Cozy atmosphere. Microbrews from Aberdeen. Good advise about the beer selection. Solid portion of burger and sandwich. Couldn’t actually tell the difference size wise. Very rich and tasty in both pulled pork sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich and pork burger.

Great craft bar right in the city centre. Obviously they have plenty of Fierce on tap, as well as a changing selection of other guest beers. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and all in all worth a visit if you like craft beers.

What a wonderful spot! So many great beers on tap, really impressed with their quality and diversity. But just as good (and perhaps even better) was the burger (I got the westworld with double patties, cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and onion ring) which was amazing and the chip portion was very generous (and they've got a heap of interesting sauce options like katsu mayo) Loved it!!!

Fantastic beers, staff are always welcoming and helpful with menu choices. I love strong dark beers and they've always got some on tap and some cans in the fridge for takeout too! The soul food kitchen is fantastic as well... Beer fondue and wedges was delicious! As is the 'dirty fries' - hot sauce and blue cheese is a fantastic combo! Very understanding of my rescue puppy too, who got water and treats! Will definitely be back soon

Great keg range, hazy IPA is a lovely fruity New England style beer. Would be nice to see them do some cask but the beer & a whisky boilermaker is a nice idea (& reasonably priced).

Extensive range of craft beers including strong beers and sours served in a range of sizes. Friendly, helpful staff and outdoor seating that is often sunny in summer make this the best craft ale pub in the city centre. Always worth a visit 👍

Easily one of my favourite pubs in Edinburgh. We don’t get in as often as we’d like but there’s a few things that are always guaranteed. (1) Delicious beer. (2) Great service. (3) Excellent music playlists. And on the rare occasion we can get over on a day the kitchen is open, proper, dirty, comfort food. Highly recommended.

Tap style bar from the Scottish Fierce brewery. Noting fancy about this place but the beer is sensational. Big selection of beers on tap and a must for lovers of strong dark beer. Limited outdoor seating. The food is basic but its the beer is what they are about. Chill cabinets for a carry out with a stock of limited small batch canned ale. Not cheap but hey, where else you gonna get a 12% strong dark brew with a flavour that 'll knock yer socks off. If your not sure, ask the knowledgeable helpful bar staff who will guide you. Be warned though, last orders are at 10 and chuck out at strickly 10.30 at the time (Jul 21) of our visit, which is in line with Scottish national restrictions. Enjoy ;-)

Stopped off whilst walking down Rose street and glad we did. With Covid there were offering table service, the chap who seated us explained the various beers on offer which was great. The drinks were fantastic as was the overall vibe. Well worth a visit if you're in town 🍻

Fierce Beer taproom - the great brewery from Aberdeen that's ethical. Very good service, fantastic beers, including a great guest beer selection. Not touristy at all. A must visit for beer lovers.

I had the lovely elderflower cider and the Westworld Burger, all the main places in the city were booked out for lunch a week before my trip to Edinburgh, so chose Fierce Bar for it's nice looking burgers. The burger was fantastic, you could really taste the bourbon, with crunchy bacon bits and cheese. I rate the venue down on only providing a wooden fork, no knife, and promoting table service only for the time being, but having to go to the bar to request to pay the bill.

Exceptional beer bar in the heart of Edinburgh New Town. A great selection of their own beers, with some guest draught and cans. Their range is extensive so all beer lovers will do well. A broad range from their own Pilsner, to IPA, stouts, porters, and their own flavoured ones I.e. a Pina Colada Pale ale (amazing), Maple Pancake pale ale (decent), and some great pale ale variations, Late Shift and Split Shift are excellent. Plus a full range of spirits and wine. Excellent, friendly, efficient, knowledgable staff. All in all, brilliant.

Wow! I have a new favourite brewery! I had a great beery experience here today. A superb guest beer starter, then a Hazy IPA for the mid stretch, followed by Cafe Racer to speed me on my way. I'll be back in soon.

Excellent selection of Fierce beers, with something for everyone. I'm a fan of IPA myself and tried the Hazy IPA, Hop Squad, and Fierce by Nature (Brett IPA) and all were good. Followed up with a Moose Mousse stout (also excellent) and a very generous Donnie Darko chicken burger. So, despite a little confusion around our table booking, I'll definitely be visiting again in the near future. Thoroughly recommend if you like your craft beer and burgers.

Really nice bar. The food was great. There beer they had on was very good. So glad I went. The staff where helpful and nice to speak too. Only Downside for me. Was there wasn't really any guest beers.

My favourite gluten free beer (Hazy IPA my go to nowadays but love the Split Shift too) with friendly staff so definitely a great place to go. Unfortunately no gluten free option for food tho. hopefully they'll look at this in the long term. Still worthy of five stars!

Visited Fierce Edinburgh on their opening night. Love the decor and ties in nicely with the original bar in Aberdeen. Great atmosphere when we went (and returned a few months later). Not tried the food yet but it looks great! Their own range of fierce beers are brilliant and have turned a non beer drinker!

Great bar in a street full of bars. Excellent craft beer in a bright, fresh looking pub with music and friendly, capable staff. They can help you choose a brew which suits your taste. A full range of other drinks is also available. Food is good, too. Burgers, macaroni and fries with loads of options to add on as extras. It's very tasty and not expensive.

Fierce is a must if you're visiting Edinburgh, and if you live here and haven't been yet, change that ASAP. Their beer is fantastic, absolutely recommend Cranachan Killer and Moose Mousse (and they now have their own gin if beer isn't your tipple!) Staff are so happy to chat about beer, and they make you feel welcome. Food is also perfect with a pint, and their hot sauce is amazing!

Service was great in the Covid age. Attentive table service despite the member of staff being on their own & doing everything. Fierce beers are okay, would be nice to see some other breweries on offer. Awkward metal bar stools around a barrel (more suited for standing drinking) weren't great. At what point does a decent sized, successful business forgo the DIY, furniture 'found in a skip' aesthetic & balance that against customer being more comfortable? Maybe staying for a few more drinks?
