Reviews of Teuchters Landing
L. C.
My favourite pub/hidden gem 💎 in Edinburgh!
This place has such an intimate feel, staff is on point and food is AMAZING 👏
I especially love their fish based dishes but also their meat and mac n cheese mugs are really tasty 😋
Everything tastes super fresh and nothing ever feels too greasy or underdone.
Last time I had a smoked kipper stew that was truly incredible!
Keep up the great work 🙏💫
S. C.
Absolutely loved this place. I was visiting from the US and it’s worth going to Leith for if you’re visiting Edinburgh. The staff are friendly and the only reason I’m docking a star is because they served me hot chocolate that was pretty much cold. However, they fixed it immediately and it was delicious. The star of the show is the Mac n cheese which is hearty, and the chili cheese dog was amazing. I’m from new york and we have a lot of hot dogs. This was sooo good. Highly recommend. Also, the cutest decor!!
S. D.
Pretty good veggie and vegan options! Ordering done through the app, so I wasn’t able to leave notes or make any alterations to my meal, but other than that was great
P. C.
Excellent selection of craft beers, whisky and wine. Great food menu focusing on seafood and bar bowls. Always hearty portions
J. g.
Food's quality above the average pubs' quality in Edinburgh . Sauce could be a bit more elaborate. Helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Happy to go back!
D. L.
Warm, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. Busy but still much better than the hustle and bustle in City centre. If you like a good huge breakfast then come back in the morning between 0915 and 1145.
K. O.
Popped in here before a meal at The Kitchin. Friendly place. Nice atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. Didn't eat but the food being served at other tables looked lovely! Will be back.
J. T.
Fun pub on canal. Nice friendly staff. Extensive delicious menu.
J. c.
Great place! We were warmly welcomed and offered a seat on the pontoon and as there was ‘Sunshine on Leith’ that day we accepted. Beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and on seeing other food dishes we ordered The mussels, scallops and chips. So tasty. Really enjoyed it visit to Teuchters Landing and will definitely be back on our next visit 🏴
V. P.
Everything was perfect. They offer fresh sea food from local fishmongers. I had a monkfish, salmon and red pepper skewers with creamed cider, apple, bacon, potato stew, delicious. Highly recommended for a sea food!
D.
Really lovely place on the water. Was worth the 35 min walk from Edinburgh centre for the Neeps & Tatties and Cullen Skink. Neither of which I'd tried before but absolutely converted me. Food was amazing and the staff were friendly and polite. Top notch! Great selection of drinks and if you like a bloody mary, they have a whole menu of them. Real wood fires too which were great after walking in the cold.
S. P.
Beautiful location, great outdoor seating, and excellent gluten free options! I ordered gluten free fish and chips which were delicious - and even some of my gluten-eating friends ordered gluten free meals and really enjoyed them. Highly recommend whether you’re gluten-free or not (but wanted to highlight that especially)!
A. B.
This place is amazing!!! The food is simply delicious. I recommend cullen skink and kedgree!!!
G. N.
Really good food. Such an institution. Great pints and the food is excellent. Fish batter was super crispy and lught and the portions were huge. Great selection for kids and excellent seafood and shellfish. Dog and kid friendly and lovely outside areas too.
R. c.
Fish platter was amazing worth every penny! Good selection of drinks great service very friendly staff and dog friendly.
S. B.
Great cosy pub with a beer garden if the sun is out. The beer selection is good, whisky even better and the food is always delicious. Who can go wrong with a mug of mac n cheese and some quality seafood?
C. B.
Food and drinks' quality way above the average pub. Service is always great, so it's the background music and the atmosphere. One thing that can be improved for sure, it's the ladies restroom - still a well deserved 5-star!
I. A.
Very popular eatery in Leith. Scenic area. Sittng outside is such a pleasure! Enjoy your meal and the day, indeed.
J. C.
Probably my favourite pub in Edinburgh. Lovely staff, great food, and good beer. Location is very nice too. Fish and chips were awesome and put my local to shame
K. S.
Great pub, fantastic food good selection of beer, the mussels bowl and fish and chips were delicious
J. M. F.
One of the best pubs ever! Quirky building lovely seating areas great staff and a fab mix of beers. Food looks excellent too tho we didn't eat.
J.
Great food and ambience. Plenty of outdoor seats if you're not a fan of crowded spaces and are shielding (the bar was extremely packed), loved the beef pie and wife selection of beers.
P. A.
It was a lovely pub and a friendly staff. Cosy place with delish food. Would love to go back again.
A. M.
We just went for a drink but looking at the table beside we noticed that food looked great so I decided to try the fish and chips.
It looked a bit pricy on the menu but when I received the dish it was a huge fish an chips. My friend had the haggis Bon Bon (I am not a big fan) but to be honest they were very good, tasty and creamy inside and crunchy outside, I think they converted me to an haggis eater 🙈
It was delicious and definitely worthy the money.
Highly advices for groups of 6 for drink and/or for food, overall I’m glad we went as I will go back when it will be sunnier.
C. T.
Nice cosy place. Very yummy food. Highly recommend👌👌
C. N.
Simply amazing! The food is flavourful and the portions are generous. There’s also a nice deck with outside sitting. Totally recommend this place
B. Ş.
I ate one of the best haggis here!! Very friendly staff, also they have a very appealing beer garden. Would definitely recommend it for breakfast or lunch.
D. M.
Lovely place with a barge to enjoy some food and drinks on the water. Staff were quick, efficient and friendly. Table service through the app worked very good even though they seemed busy. Would go again for sure.
V. H.
Warm friendly service and the most impressive olives I've had in ages. Nice calm atmosphere without the excessive covid panic. All 8n all a great but safe aftwrnoon
C. S.
Great little pub huge selection of drinks on draught and great vibe
G. M.
Spent a couple of hours here on our honeymoon, I love a pub with lots to look at , quirky , friendly, the quality of the beer was tip top , will most certainly be heading back on my next visit to Edinburgh
D. M.
Great outdoor food and drink area. No bookings so a great option if you've forgotten to book in somewhere. Ordered through an app so very efficient. The mug of chips were absolutely fab, came with 3 dips too!
M. G.
The place was packed and needs refurbishment. The settee torn and with a throw on it - only place available. The chunky chips as part of the bean chilli were good. Mixed Bean Chilli was OK, lot of cheese!
A. T.
Grabbed Sunday lunch at Teuchters on the way out of Edinburgh on vacation recently, and I’m so glad that I did! What a really cool spot right along the water. It definitely has that “No frills” pub-feel to it, as you walk in the front door to the bar. But move on to the back of the restaurant and find cozy dining rooms and a waterside patio.
They have GLUTEN FREE fish and chips!! This was seriously the only place we had f&c during our two week long trip to Scotland and it they were awesome. Looking around it seems like their mug meals were very popular, but we were very hungry so opted for the ground beef chili nachos in addition to the fish and chips.
Very generous portions and everything tasted wonderful. Nice people working here too - be advised, you have to order everything at the bar. Wish we could have come back and drank here... oh well, there’s always next time!
C. G.
I’m lucky to have ate lunch here around 5 times a week for over a Decade.
So I keep going back, really good Scottish food & drink. The menu changes fairly often too. As does the beer, seems like different beer tap everyday.
I enjoy a couple of beers & malts at lunchtime.
I try to eat & drink different produce at each lunch.
“Very happy to be spoilt for choice,”Literally”
G. u.
Great pub! The owner and staff were amazing. Vast selection of whisky too!
d. R.
Really is a beautiful place, lovely setting. Food delicious. Friendly staff. Second time I've been. Will be back again.
P. M.
Always nice to visit here, especially getting a river view in the sunshine from our table. Great selection of beers, fabulous menu, nice staff.
J. C.
Looking forward to come back to this place! Nice food, huge selection of beers.
Definitely a must if you're in the area.
G. R.
Great little pub tucked away into a lovely corner of Leith. Breakfast rolls would fill a horse. Delicious Stornoway black pudding.
J. L.
Great place and it's been updated really well outside. Easy online ordering and yummy snacks. Will be back
M. F.
Great place, with great food, drink, also friendly attentive staff. Amazing extended facilities too, it goes on for ever and is full of character.
C. D.
Brilliant place to sit & enjoy a glass. Although we didn't eat here, the meals looked fantastic. There's an oitdoor Smokers Area & a smaller Non-Smokers Area on The Waterway of Leith. Lovely spot to sit in the sun. Friendly staff & quickbtable service (we wentvwhile Scotland at Tier 2 during Covid).
