time, we'll sit there and enjoy some good beers.

Only second visit and impressed again. Food was hot, tasty, pretty quick and decent value with the Itison voucher my Dad and I had. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the beers on offer. We even had some live music. Great Thursday. Thanks a lot.

Nice new pub / restaurant if you don't object to the recent BrewDog company management ethos. Modern menu with friendly staff. Good choice of beers and glasses, although many of BrewDog ales are of higher ABV and may not be draught on a particular day. It's near the station and next door to a Premier Inn. I guess the prices must be the current Edinburgh norms?
A. M.
Came here for brunch, food was amazing! Beers were amazing! I particularly like that you can have free tasters before ordering the beers and the menu is really nice
B. T.
Amazing, just everything about this place was amazing. The staff couldn't be any more friendly or helpful. Stayed in the hotel and it was more than I had imagined. You get a message via WhatsApp on your phone upon check in and through out the stay if you require anything at all you just need message. We even got the beer school and Phannin was just amazing. She made us all feel at ease and even was able to teach us old dogs some new tricks 😜 Thanks again to all at the Doghouse
M. R.

Super friendly and excellent food!
We were really excited to visit Brewdog Edinburgh New Street and we weren't disappointed. Food was so tasty, service was excellent and the beer was first class! Thank you!!

Really lush and comfortable design, good beers obviously, but also caring and thoughtful staff. Came for a snack with our little daughter and got well looked after!

Everything about this place was amazing from the food, staff and the hotel itself. I live in Edinburgh and just wanted a night away. We paid for the top dog package that included a 60 min beer school of the background to making brewdog which lasted longer than the 60 min and was very educational (Big thank you to Phannin who was amazing and made the night unforgettable) to top it of the terrace with fire pit and drinks was unbelievable.
K. G.
An incredibly fun spot to enjoy beautiful brewdog beers as well as try some wonderful food - the temple of seitan wings are THE BEST as well as the vegan breakfast! The hotel looked beautiful too, in true brewdog style!
G. F.
Booked a two night stay for my birthday and this place more than delivered. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive staff. Comfortable spacious room with all you could need (dressing gown, hot water bottle, travel mug, dyson fan, beer tap) with ace brewdog themed decor and real plants. Private chill space for guests with games and comfy sofas and quiet bar. Dog friendly, met a couple of new friends. Free picknmix, coffee & 24hour hotdogs. Love the carbon neutral concept, reuse your towels for free beer tokens, the more beer you drink the more trees are planted!! Highlight : shower beers!! Worth the price - treat yo self!
S. C.
The staff were amazingly attentive. Someone would be over to the table every 40 or so minutes to ask of we want anything else. Downside...the app is really bad for ordering drinks. Super complicated UX and didn't mention when out of stock of an item so we got a few alternatives after ordering.

We booked in for an overnight through in Edinburgh and has a phenomenal time - the room (Elvis Juice) was fantastic, clean with all the amenities we needed and more (we didn't realise the rooms were apartment style and had a small kitchen). TV downstairs and upstairs was a nice touch, as well as the vinyl player & selection of records as background music. Part of our booking included a free drink on arrival (where we tried a few of the beers before settling on a pint) and dinner which I can say I was chuffed with the size of the portions & of course the flavour as a big eater. Breakfast too was nice, and we had other activities planned so never got to fully utilise the in-room additional beer options. The 24-hour hotdogs however are amazing, and so are the staff - everyone from the gentleman on overnight and the team on reception were constantly a help if needed. Superb location, whatever your plans are. We'll for sure be back to the Brewdog hotels after this experience, hopefully in summer to better use the bar terrace

Really nice atmosphere, food selection of beer. Mixers and cocktails are on the more expensive side byt thats just how Edinburgh is

Can’t say enough great things about the Doghouse. I was impressed from start to finish. Dead pony suite was amazing and spacious, service was excellent, amenities, etc just absolutely better than I would have ever expected.
J. S.
Relaxed roof terrace. Great venue
S. G.
Great food and drink selection. Went with family with young child, high chair provided with booth for the family. Excellent.
S. M.
Deserted, only two in bar on a Wednesday night at 10pm. More staff than customers.
Very expensive also at £6:10 for pint of lager
L. B.
Outdoor space really good. Staff excellent. Plant based food really tasty..coming from a Carnivore!
L. E.
Nice beer. The 10% isn’t beer though so wouldn’t advise! Tasted more like a wine. Disappointed
G. T.
A lovely bar with a gorgeous rooftop terrace area which I'm looking forward to sitting when the weather gets better! Awesome selection of craft beers, as usual
M. P.
