Locals are nice.
Bar staff not so good..
Got there about 2 in the afternoon alone only to hear a grumpy bar maid moaning to me about how she only has 2 hours left on her shift!
My phone was down to 20% asked the lady behind the bar that had glasses on if she could help with charge as i was staying in the local camp site and she took a quick look and said No cant help! a local came in an said they have many duel charges behind the bar! When I told her this she then looked Exactly where I was sat and hey like magic she had many! The other guy didn't even acknowledge me at all in the 3 hours I spent there.trying to spend money on alcohol in a pub is difficult! I spent most of my time trying to get a beer.

Quick pint while waiting on washing, friendly staff and clientele. Even a smoking area at the rear which would be nice in summer for a couple of quiet pints. Enjoyed it in the little Sun we had today, great proper pub

I have been coming this pub since 1966 with only one absence when l was in Canada 23 years. On my return, notwithstanding the change of ownership, the ambiance had never missed a beat.
It was 1992 and it was George snd Elaine in the hot seat. On my arrival through the back door Elaine had my preferred libations awaiting me on the bar.
Things have not changed with regard to the ambience, in spite of the passing of George. His daughter, Emma, stepped up to the plate, as they say in the baseball fraternity, and the pub has never been better.
There is a “regular” clientele and the “banter” contributes much to the comfortable “feel” of the bar, particularly when the music kicks in at around 4.00 pm.
Overall, a GREAT Local or, to quote one of the regulars, “NOT TOO SHABBY”.👍🍺🥃

Very much working persons pub, great atmosphere and beer! Staff are superb and landlady offers some lovely home made snacks at no extra cost. Reasonable prices, quaint little beer garden to the rear and regularly have fun events ie race nights, ladies night and karaoke. Also make a big deal of gala day every year. Lots for the whole family to do. They run a fishing club from here with outings and often have charity events on. There's a lovely log fire with help yourself books, jukebox with a song for everyone and the daily paper. Function suite available upstairs. Main door wheelchair friendly and located directly in front of the bus stop so easy to get home!! Tesco, greggs, bookies, take aways and rs molls just mins away from the pub so absolutely no reason not to visit the norhet.

Absolutely EXCELLENT BAR. THE STAFF ARE GREAT AND GREAT FUN TO CHATTER WITH, WHEN NOT BUSY, NOT VERY OFTEN. EVERYONE IS MADE TO FEEL WELCOME AND IF YOU JUST WANT A QUITE DRINK AND A READ OF YOUR BOOK/USE YOUR APPS, NO PROBS.
IF YOU WANT TO CATCH SOME SUN THE OUTSIDE SEATING IS GREAT, AND IT IS A BRILLIANT SUNTRAP! THE NORHET IS MY LOCAL BUT I AM NOT BEING BIASED - SO GIVE IT A TRY.