C. G. N.
Real Scottish pub/restaurant with nice football/rugby ambient and decoration. Quick service and pretty big courses. mac and chess 100% recommended. Nice views of the shore from the terrace and balcony.
D. H.
Cosy rustic pub, with huge choice of Scottish whiskeys and gin. Open fire, dog friendly and most of all great value, delicious food! Can highly recommend the Scottish classics - beautiful Oysters, Mussels with Bacon and Stilton, Haggis with Whiskey Sauce - but also try the excellent handmade Chinese dumplings. Very authentic, they source them from a local Chinese restaurant. Drinks wise, you can sample very local Leith gin and have the genius combo ‘Half/Half’, which is a half pint of local craft beer and a local whiskey! What’s not to like?!
T.
Absolutely amazing food! Fantastic whisky selection, loads you can't find anywhere else. Great staff. Brilliant
S. M.
Really nice atmosphere. Staff were helpful in getting us seated quickly during a busy time. Guinness was superb. Food was lovely for 1 Vegetarian and 1 not. Would definitely re-visit.
D. M.
Fantastic quaint little pub. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and phenomenal food! Go early or late if you do want to eat, as it is understandably very popular and it can be difficult to find a table.
C. a. P.
Fantastic waterside Pub in Leith. Interestingly the building used to be a ferry terminal for Boats to Aberdeen and beyond. Huge selection of Beers and Whiskey.
T. G.
Lovely place, great beers and food. Friendly bar staff in an amazing building. Couldn't fault it and stayed all afternoon. The kedgeree was out of this world. Thanks.
B. S.
Loved this pub! Right on the water, great food and fabulous staff!
A. L.
A great experience, good food at reasonable prices and good choice of beers.
T. F. L.
A warm, friendly pub & restaurant with a huge selection of beers, spirits & wines on offer at their lengthy bar - and a nice variety of seating areas to choose from, giving you space to people-watch or find a quieter spot if you'd rather avoid others.
There are lovely waterside tables out the back to sit at & enjoy the summer sunshine too.
A. B.
Mind-boggling array of whiskies, great selection of ales, very good service. Meat eaters and vegetarians both loved the food whenever we ate here. The place has a pleasant decor, plenty of seating, it's kept nice and warm with coal fires here and there. It's a rugby place so it will get busy when a game is on. Not cheap, but definitely good value for money. Whenever I have an out-of-town visitor, I bring them here and so should you.
M. H.
Cozy atmosphere, solid food, wide range of drinks, perfect hangout to relax
S. S. L. Q.
Great place for food and drinks!! Lovely outdoor area with a great view of the Leith harbour.
C. P.
Ten years ago, I was in here almost every night, and always enjoyed the atmosphere. The good news is that nothing much has changed. The beer selection is first class, but be prepared to spend more than a fiver for a pint.
C. H.
Delicious pints of Jarl by Loch Fyne Ales, great little setting down by the water in Leith. Food menu looks excellent and on a previous visit the bloody Mary and bloody ceasars were excellent
H. M.
Great selection of whisky and the best chips (with cheese and haggis) I have ever had. Like really these things ruined me. I ate so many I went home early as kept eatting them, forgot to drink and ended up feeling sick. This wasn't their fault, but Jesus, the taste and texture was unreal!
Bar man was sassy and obviously needs a hug; please give him some TLC. But he did his job and served my drinks as requested.
Location is above average and the chair I had was comfortable.
Check it out and ask for Harry. It won't mean anything to them, but will make me laugh knowing you did... Peace.
(Photo is about 20mins from venue, but is all I had).
P. P.
Fabulous night out last night. Food was amazing. Staff so warm and friendly. Thankyou so much especially to the lad who was serving us in the outdoor area.xxxx . You are amazing!!!
C. S.
Foods decent, staff are friendly and it has a relaxed atmosphere.
M. M.
good location, parked at nearby aldi(max 1.5 hours stay).
they serve oyster for breakfast, which is a good surprise.
P. C.
We had to wait for 30 min before being seated, the wait was definitely worth it. The food is very tasty, good quantities, well cooked. We were only here for 3 days so we wanted to make the best of it, this meal was one of the highlights of our stay in Edinburgh.
s. j.
How have I only discovered this place. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and the food is really good. I would definitely recommend visiting if you haven't already.
H. T.
We had a lovely lunch on the floating pontoon. Great food and great beers
J. M.
First time here and enjoyed it. Great beer and food, I had the venison stew which was really fine.
E. H.
The food was delicious but the style of the service was bit unclear(food ordering through your phone but drinks at the bar) and the QR codes on the table were hard to scan because they were shiny metal.
K. M.
Good range of quality drinks... great food, often very busy
J. M.
Always great quality and value. Oysters with some of the best local beer? Yes please.
c. d.
Great beer, friendly crew, don't know about the food yet, but I will eventually. For now 5/5
D. R.
Great atmosphere and service. Incredible range of whisky with a very novel way to taste something special if you aim is good enough.
B. C.
Had a table beside the fire, so cosy on a cold day. Fish and chips as usual for me, it's excellent.
C. M.
Great food, and friendly staff. Only complaint is there was not a lot of room beteen tables and the back door.
P. L.
Excellent bar, great food and fab atmosphere. Brilliant selection of beers, whisky and spirits.
L. R.
Nice spot, though a little unclear on how it worked when we came in. We came in and no one greeted us or told us to seat ourselves. We waited and eventually just walked in a d through and found a table, asked someone if we could sit there and they said "yep".
Learned from the menu that we should order from the bar.
From there it was all good. The food came out quick and was delicious. The Haggis in the mug was great.
Zero table service, no one asks how it was or if you need anything, just drop and run.
Odd overall, but seems efficient on their end.
C. T.
Great pub with good quality food and beers and whisky worth a visit
G. C.
Food excellent staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and service first class recomend to all
P. O.
Fabulous selection of whisky, gin, wine & beer with indoor and outdoor seating.
P. V.
Excellent pub with a very local feel. Great range of beers with frequently changed guest taps. Food is classic pub grub but done to a very high standard. Highly recommended.
D. B.
Lovely evening and great service. The Scottish office lights were doing their best to illuminate proceedings.
G. M.
Great food in a relaxed unfussy setting. Maintains its status as one of first of Leiths eateries. Recommend.
R. M.
Fabulous bar with great food! Friendly staff & great atmosphere 👌
D. E.
Fab location - great food - excellent service - huge portions - reasonably priced - big beer garden
C. H.
Great food and whisky selection. Best fish and chips I've had for a long time.
F. M.
A great wee pub right on the waterfront. Really large selection on draft, and spirits as well. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and the food is wonderful .
C. P.
Always a pleasure to go to Teuchters. Great service cosy atmosphere and a fantastic array of drinks and food choices.Dogs are welcome which is a bonus.
G. C.
One of my favourite bars in Leith, it has an amazing selection of Whisky and one of the best in Edinburgh. The bar staff are always freindly and welcoming and in the summer there's a great outdoor area to take in the Scottish Sunshine, on those occasions when the weather is in a good mood.
J. A.
Great welcome, friendly service. Excellent beer. Do go and visit. Joe Allen.
C. F.
Lovely pub great last minute find, the food, staff and atmosphere is great. I fully recommend a visit and another eatery to add to my favourite places in and around Edinburgh.
Thank you for a great experience.
C. L.
Delicious food and delicious beer... What more could you want??
M.
Popped in this afternoon for late lunch. The QR track and trace linked to the website, you need to do to get to the menu, is initially frustrating. Our 80 year parents could not do it and then ordered 15 burgers on the app.
I declined to pay £5 for a pint of 3.8% Jarl.
On the up side, the food is amazing and the service is very good.
I would love to drink here regularly as i love the place but just cant afford your beer prices.
E. S.
Hidden away, but a cosy bar, plenty of rugby data on the walls, hundreds of whiskies. A great place. For lunch
C. B.
Great food. Wonderful choice of whisky
K. T.
Nice traditional Scottish gastro pub in trendy Leith with indoor and outdoor seating. An excellent menu of pub food, encompassing a very generous vegan selection, as well as traditional Scottish favourites. Good selection of whiskies, friendly staff and excellent in applying Covid-19 regulations.
G. M.
Another great brekky at Teuchters Landing! Great staff, Thank you. 🙂
S. F.
We had a lovely meal in a picturesque setting, Old world vibe inside the pub, but we sat outside with a beautiful view of the harbour/docks. Friendly staff. Order the seafood platter, you won't regret it!
M. F.
