First time here. Great service & staff, drinks are great! Food was great too, a bit on the pricey side but its worth it for the portions sizes you get. Cant complain at all, will be back in the future.

Nice place, good food. Only complaint is there is only about half the menu available so limits your choices. We struggled a bit to find something that was on menu. But what we had was lovely. The staff are great, very helpful.

A nice relaxed restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The ambience is quite exciting and upbeat. The cocktails are just nice and the food is ok.. if you want to come enjoy the atmosphere and have a few drinks before the start of your night its a good place.. has some nice outside space to enjoy a glorious afternoon but I did not really enjoy the food all the times I have been here.. there is just that something lacking to make it amazing.. prices are reasonable for the center of town

Awesome venue and great atmosphere. We had a table of 12 and the staff were very attentive to catering to our needs. Food was amazing, my wife and I shared 5 small plates as part of their tapas time menu. Shredded Chipotle beef nachos Brazilian chicken Brazilian beach cheese (halloumi) Chicken quesadilla Copacobana cauliflower Would 100% return in the future. It is a top quality restaurant

A nice Latin American restaurant in Edinburgh's George Street. It has a small but varied menu including veggie options. It also has a small, interesting, choice of beers. I was with a group of 11 and we were all happy with our food. The service was nice and friendly.

We booked a table for my daughter's 23rd birthday and had a wonderful time, the food was delicious the atmosphere was great, the service could have been a little bit more attentive but was good in the main, we got a good selection of food and our server even accomodated our request to have the nachos served in 2 smaller portions due to my daughter being vegan, I ordered the habanero wings which I felt could have been hotter and the butter chicken burger which was really nice, and for desert I had the banana sticky toffee pudding which was delicious, over all we had a really good time and would definitely visit again ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a wonderful meal here (great vegetarian/vegan options)! The staff are fantastic… very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Relaxed atmosphere and great vibe. We booked before going as it’s a very popular restaurant and not always possible to get a table as a “walk in”… though the staff certainly try their best to accommodate you.

We came across Las Iguanas by chance while looking at the Christmas lights and ice rink on George Street so we called in for a Passionfruit Zombie. In the Yorkshire (England) restaurants cocktails are 2 for £10 so it was slightly disappointing this offer isn't available in Scotland, however I do love a Zombie and the staff were really welcoming and friendly so it was worth paying full prices for our drinks.

Waited over 20mins before our drinks order was taken and even longer for our food. Then when ordering we were told the frier was down which removed a lot from their tapas menu. Poor service from staff, who were not very attentive to customers. It maybe would have been acceptable if the place was busy but it was quiet. Food was lovely when it finally arrived but in my opinion, not worth the wait or the price.

Food for the adults was good on the whole. Kids food included reheated chips/fish fingers. Service was struggling a bit with our lunch order of 15 and we had to ask a few times for ketchup/condiments etc. Staff was polite enough but at 1hr:45 mins were asked to vacate, while the kids were yet to being their deserts. Would have been nice at the time of booking to have been told that or on entry or even 30mins before. Kids did get their ice-creams to takeway once we stood outside which was nice of the staff.

Booking for 17 ppl for my sisters 30th. I can’t not recommend the staff, the service and food enough. Firstly when dealing with my large booking they were so patient in me gathering deposits and pre orders for food. On the day of arrival I had still not managed to pay the deposit for various reasons and phoned the venue. I spoke to a female manager I believe who was extremely kind and put my mind at ease. Even offering our veggie of the group a bespoke meal as the one she had picked she had removed the bulk of the meal as she didn’t like the particular vegetable. I arrived at the venue early so I could decorate the table with balloons and banners and things. The table was already set up half an hour before hand l to allow me to do this. Nothing was to much trouble as we even asked for sellotape to place a few banners on the wall behind. The menu was checked over before the guest arrive with myself before the rest of the guest arrive who I must say was outstanding. Once everyone arrived our drink orders were taken quickly by our beautiful server. (I’m so annoyed I forgotten her name) and we were asked when we would like the food. Before the food arrive my sister was given a make your own cocktail board which was a lovely touch as myself and her have had a particular difficult year and only have each other and my brother now so it was a beautiful surprise. The service was outstanding. There were no shortage of our main server checking in on us for drinks and other servers also popping by to offer us drinks and clear drinks. The food arrived and everyone seemed to enjoy it even though some of our varied age group had never been to a Mexican as the tapas allowed for this. Also the churros went down a storm. At the end of the evening I brought a cake which was brought out by our wonderful server after our dinner was cleared and it was brilliant. I cannot not thank each and everyone of the team who made a difficult birthday due to cirscumstances something really special. I want to give a special shout out to our server as she was exceptional. As a manager in this industry it is a tough job and even tougher dealing with a huge group who even after been offered drinks said no decided to order when other peoples drinks arrived at the table. I want you to know I truely appreciate everything you did last night. Also to I think was the manager I spoke to on the phone yesterday morning who put my mind at ease on various things including some people pulling out. I also want to mention the chefs who most forget. The timing the food came out for such a large group was excellent and your food was lovely so thank you for working hard in extreme heat with a large group. Lastly to the other servers who pop in and out during the night to ensure we had everything we needed. I hope you share this post with you team as they are incredible. Thank you once again Ashley

The service is amazing. Loved their Nachos and raspberry cool drink. Quinoa salad had great ingredients but had too much of sauce. Vegetarian Quesadillas just had mushrooms and a bit too spicy. But overall a good place to eat. Had a nice time there.