Fantastic place! Been coming here for years. Mr Frankles enjoys the nachos and beers. As do we! Try the mac and cheese in a mug! Or one of their many fine whiskies and gins. Best beer garden in Leith by far.
N. M.
Stopped for a coffee and lunch, food was delicious and staff very friendly. Lots of vegan options!
J. C.
Pleasant surprise. Was out for a couple of drinks in the afternoon and ended up having food . The food was very good we had Nacho , Sharing platters and my Husband went for the biggest burger know to mankind . Everything was Great and the atmosphere was fun . The only thing that could of been better is the empty plates stayed on our table throughout our stay.
J. H.
Great area, drinks, staff. All Covid procedures adhered to. Fab
A. U.
Definitely a must visit place if you want to eat and drink well!
T. O.
Very atmospheric pub with extensive outdoor seating area in the heart of Leith. It's an old landing stage and ticket office I think. If you are looking for a great pub in Leith, this is the one.
D. J. M.
The food here was brilliant, and the service, once you finalised your order, on the app at the table, was fast and efficient.
I had the fish and chips, the fish was some of the best I have tasted in years, very high quality.
My parents enjoyed it too, as it was dog friendly.
Highly Recommended.
j. v.
Good vibes, very decent veggie patty with excellent home made chips. Loads of outside space but unfortunately didn't get one for me, despite places being free/tables available. Nice vibes and atmosphere.
F. T.
One of the nicest beer gardens in Edinburgh! good beer, good food and a lot of whiskey
K. S.
Fast becoming my favourite Leith bar again, having adapted to Covid restrictions, with fast, smooth service, wonderful outdoor space and most importantly operating a walk-in only policy. Other venues could learn something from Teuchters! Oh and their beer choice is both excellent and varied with lots of local breweries represented!
C.
Delicious food, slightly small portion of fish for the fish and chips meal but it made up for it with the freshness of the products and the big variety of beers. Thumbs up
P. C.
Had Christmas night out here. Food was absolutely amazing. Big portions so defo go on an empty stomach ❤️
C. M.
This is a great hidden jem. Hunt it down and enjoy a pint. You will not be disappointed.
C. S.
Food, staff, atmosphere fantastic, felt covid safe, setting is lovely, food and drinks were amazing
G. D.
Possibly the best steak pie I have had ,with the exception of my own
M. W.
A comfortable selection of beers and water frontage. Nice place to relax.
A. T.
Very comfortable and laid back. Nice whisky selection.
K. C.
Such a nice atmosphere. We visited whilst on a tour of Scotland. The staff were extremely helpful from start to finish. The food was lovely and plentiful. We highly recommend it.
F. M.
Good food. Friendly service. Slightly pricy but the location and overall experience is worth it. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be back.
S. L.
Really good food and staff are very nice.
j. w.
Good choice great beer plenty of whisky and gin to try
C. N.
Lovely massive sea food platter and the chips where out of this world.
Great experience and atmosphere with an excellent array of whisky.
Would highly recommend the place.
L. M.
Fantastic real ale. Huge selection of whisky
P. N.
Great little pub with the famous west beer on tap tremendous
I.
food is a bit overpriced but lovely drinks and a good vibe!
T. C.
The best scallops and fish and chips.
A. N.
Cosy pub by the water with interesting decor. Good range of food and drinks. Very generous portions (you can almost share one between two for a light lunch!)
M. F.
Nipped in for a few drinks and ordered some snacks for the table, fantastic service! The snacks are very big portions so we ordered more than was necessary. 10/10 will be back
J. B.
Fantastic range of drinks. Excellent service
J. B.
Fell upon this place whilst exploring Leith. Excellent food and beer; I can recommend the venison and pancetta burger with chips and a pint of Ossian which has previously been named the Champion Beer of Scotland was superb. Service was excellent and it was nice to be sat in a bit of shade outside on a hot sunny day.
R. M.
We went here for food following local's advice and boy we were not disappointed! Fancy haggis and cullen skink were delicious. Kippers were a bit too salty but fresh, and worked out well with sides and beer.
The place has lots of sitting space and can be joined without pre booking most of the time.
There's a good selection of soft drinks, which is quite rare.
D. P.
Very nice place to sit outside also has a cosy bar inside. Has it's spirit and mood. Various dishes and drinks to chose from. Will be returning :)
N. M.
Lovely location on the water. Lovely to sit out in summer, nice to sit inside in winter with a mug of mac and 🧀. Smashing wee place!
M. R.
Great food and drink in a casual atmosphere. Scallops were delicious. Wife enjoyed the gluten free fish and chips.
a. h.
Came for the breakfast and wasn't disappointed.. delicious, freshly made with good quality produce
V. A.
Need to support pubs. Great choice of beers in a friendly atmosphere
K. K.
Had my first pint outdoors since December I think! Definitely coming back for food, I saw them fish & chips and I drooled all over the place! QR code and website easy to use, hand sanitizers all over and overall great experience in these troubling times! Keep up the good work and I'll see you again soon!
J. C.
Great atmosphere, fab location, amazing choice of Whiskey, Rum, Gin etc. Down side, the place smelt so bad of chip fat! Otherwise 5 out of 5.
F. D.
Great for sitting outside, good pub grub. What's not to like. Well, one tiny thing.
It would be good if they could either create their main using at least a size 12 Arial font or equivelent, or have a larger font menu available on request for people with bad eyesight or with a visual impairment.
W. M.
Amazing Scottish breakfast here and friendly staff.
D. C.
First time I have beeb here and certainly was not disappointed. Fantastic choice of my favourite whisky and excellent service
M. C.
Great food here, the haggis neeps and tatties was wonderful with a tasty mustard sauce. They also have an extensive whiskey and beer selection!
M. V.
Nice place, real good food (and most important, different from only burgers or sanwiches) and good prices. Really like it!
t.
Great place to meet, staff friendly and great food and service.
S. B.
Excellent meal and service. Wonderful location.
K. L.
Lovely outside area with tables well spaced out. Staff were great & explained the COVID safe guidelines really well. We scanned a QR code for the menu & ordered all our food & drinks online which was then brought straight to our table. Our meals were delicious & very much looking forward to visiting again. You don’t have to book in advance - first come first served depending on space available.
J. w.
Lovely setting, great platter and chips. Staff really helpful. We made mistake on order app and they changed it for us no fuss made. Dog friendly too!!
c. s.
Can only purchase drinks/food via app which is not something i find appealing. Plenty of space and friendly staff. Good spot for a pub.
T. D.
Great atmosphere, ambient. Good wine list but preferred the wisky or beer one, more atypical
S. R.
A bit wind blown outside but fish and chips were fabulous!
R. W.
Lovely spot and great menu. The guy who manages the door is a right jobsworth who insults the customers when they are out of earshot and gets kicks off getting them to follow pointless instructions which was quite embarrassing to watch, I'm assuming for egositeric reasons known only to himself. The other staff are sound though and nice place overal.
P. B.
Really enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great lively atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit.
J. F.
Perfect cosy spot with lots of personality! Loved the vegan options, and the great range of drinks (some cracking beers). Staff were lovely, will 100% be back!
S. S.
What a great place, right down in the old docklands of Leith, slightly hidden and a lovely spot! Met friends, had food and drinks, staff were friendly and a most enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
Thanks 😁
G. B.
Food is excellent but the web app ordering is TERRIBLE. First of all they scrape as much data as they possibly can from you, then they make you use a fiddly, badly designed ordering app to order and pay for your food. No possibility to customise your order (eg, hold the onions!) and no confirmation when the order is complete. My friend managed to double order on the app and rather than them checking if we really wanted double fish and chips and 2 sea food platters for just 2 people, they just brought out all the food. When we questioned it, they blamed us for double ordering.
Come on Teuchters, sort the service out and you'll be back to 5 stars.
G. I.
Nice pub fine selection of real ales and whisky's
i.
Friendly and efficient staff. Whilst the app was struggling at times the staff sorted the drinks very well. Sat outside and whilst pleasant the area on the water could prob do with a bit of a revamp at some stage as seems a little dated. All in all tho a great place for a few drinks.
R. W.
Fabulous atmosphere, choice if local drinks and food was yummy
P. H.
Great atmosphere. Good selection of food. We had the mussels which were generous and juicy. Friendly and efficient service.
B. C.
Nice bar, friendly staff, good beer and whisky. Food was decent with a good choice.

Never fails to please. Teuchters is my favourite local and I visit here several times a month. The food is constantly great and the staff are amazing
T. W.
First time back in Teuchters Landing since before lockdown and we had missed the place! Unsurprisingly, didn't disappoint. The measures they have in place in this new era are the best I've experienced in any hospitality venue I've visited so far - but crucially without taking away any of the charm and comfort from before. Great staff, great food, great selection of drinks. One of my favourite places in Edinburgh to relax and only wish I could visit more often. So good to have you back!
S. C.
Nice food, good service, not a great selection of beers.
R.
Och aye the noo.......superb whisky selection and fine ales.........
I. S.
Brilliant place. Great food, extremely friendly staff, cosy seating. Love this place!

Great outside In the sun, great selection of 20+ draught beer
W. M.
Brilliant food and drinks and great service and staff
A. M.
Whilst my order was not a "challenge" to any competent chef, I thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips. Everything was just cooked to perfection. What more can anyone ask?
R. W.
Lovely staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Great cocktails..
A. F.
The food is really delicious and affordable. They have a nice collection of gins & beers.
M. T.
We went there to meet friends and have lunch..The pub used to be a regular haunt when my girlfriend lived nearby. Very cozy and welcoming. Fish and chips were delicious and dog-friendly too. The only disappointment was that the rugby had been cancelled. Recommended.
E. C.
Been here a few times but this was the first since covid. Very impressed with how we found it. One of the few places you don't need to pre-book (don't think they take pre-bookings). Shown to our table and everything booked from the table Found the app frustrating to use as I kept getting kicked out but that was probably just me not being able to use it correctly. Will definitely go back and would recommend to others..
J. G.
Looks very small from the outside but like a tardus inside. Lovely to sit outside in the sun and covid measures in place. We didn't eat but everything that came out of the kitchen looked yummy!
W. Y.
Lovely atmosphere - Table QR codes were a little finicky to scan but drinks were great and staff were friendly ^^
J. H.
Bit disappointed with the food. & could make do with taking out 1 or 2 tables so there would be better social distancing
C. B.
This place was a great find. The Buffalo Farm Burger was cooked to perfection and the handmade chips were fantastic. Big selection of beer and scotch. Prices were very reasonable. Best lunch out in awhile. Definitely going back.
S. M.
Afternoon beer on the water - great summer location.
s. w.
If you read the bad reviews on this place can I just say they are wrong. I seen one review a guy complaining he had to order at the bar in a bar I mean come on. The food is very good. Fresh fish and calamari and home made chips. They have the classic pub foods. It's one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh and have eaten here a whole bunch of times. The staff are friendly. The place is very busy a lot of the time. It's a very warm and welcoming place. I travel from outside of Edinburgh just to eat at the place.
K. H.
Impressed with the quality of dishes this pub served 👍🏼
t. l.
Great outdoor space for food and drink. QR codes to make it easy for track and trace and also for ordering. Can't book tables in advance
T. S.
Great pub. Great location with good food. Currently the best breakfast in the shore, served with good hot coffee in a proper coffee mug. No pretentious coffee glasses here! They are also capable of frying a soft yolk egg! Quite a feet it seems as not many others are capable!
A. N.
Reliably good food, drinks, and service each time. The seating area outside is nice, plus it's dog friendly!
S. W.
With the sun out the outdoor space is gorgeous. The food as well is lovely if a little pricey and a great selection of drinks. Waiting staff who bring out food are very attentive and pleasant. The only reason for the 3 stars was the service at the bar... on a busy Easter Monday. There was only 2 or 3 staff members at the small bar. You have to order your food and drinks at the bar meaning that there was always a long queue, one wait was 45mins. My friend was particularly frustrated that the limited bar staff were very slow, regardless of how long the queue she said they did not hurry themselves. Overall I would definitely come again and hope that there is more staff.
H. D.
Fantastic quaint Scottish pub. Very cosy inside with fire burning, lovely atmosphere. Not touristy, only locals were there (other than us!). Great variety on menu for both drinks and food. Gorgeous cheese board and haggis mug, one of the best pub meals I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend
C. J.
Very well organised with everything going on, place was very clean and the staff were excellent all the way through.
The food was incredible, first time trying a venison hot dog and really it was superb.
Great atmosphere, lovely location by the water, will be back again.
C. B.
Busy place with a good vibe. Fantastic selection of whiskeys. However I ordered the steak pie which was burnt on top and soggy underneath. Along with cheesy chips which were very disappointing as they were soft and luke warm. Overall great drinks but food not so good.
K. T.
Love this place! The food is great. Do not be fooled when things are served in a cup, there is still a lot in there. The drink selection is endless and you will definitely find something you like. In the summer you can sit outside on the barge! It's brilliant.
T. H.
Lovely old pub full of character, great beer and whisky selection. Friendly staff.
M. f.
Great beer and whisky selection. The food is fairly good. If you like rugby it is definitely the pub to be in, although expect it to be busy. Also if your buying a nip of whisky and your unsure which to get then ask the bartender to play the hoop game.
W. S.
Great bar with good atmosphere, staff all very friendly and welcoming. We didn't try the food but it looked and smelled delicious!
S. S.
Very well organized for social distancing. We felt very safe and relaxed. They have a great one way system and lots of touch free sanitizer. They also have a great QR code system for ordering, which I hope they keep post pandemic. there is loads of outdoor space with plenty of room, so if you're nervous about getting back out there - this is a good place to start.
E. T.
Nice place ! Beef pie is great..
Excellent
K. H.
Path car park very good worth a visit
S. R.
Lovely small quirky pub with delicious food and amazing varieties of beers and drinks.
J. E.
One of the best burgers i ve ever had and great collection of local beers
A. D.
Nipped in for a couple of pints. Well recommended, good selection of beers (and whisky) and met two beautiful huskies as an added bonus...
J. R.
Stopped in for lunch and a couple of drinks on a Monday afternoon. Great selection of beers. Food was really tasty, generous portions. We sat in the room that looks out onto the water, really nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
E. B.
One of my regular goes. fantastic selection of tap beer, Whisky and anything you could want. Food is also hearty, with a brilliant menu choice. Love the coffee. This is a must go to is you want to watch the rugby - BUT GO EARLY!!!
a. c.
Great food and helpful staff. There is a fantastic outdoor beer garden. The only down fall is the very strange single file queueing system. It takes up all the seating area in the bar and gets ridiculous when it's busy. I've walked out a few times.
There is plenty space behind the bar for people to queue (like a normal bar queue). Which would then make it a more comfortable dining experience when eating inside.
R. M.
Covid-19 has posed a challenge to many businesses and Teuchters Landing has met that challenge very well. Numbers are well controlled at the entrance, registering can be done quickly on repeat visits and orders are placed from your table using a QR code and a commendably clear site. Staff are friendly, service was prompt and the food tasty. We ate twice here in a week's holiday and sat outside in the garden by the water's edge. Just one minor gripe, non-alcoholic cider is advertised on the web site menu but is no longer stocked.
P. H.
great location by the water and terrific selection of beer, wine, whisky and food.
C. P.
Great pub all around. Great draught selection, large choice of whiskeys, lovely food. Have visited a number of times and have always been very happy with everything. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. A regular stop whenever I'm down by the shore
M. N.
Great venue, felt covid secure, seated outside, great beers good gluten free options, great chips and great nachos! No reservations and a fair queuing system of first come first in.
L. H.
Found this pub by chance and what a lucky find. Nothing to look at from the outside but once you are in lots of different little rooms and a bigger one at the back overlooking the River and some accommodation. There is also outside seating for better days. The food was delicious and rather large portions for big eaters. The staff were friendly and pleasant
I.
Loved the place made to feel very welcome friendly staff even my dog enjoyed his drink definitely returning hope the weather is a bit better to enjoy the pontoon
C. L.
Extensive selection of single malt and craft beers! Good food menu and great bar snacks also served here!
J. R.
Good pub food. Sat outdoors.
D. S.
This place is amazing. We were looking for the most local bar we could that also had great good. They did not disappoint. The food was local and unique. The Scotch selection was amazing. Do not pass this place up bits well worth the walk.
B. H.
It's probably my favourite pub in Edinburgh. Great atmosphere, super nice staff and the food is always excellent 👌
E. K.
Always good to visit when I take my dog to Leath. Great place, great atmosphere. Love the beer garden!
E. H.
Delicious food and wonderful setting. Staff were lovely. Vegan hotdog was 10/10 for me!
P. P.
Popular pub and eaterie near the shore in Leith. Had many night outs and meals here, great place for a meet up with friends and family with plenty of outside seating as well.
C. H.
The team at Teuchters have taken great care to keep all their staff and customers as safe as can be and we felt confident to call for a drink and some food in their well organised and spacious outdoor area, set by the water at Leith. We were so glad we did - we thoroughly enjoyed really tasty food beautifully served up. Can heartily recommend the Gamekeeper's pie and the haggis stovies. Fabulous beers too. Perfect.
D. G.
What a cosy, friendly small bar. Bar staff were so friendly and the food was fantastic. Very quickly served. I had to leave a compliment before leaving. We very much enjoyed our visit and will be back again soon.!! ;)
K. L.
Best place to eat in Edinburgh. Consistent and so tasty, it never disappoints. Love the outdoor space as well, is just amazing and we love it. Staff are relaxed and just leave you to it instead of constant annoying check backs. Food is reasonably priced and portions are big. I take everyone here who cones to visit us, can't recommend highly enough
J. A.
We had a table of six. The food was pretty good. We shared a cheese plate and a large mac and cheese for appetizers. Between the lamb stew, fish and chips, pie, toastie and curry, the only thing not liked by the group was the curry. The staff was very friendly. I dropped a star because of the confusion for a new patron on where you could sit and how to order, plus the whole standing in line for both drinks and food. For prices that seem comparable to a lot of pubs, a server would have made the dinner excellent. It really seems like a money loser, as we would probably have ordered a few more rounds if we didn't have to stand in line each time!
A. F.
Cozy, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Nice drinks selection and lovely food.
J. W.
Well organised despite the ridiculous restrictions placed upon them at the moment, and very quick table service. Great food. Best of luck to the pub and all the staff over the next months of the Second Great Hysteria.
M. M.