You can tell they have been prepared and cooked at a high standard and the presentation of all dishes can not be faulted. Cocktail menu is amazing and cheap too! The food was incredible! We got the vegetarian options from Brazil and Cuba. Everything was perfect: the atmosphere and food. There were plenty of vegetarian options that could be made vegan which I loved. The desert chocolate coconut tart was also fantastic. The only downside was lack of rice. We had to order another portion.

I went there for the lunch. Place is very cosy and I believe it is more vivid around dinner time and night cocktail parties should be fun too. Myself and my partner visited here on Saturday afternoon for drinks and food. Upon arriving, everything seemed a bit rushed and chaotic. We had to wait 30 minutes for 2 drinks and didn't get water on table until our starter arrived. The food was beautiful and would recommend for the quality of the food, however the service was lacking. There was no real apologies for the drinks being delayed and no one asked how our meal was. Due to the poor service, I wouldn't return here anytime soon!

Such an amazing place! drinks were so good being the price they are and I had a veggie burger and it was perfect! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because we were sat outside and it started to rain there was a table available for about an hour that we could have but didn't get offered. Myself and my friend had the most amazing waitress Mallory. She was so polite and welcoming, checking on us the prefect amount of times and such an endearing personality. We had dinner for 6 people and found the food to be good enough, but nothing exceptional. It wasn't that busy, however at times the staff weren't as attentive as you would expect which meant we had to try a few times to attract their attention. The menu is extensive and there's nothing wrong with the food at all so this is not written in any form of complaint. If you're looking for authentic Mexican style food, it's not for you - Edinburgh has better choices for that - but if you're in the city centre and need a good choice then it'll tick the box.

The Caipirinha's were delicious but the overall experience was taken down by the Pina Colada. Honestly this thing had never seen a coconut in all its days. The liquid was weak and yellow in both directions, at least I got more froth from the urinal cake downstairs

I We were here in a big group, set menu was interesting and offered GF options. The staff were helpful but busy as it was a Saturday. I had a fish coconut curry style dish and it was a tasty change from the usual Mexican food. Go here if you need a big table!

This a nice place to eat friendly staff and good food. Also they cater really well with young children. The only downside was the service charge. It's put on for over five people which I understand but don't necessarily agree with. We had three chiĺdren under six and l would think that they shouldn't count. People have different views I know but just a thought.

Nice halal place and a variety of cuisines from South America. It is very close to Edinburgh Castle, just across the princess street. We did not find it to be very pricey, 2 adults and child with drinks for £32, child eating free. 3 *s for the level and speed of service. As a vegetarian, I was very pleased at the range of dishes and the fact they provide you with a separate vegetarian or gluten free menu on request. Cheap cocktails on week days and the staff were all very friendly, chatty and helpful. Maybe not the most authentic place for Mexican food as it is a chain but I enjoyed it and would return!

A decent selection of food from across Latin America, which was fresh and pretty tasty. We went on the opening weekend, so accept they may had some teething problems but the service wasn't great. The staff weren't very friendly nor particularly attentive; they had run out of the wine we wanted; and it was very cramped - both on the table itself, which was tight for four people with all the clutter they put on it, but also the tables were all very close together. Have had a good experience in the Glasgow branch, so will be willing to go back another time.

Dont take my word for it but if you do, go try their sultry 1/2 chicken or whole served with garlic mash potatoes or whatever else and then you'll understand. Had an early dinner here last week and managed to order off the lunch menu (which is served until 6.30pm!), so it turned out to be good value as we had two courses and a beer each, then shared a dessert for about £10 each. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly and given a variety of menus.. Lunch, dinner, drinks.. which was slightly overwhelming to be honest. Service the rest of the time we were there was just about the bare minimum. Our food was brought to the table, someone only came over if I managed to catch their eye. I had to ask for the second pot of sauce which should have come with the churros. On the whole, the food was good. Service could be a bit more friendly. Decor and atmosphere is fairly stock standard for a chain restaurant. Better experience than another chain restaurant serving similar food on Frederick Street, but would be hard pressed to say it was better than the other chain outlet on Queensferry Street. I'd happily go back but not in any rush to.

Food was delicious, had both a starter (can't remember what it was called) but was delicious, and the xinxim, again equally delicious. It's one of the few places I can get my favourite drink, Guarana Antarctica. Recommended this for anyone that goes there.

If you like Latin American food then this is the place for you. So much choice and some different options I hadn't seen before. Service was impeccable and couldn't speak highly enough of it as when we said we had a voucher deal that wasn't on their system they gave us it anyway and were very accommodating. Not so good points are that it was very crammed on a tiny table and right on top of other tables, however there was a massive area downstairs that was unused which could've made it more spaced out and made it more relaxed but the area wasn't utilised. Food was tasty but it looked like my partners beans and rice were microwaved but suppose that's what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. Loads of cocktail choice and different coffees and desserts on offer all at reasonable prices. All in all not too bad for a chain restaurant

I was able to have a delicious meal at 4:30 pm off the Lunch (and early evening) Menu, which is excellent value for money. Las Iguanas provides gluten free and vegetarian menus on request and has an excellent selection of both. I had pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) - gluten free little cheese dough balls with a delicious chipotle butter dip - and the veggie chilli which is filling and tasty with sweet potato, butternut squash, chick peas and served with spring onion rice, sour cream and pink pickled onion. Service really friendly and helpful. I sat at the window looking out on the sunset and the preparations for the Street of Light event, in this great location in the heart of the historic New Town.