Friendly, polite and informative staff. Always said hello and conscientious. Service was fast when using the App. Was talked though how their ordering process due to Covid. Great place at the back when the sun is out for a drink the sun.
Thanks to all the staff that day for making my day out after lockdown. This was only my second time I was out and had to make adjustments in my life.
S. J.
Staff very helpful in choosing the right beer, right beside the water and lots of little rooms to sit in.
S. K.
Nice place for a bite outside. Decent menu and wine list is very good. Bloody Mary's are very good. Lovely and quaint on the inside and if the sun's shining you'll struggle to get a seat outside!
K. F.
Such and amazing pub, with a great view to the waterfront. Perfect to watch sports and drink whisky, dog friendly too!
Breakfast and coffee was HUGE and well priced. Couldn't have asked for more.
A. H.
Went with friends, good beers, traditional Scottish food with a twist which was excellent. Definitely worth a visit
S. L.
Great food and range of beers. The ordering app is terrible for payment options. Doesn’t remember your card details and you have no way to pay via Apple or Google Pay. Bring back contactless payment at the tables!
P. C.
This is a fabulous pub with a good historic feel to it. The staff are friendly, the pub is clean and comfortable with plenty of cosy little rooms. The beer was OK, not great but not bad by any stretch. Well worth a visit when in Edinburgh
J. W.
Good amount of beers on tap, extensive whisky menu. Sometimes I think it really needs an overhaul. The food and drinks are great, but the decor has seen better times.
R. O.
Great pub with nice interior, close to the harbour area. Great food and drink.
R.
Great place for a relaxed lunch at any time. Every room is an interesting nook and cranny, and as if that weren't enough, there are areas outdoors next to the water to enjoy a drink and a casual chat. Fans of excellent whisky will find the drams on offer wide-ranging and good value. Big screen TV for sporting events like the World Cup or Wimbledon also on hand. This is a great addition to Leith's new waterfront area.
R. L.
Probably one of the best veggie burgers in Scotland. Excellent staff, they let us change tables three times as our group expanded. Really cool outdoor seating area on the water. Excellent drink selection.
Y. n. N.
The roof was handy in the rain. But really. Just a good well run beer focused cafe pub. One of the best in leith
J. H.
A great selection of Beers, Wines and Whiskies (plus other spirits) and an extensive selection of top quality food for a light snack or a full meal. Warning the portions are large ! A large water-side outdoor area is ideal when the weather is good and plenty indoor seating. Can get very busy at times! Be prepared to queue at the bar, especially when it's sunny! A popular rugby pub, when Scotland are playing it is usually standing room only (there are three T.V. screens in separate rooms). Dog and child friendly, there's something for everyone (although dogs may not be allowed inside when especially busy e.g. Scotland playing Rugby).
H. S.
Friendly helpful staff, lovely atmosphere.
V. M.
Nice pub with good beer and tasty veggie burger.
I. M.
Outstanding food and very nice staff.
E. M.
An amazing selection of drinks and a friendly welcome. The position on the water is wonderful! Highly recommended!
G. C.
This is always a good shout. A great place for realy good beers and whiskies. The mug menu is perfect pub food. I don't like putting 5 stars normally, but in the absence of a 4.8 star option...
G. S.
Great venue, either just tor drinks or for a meal. Lots of local beers, good wine list, and fresh food. Excellent seafood and veggie options, and friendly and efficient staff. Outside seating area right next to the water is one of the best places to enjoy a drink in Edinburgh / the world.
N. “. l. M. D.
This place was awesome. We are from the U.S and we're looking for a good bite and a beer after the Britannia tour. Good prices, hoop of destiny is a must do. Come by, get a pint, sit in the back and prop open the door for a good sea breeze.
DO IT!
D. K.
Great location, great food & Excellent beer...can't recommend enough.
A. M.
Great pub. Decent food and good for rugby on TV. Great whisky selection.
R. I.
Very nice and authentic place. Plenty of space, big tables and nice view. I liked wide selection of whiskey they have and the personnel working at the bar, pretty people. I would recommend this place for friends and families, it will fit everyone.
r. c.
Lovely boozer ... impressive selection of whisky
C. M.
A favourite idyllic and fun spot for drinks or food in Leith! Great options, yum food, lovely staff and laid back atmosphere. Outside is almost surrounded by the canal lock and water so it’s a fun summer (Covid) hangout and ample tables so usually a lot of room
C. M.
The cask ale is always top quality - special mention for Landlord which seems to be on all year round. With cozy seating inside and a big beer garden its a great place in summer and winter. Food is also very good and we've enjoyed everything that we've had there. It's also dog friendly which is a big plus for us!
e. s.
Best ordering experience I’ve had during Covid, so quick and efficient! Staff were super friendly and beer was fantastic. Thanks!
M. H.
This place is tucked away so that you feel like you are entering a little Warren but inside their are dark intimate cosy spaces, social areas and and a bright conservatory to enjoy the daylight. Quick service and a menu with good local produce. It feels like it has been there forever and yet has a casual sense of fun in the decor. I like it.
N. D.
Great pub! Friendly staff, great beers and selection of beveridge and good food. It's informal and feels both historic and quirky. It's cosy in winter and in summer they open up the pontoon so you can sit outside. Highly recommended.
J. P.
Great atmosphere here with good selection of craft beers changed frequently. Very good seafood and there is an outside seating area on the edge of the water. Excellent place for pints after work or a laid back dinner
S. G.
Vast variety of food and even more variety of drinks. Friendly staff and excellent food. I had the buffalo burger, my wife had the chilli and my daughter had the Mac&cheese all of which were top notch! Highly recommends his hidden pub.
G. C.
i love this place. friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks served well. an extensive and excellent food menu, the chips here (such a simple thing i know) are legit the best ive ever had. also in summer the beer garden is something to behold.
its pretty expensive, however given the vibe and the products on offer i think its worth it
A. C.
Absolutely perfect! It was great to sit outside with some veggie haggis and really soak up the Scottish vibes
J. B.
Excellent location lots of seating near the water staff were very good couldn't do enough for us food was very good recommend it to everyone
B. M.
A bit off the beaten track, but none the less a very popular bar. Food is very good and there is great selection of local real ale, with many of the Edinburgh local breweries beers for sale either on tap or by bottle/can. A bit pricey but worth the treat. You can sit by Water of Leith which is an added bonus.
R. W.
As a former teuchter myself, I always enjoy a visit to this pub. Lively but comfortable atmosphere and a great selection of draft beers/ciders and whiskies. The menu is similar to A Room In Leith next door, and portions are very generous. Great in summer as you can sit in the beer garden by the water, or in winter as the conservatory at the back is very cosy.
G. M.
Fantastic drink & food selection. Pub grub but done well (not to be confused with fancy) and tasty. Cullen Skink is my personal recommendation. Cosy warren of rooms & outside eating areas, nice community feel although you're often bound to find tourists in here too which is great. Good for everyone. Friendly staff, nice Publican/owner. Good atmosphere when there's a match on too...Rugby or Footy.
C. G.
Such a good place to chill by the Water of Leith. Gluten free fish and chips wis definitely a winner too!
D. D.
Great food, one of the most comprehensive whiskey selections to suit all tastes, some really nice local beers, great staff and a wonderful setting overlooking the water of Leith with outdoor sitting. This place is a lovely place if you want to go alone or with a group.
P. N.
Love this place. Great selection of drinks and nice atmosphere. Pubby in the front and lovely conservatory through the back. Ample space to sit out on a nice night. Process gone up a fair bit in last year or so.
R. D.
Great for drinks outside a then food later. Burgers came with a huge amount of chips and the services was excellent. Very good safety measures in place, thanks.
E. B.
Very clever ordering system to ensure social distancing! Also in general just a great place, outside, habour view, great beers and food, nice atmosphere. I did not miss anything!
J. R.
Quirky wee place with a great selection of booze. The hawf n hawf deal kept me amused for untold hours.
n. p.
Great food, drink and service. The mug based meals are absolutely perfect for munching in a pub where table space isn't always in abundance. Great selection of draft and bottled beer and any time I've been in staff have been very welcoming. Great value overall.
S. M.
I really like this place. I don't get to drink in the Leith/Shore area often, but when I do it's usually here. Staff very nice and the food is great. Its one of the best places to sit and relax on a hot Scottish day (these are few and far between but they do happen!) sitting by the water chilling with a cold (craft) beer or a cider and banter with friends. Awesome.
A. C.
Visited Teuchters for an evening meal while in Edinburgh for a few days. The food was great and the place very warming and comfortable. The staff were friendly and funny with quick, no fuss service. If whiskey is your thing then you must give this place a visit, i have never seen so much variety in one place.
叢.
Based on all my frequent visits I can say I am very pleased with this pub.
With his bare red brick walls inside, mismatched chairs, stools and tables and floating terrace outside it somehow reminds me of a pub on the water I used to go to in Amsterdam, Holland. - It has a continental feel to it.
Teuchters Landing has managed to win me over mostly based on their location. I am not too keen on the furniture inside.
A nice touch over the summer was the free use of suncream on the bar. As the place is a sun trap!
OK the bar itself. They have whisky - loads of it. - Too many to name, but to help out they have a whiskey menu list. Which is very informative and invites you to try not just one, two, but many, many more than you originally intended.. or was that just me?
Beside the wonderful selection of whisky, they have a full bar with Scottish brewers on tap / bottle and your usual suspects from known breweries.
The wine list is short (compared tot the whisky list) but has some nice ones on it.
The staff has always been cheerful, efficient and very helpful on my visits and I can compliment them for doing a nice job.
I did not have the food, but the summer menu looked appetising and seasonal.
Their biggest attraction for me is the outside 'floating terrace' overlooking the Leith Shore area. You can be assured of a tan after spending an afternoon in that spot - which sometimes has table service.
I recommend this bar for summer. Why don't I like this in winter? Because I like to be on a terrace and I don't like the inside so much that is why.
M. S.
Pricey pub, but good quality food and drink and one of the best spots to hit on a suny weather
C. D.
These guys have all the Covid measures in place. Really effective and efficient. You download an app, order your food and drinks. Great social distancing and lots of outdoor seating area. Highly recommend
E. G.
Amazing - you might want to pop by for a draft, and then happen to spend the whole night there! Good food, huge choice of many beers (locals or imported), a good collection of whisky, and special staff. Not to be missed!!
R. K. (.
Had a tasty vegan haggis, neeps and tatties. Loved the small portion size and the price too. But it took 45 minutes to be served, as we were an office group of around 15 people. It would be useful if the pub accepted bookings.

Great walk-up. Sit outside lovely.

This is a great bar and restaurant. They have an excellent selection of beers and wines and a fantastic variety of foods, including several different sizes of dish, depending on how hungry you are - neat. I had 3 oysters for starters and a teuchter dog for main - delicious (mmm, shallot vinegar in oysters!) and very well priced. Highly recommended.
A. M.
Staff worked really hard to create a safe & secure environment for the customers. Drinks & food were delivered quickly and were of the high quality as I remember from my post-apocalypse visits! Cheers
P. C.
Was there on a bright and sunny day with a friend. We sat on the platform they have on the canal and had some lovely cider and veggie curry in a mug and it was sheer bliss. But if the weather is not good enough and you must sit inside, this quaint pub is still perfect. Friendly staff, great food and a perfect location.
E. W.
Well laid out space outside with lots of space, and clearly sign posted routes through the pub. Grear service from the lady welcoming and explaining the setup. Great food as ever!
J. S.
My favourite place I found in Edinburgh. A really lovely cosy pub, with friendly bar staff, board games and an open fire. It's right next to the docks, so I imagine it would be a great place in summer too. A good array of ales and an astounding choice of whiskeys. Tasty, reasonably priced food, mostly served in mugs!
R. G.
Great local in an attractive old building situated beside one of the old harbour entrances. It boasts friendly staff with a wide selection of beers and wines to wash down the food wihich it is justifiably known for. Always worth a visit.
G. B.
Great place right on the waterside. Good wine and whisky selection and friendly staff. Lots of little corners to sit in inside. But the real draw are the outdoor searing areas including one floating pontoon area with lovely views across the water.
B. L.
Fantastic pub. The perfect mix of old school pub/not too shabby interior. There's a huge beer selection including lots of Scottish pints which were great to try. We also ordered the sharer nachos with chilli beef and they were the best nachos I've ever had. The chilli was clearly homemade and the portion size was huge. Bonus - great playlist.
L. J.
Great to get back out! The team at Teuchters have put all appropriate Covid-19 safety measures in place allowing my brother and I to just concentrate on enjoying our tasty meal. Will be back soon.
E. R.
A good lunch visit. The app for ordering is a bit fiddly, but we got there in the end. Teuchters is always worth a visit.
S. D.
Great wee Leith pub tucked away in the Shore with a wide selection of beers and single malt whiskies. Really nice and varied menu offering big portions of pub-grub (so go hungry!). Friendly staff, fast service and a cosy atmosphere. Definitely one of the best pubs down the Shore.
M. B.
I really can't fault this place. Nice atmosphere and interior. Great selection of drinks. Great pub food, including the best nachos of my life, and fair prices. Great stuff.
S. O.
This is a great bar in Leith. The mugs of Cullen skink, kedgeree and cheesy chips are unbelievable fantastic.
S. O.
Great meal, lovely service, attractive chilled vibe ambience. Really enjoyed our experience.
E. R.
Well worth a visit. Reasonable prices, good menu and nice range of drinks available. A very quirky little pub with lots of waterside outdoor seating.
c. s.
Good food. Very good selection of beers and other drinks. Very rugby orientated which means at times it's packed with supporters. Ok for some but not for me. Would give five stars otherwise.
M. W.
Had several enjoyable beers here
S. M.
A brilliant selection of beers and whiskies are at your beck and call in this classic Leith abode. Teuchters is great for small and large groups alike. The staff are friendly, and happy to offer information and tasting on the ales they offer.
s. b.
had a good time there watching the rugby World Cup match scotland vs russia early in the morning, having a nice breakfast.
the crew and other customers were just lovely. there is a lot of space and they have a terrace too.
M. P.
Came here with my girlfriend and had a really lovely meal on a sunny June afternoon. We sat in a sort of atrium area, which makes you feel like you're outside but without having to deal with the wind and the insects! Our server was very friendly and talkative, which is always a good sign. I have to say that my sirloin steak was overcooked, which is a shame when you pay over £20 for one. It was just over medium rather than medium-rare but I still enjoyed it, and to be honest the whole experience of the restaurant, staff and service was very good, so I didn't feel the need to complain. Overall, I'd definitely recommend A Room In Leith.
L. M.
Great pub serving food (vegan/vegetarian; dairy/nut/gluten free menus available), offering a wide range of booze and a brill atmosphere. Tons of good banter and table games!
j. p.
Massive selection of beer, wines and spirits. Great food, seats and tables outside. A nice cosy little bar with a restaurant attached.
It also has 2 large TV's for watching the Rugby and other sports. In the Evenings, the lights are low and the music's in the background.
C. H.
Really nice spot in Leith on the water.
s.
Solid bar in Leith with a good selection of local brews, an enviable selection of whiskies, and a well-rounded selection of gins. Casual environment, friendly patrons and helpful staff all combine for s positive experience.
P. S.
Great place on the water. Great service but on line ordering is impersonal an a bit of a faff.
Food very good
N. S.
Brilliant food and good beer
E. C.
Great location, Great pub. Good
selection of beers on tap. Food is good value, although nothing special, and drink selection is great. Especially nice on the patio in the summer.
I. P.
Have always liked Teuchter’s. Going there after Covid-19 pandemic, they are exceptionally well organised for the safest possible experience of some social pub time. Staff are lovely and food is high quality.

Good beer, great service, great chips. The vegetarian hot dog wasn't great - just two small shop-bought veggie sausages.
L. K.
Huge selection, great atmosphere! Wish we had one of these back in the US!

A lovely little pub next to the shore with an outside seating area. The food here in magnificant and it definaltey gives you then homely feeling with with a comfort food menu. Drinks also good here and i love the little quicky areas you can sit, almost like a little maze. Their are boardgames in the main bar area and the staff have always been friendly whenever i have visited, one of my favourites at the shore

Incredibly cosy atmosphere and really nice to be able to dine right on the water. I really enjoyed the haggis and was thrilled to have several herbal teas to choose from (Citrus Zing was the winner this time - yum!). Considering special dietary menus are available, I'm surprised I couldn't get hot chocolate with soya milk! But I would definitely visit again nonetheless!

I really like Leith. When I visited first in the 1970s it was fair to say that it was a bit of an industrial wasteland. Nowadays, it's a post-industrial wasteland which is much better news for the casual tourist. This bar, which was once the waiting room for Highlanders ferrying up up to Aberdeen is one of the highlights. It has a floating beer garden and is surrounded by some lovely waterfront architecture which speaks of the centuries old importance of this North Sea port. Nearby, a disused railway provides a very scenic walk back to Edinburgh, which I heartily recommend.

Cracking pub and very pleasant team running it. Really good beer, I recommend the newbarn pilsner
A. H.
A VERY busy after work bar with a great choice of whisky and beer. It can be too busy after work and you may face quite a wait to get to the bar, let alone order food. In sunny weather the outside section makes the bar completely worth the wait.
K. H.
Definately worth a visit. Great range of real ales, outside seating, even on the water!
H. M.
Perfect for evening drinking and the BEST bar menu around. Mugs of meatballs and macaroni cheese - yes please! Good selection of beers and a monumental whisky list. Try throwing the hoop to win a dram!
C. A.
Amazing drinks selection especially the whiskeys.
Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Never make you feel anything but welcome.
Dog friendly too.
C. F.
Unbeatable selection of single malts and a good choice of well kept cask/keg beers. Didn't try the food, but the outdoor spaces were a lovely place to enjoy a drink.

Great. The bar boasts a great selection of draughts including the very wonderful Innes & Gunn Original. An option offered is for two pint steiners, so halving the number of times you go to the bar. Comfortable. Nice bar staff. The only thing I could wish for is Free Beer.
A. H.
Honestly had the best hotdog and chips I have ever had in my life! The hotdog was huge, tasted absolutely amazing and was surrounded by beef chilli and cheese. The chips were huge and well cooked with seasoning on top. Loved it. 110% would go back again
R. A.
Our favourite pub in Leith! Cosy in the winter and fab in the summer with a great beer garden. Good selection of beers and love the food!
T. F.
Great food, friendly staff, and a huge selection of whiskies, beers and gins. I've recommended Teuchters to many people, with the hope that we'll go together! The food is incredibly good value too - try the Teuchter Dog!
A. P.
Recommend this cosy pub along the canal! Comfort food to the max - their haggis in a mug concept is a winner, as well as their range of gins and whiskeys. Prices around £10 for a main. Decent!
G. S.
Friendly welcoming pub food was delicious
But the app is not very easy to juggle whilst trying to decide who wants what or what's on menu... very frustrating
S. B.
Another great bar in this area, you get a sense of its history as the old waiting room for the Leith to Aberdeen ferry. Good for sport watching and always a good range of beer, though relatively dear.
B. J.
Great beer, great food, arrived starving and left totally satisfied
K. K.
My favourite bar in Edinburgh. Great offering behind the bar with some of the friendliest staff you will meet. Also has a great kitchen, breakfasts are brilliant and after that the "mugs" menu and bar meals will not leave you hungry.
Personal favourites are the Haggis Stovies and the Fish and Chips.

Brilliant food, great beer and a very nice place to visit.👍🍻
C. T.
Amazing pub! Excellent food!
You find a table and then you order and pay for food a drinks at the bar. Your meal is served to you fresh from the kitchen afterwards.
S. B.
Really lovely, cosy place to spend a few hours. Great pub food and wide variety of find and whisky. Dog friendly before 6pm.
J. L. J.
Nice place for some seafood and drinks. The menu is gigantic and so is the selection of Gins and Whiskys. Food wise, we opted for the kilo of mussels which did not disappoint!
M. R.
Great food and great service.
P. B.
A perfect little pub. Excellent whisky collection, one of the best bloody Mary's I've ever had, ace beer, hearty & tasty food and a great atmosphere. Love it!
B. M.
This was a great pub in Edinburgh (Leith) Super food, beautiful pub... if you’re near here go now!! Scotch flight and yummy haggis. Beautiful meat and cheese boards.
N. S.
Well organised, safe, very good electronic ordering system and excellent staff. Only marked down because I prefer cask ale and don't think there was any. Understandable at the moment.
J. B.
Cosy pub in the shore with a great range of beer, whisky and food. Fires burning in the winter and great outdoor space for those sunny days. The flotilla fills up quickly when the weather is nice so make sure you get there early to bag a spot! If you're a whisky fan then whisky hoopla is a fun way to 'chose' your next drink!
L. M.
A nice and quiet atmosphere in the Shore. If you are lucky and the night is warm, you can have a sit outside in the deck next to the canal. Nice and cosy indoors, sofas, fireplace and nice staff
C. J.
Great wee pub, local or not very friendly and great atmosphere. Awesome pub food, especially if you've a soft spot for Aberdonian food, can't beat a buttery!
R. M.
It's strong OK. There is no wow factor here as food is typical pub food made to OK quality of OK ingredients. Selection of beer is also OK. There seems to be a good selection of spirits if anyone was to spend a heavy night here.
C. E.
Fantastic vegan and meaty food, lovely atmosphere and beautiful pub!
W. F. A.
One of the best places to eat and drink in Leith. Quite pricey but definitely worth it. Friendly staff and the atmosphere is very homely. A very good place to go for a drink alone or go with friends. Wednesday evenings are the best. ;)
H. 7.
This place is barry. Chicken wings... in a mug! But seriously it's very good. Seating outside if the weather is good on pontoon decks and an incredibly cosy indoor area when it's not so warm, which is most of the time! Food is good. I think it shares a kitchen with the bistro next door. A really good stop on a tour of Leith/ the Shore which is defo one of the most vibrant and interesting parts of the capital.
M. S.
A local pub with a great atmosphere, delicious food. Good attitude and service. I really enjoyed the locals watching the rugby game. warmly recommended!
J. S.
Cosy pub. Loads of Whiskey to choose from and good range of beers and lagers. We didn't eat there but many people where and the food looked very good.
A. B.
What a great pub. We dropped in for a few drinks. Super friendly and welcoming service and the ‘highland whisky flight’ was a winner. I’d recommend dropping in
M. R.
Great place Nice friendly staff. Well set up for Vivid. I would have given 5 stars but my chips tasted fishy.
S. Y.
Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. The menu is high quality pub food, well suited to the after work crowd.
Lots of seating in the back, which overlooks the waters
E. F. R.
Bar with a fine selection of whiskies and ales. Good food menu with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
It does get very busy sometimes but service is usually fast and efficient.
Slightly derogatory name though.
P.
Good food, great atmosphere. Sat out on a beautiful summer’s night and had a lovely time. Staff very pleasant. And our dog came too!
S. S.
Lovely and cosy, very quirky.
S. H.
Thank you! So many good beers on tap but with a knowledgeable bar man and a couple of testers it's easy to find the right beer.
A very interesting place to enjoy a pint.
I. W.
Great night and good beer
S. W.
A lovely, cosy and quaint little pub. Really atmospheric, traditional and old school. A vast selection of whiskies and great seafood. Will definitely be coming back!
P. T.
Great spot. Nice food and a decent pint. Love love this place.
D. R.
Friendly staff and tasty beer being served. App ordering is a little clunky and could do with a more streamlined payment process such as Apple Pay.
M. V.
Delicious food, the haggis is done right. Great selection of beer on tap to chose from. You have to order your food and drinks at the bar.
A. F.
An average pub-and-grub place. The staff are delightful. Food is good. On a sunny day, the water-side setting is really relaxing.
M. N.
Friendly staff and brilliant feed. Dog friendly and great vibe. Will be back!
E. M.
Great fun

Cozy pub, seemed to have a hub conservatory and beer garden normally but didn't get much chance to experience it (Covid × Rain).
S. M.
COVID-19 processes are implemented well. Easy ordering via a qr code. One thing though - offers an app version to carry on ordering but the app language defaults to Dutch with no way to change it.
C. M.
The cask ale is always top quality - special mention for Landlord which seems to be on all year round. With cozy seating inside and a big beer garden its a great place in summer and winter. Food is also very good and we've enjoyed everything that we've had there. It's also dog friendly which is a big plus for us!
B. J.
Great to be able to use the app to order drinks as there’s no pressure on staff to keep an eye on the tables. One thing that could be improved is turn the lights down as I was fearful the current levels would attract low flying planes to land there.
P. C.
This is a fabulous pub with a good historic feel to it. The staff are friendly, the pub is clean and comfortable with plenty of cosy little rooms. The beer was OK, not great but not bad by any stretch. Well worth a visit when in Edinburgh
S. B.
Really lovely, cosy place to spend a few hours. Great pub food and wide variety of find and whisky. Dog friendly before 6pm.

Great place to sit down for a drink, both indoors and along the water. Ample seating outside. Prices are fair and staff is nice.
D. S.
Food was good. Unfortunately let down with tepid "hot" drinks.
C. S.
Lively staff, unique cider, great views of the waterways, delicious fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed playing at being a local
D. S.
have been to this place a few times and it's always been brilliant. i love the decor, the restaurant has a very laid-back atmosphere, and the food is always delicious. it's a great reliable place to have a nice chatty meal.
S. K.
Excellent fish and chips. Best I've had in a long time. Also sampled the whiskies. Very helpful bar staff.

My first post Covid lunch out with a friend!. Sat outside at Teuchters. Staff were amazing, patient and attentive. Food was ace!! Cant wait to go back!!

A good pub with authentic atmosphere and great food.

visited this lovely place while enjoying an overnight stay in Leith , the service was great, it has a really nice vibe and excellent menu .The safety measures were spot on ,fully enforced and resulted in a feeling of safety and relaxation.I can't wait to go again and would highly recommend it
S. C.
Decent prices, healthy helpings and good food in homely surroundings. There is a large outside seating area for the warmer days. Been coming here for decades!
F. S.
Queues to get in however when we eventually did get in the place they had loads of empty tables . It's as if the staff didn't want too many customers to serve .

Great place to sit down for a drink, both indoors and along the water. Ample seating outside. Prices are fair and staff is nice.
R. L.
Probably one of the best veggie burgers in Scotland. Excellent staff, they let us change tables three times as our group expanded. Really cool outdoor seating area on the water. Excellent drink selection.
L. S.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The outdoor terrace is great. I love the old English pub feel about it. The only annoying thing is having to order everything from the bar, including food.
M. H.
Wormy and cozzy place inside with great bar food, love the fish plate for 2.
G. S.
Great venue, either just tor drinks or for a meal. Lots of local beers, good wine list, and fresh food. Excellent seafood and veggie options, and friendly and efficient staff. Outside seating area right next to the water is one of the best places to enjoy a drink in Edinburgh / the world.
C. S.
Lively staff, unique cider, great views of the waterways, delicious fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed playing at being a local
N. L.
Great pub but horrendous booking app!
C. A.
Amazing drinks selection especially the whiskeys.
