Me and my mom have been to Grosvenor 2times and both time the staff have been very helpful and they have very great food got two meals for 12 99 you can get it on Sunday and Thursday thanks to the staff that made sure we had a great time. best lasagna I have ever tasted I am going to get it again yummy yummy 🤤😋🤤🤤

Traditional type pub, did question the quality of the punt I ordered, very very cloudy and was told" that's what it's meant to look like!" Have had that particular beer before and it has never looked like that! My refusal to take it and pay for it did not go down too well with the barman,!!

Yummy traditional Scotland food and yummy traditional Scotland drinks. what more could you ask for. This place was the first Scottish experience & the staff was very helpful in making sure that we got a good Scottish experience with highest quality of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. We had a lovely wonderful breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed and the staff was very helpful in guiding us to all sorts of different Scottish items like haggis. They helped us with the drinks like rhubarb gin, drambui whisky liqueur each of which we enjoyed thoroughly thanks to the staff.

Well located old style pub with reasonable prices. I had a burguer which wasn't huge given the £9 but was definitely good quality meat.There is not a huge variety when it comes to food but it's quite an average pub menu. Staff is friendly and they served the food quite quickly.

Arrived to see if we could possibly get a table for a quick drink before we could book in to our hotel. Friendly greeting on arrival, makes all the difference. Wine was good, toilets clean, plenty of seats and tables and a good atmosphere. Perfect venue for a Friday afternoon wind down!

We did not have a table booked, however the staff still managed to find us something before the next customer booking. We had a lovely meal and everyone was very helpful. Food was very tasty - my skewered steak was delicious. The only thing we had noticed was slight shortage of staff that day, so everyone else had to work extra hard. They did very well though and we will surely be back one day.

Cozy pub with good pubfood. Stayed opposite in Cityroomz, so nice and easy to have a quick bite. Went for Mugo lager which is nicer and 'softer' than Stella Artois. Had the beef and ale pie which was yummy. Second time visited during football: huge crowds and unable to sit.

Lovely pub not far from Edinburgh Castle or Newtown. 50 different gins and 60 different whiskys. A great place to try a bunch of different gin and tonics for a low price. Most of the DOUBLE g&ts were under 7 pounds.

In the new "era" of being out... cannot fault staff. Very welcoming, all staff worked hard to ensure balance of hospitality and covid protection, prices good therefore value outstanding... the draught beer was so smooth and refreshing. Food presentation and taste is to be commended as it was prepared and not processed and rushed. Gammon was cooked to perfection, moist, tender and the size of a frisbee. Main salad meal (vege option) was bang on, even had fresh cut avocado in it. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Don't change.

Great classic style pub. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is decent for a really good price. Took advantage of the two for 12£ meal special on Sunday and it didn't disappoint. More of a drinking hole overall, they have lots of tvs with the live sports playing. But at the same time it's not too loud to have a meal and a conversation if sports aren't your thing.

This is in the classic old style pub. Lovely wooden facade behind the bar with all the spirits on display. Has seating at the bar or a dining style in another room. Good range of beers on tap and food is available. Live sports etc on TV. Friendly staff, great place to visit and unwind.

Absolutely loved this place. A great pub experience. The fish and chips was probably the best we had during our time in Scotland. And I ate fish and chips almost daily at a different place all throughout Scotland. Also the beer was exceptional and local brews were available.

This was our first place to eat in Scotland and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Plus we hasn't eaten a good meal in about 16 hours, so that made it all that much better. Friendly staff, and prices seemed fine to us. Plus I left my hat, came back 6 hours later and they had it in the back for me. So that was great too.

If your lucky enough to grab one of the few booths available then you get your own TV for the sport. We visited this place twice as it was close to our hotel and it was always busy. We ordered food on the 2nd visit and it was OK. We had Fish and chips. A decent size cod with skin on chips, lemon and tartare sauce. Good value too. Worth a visit if your staying close by.

The only thing that lets this belhaven pub down was the surely staff serving short measures on a persistent basis. Ordered 9 pints in our visit and everyone had a very extreme head of froth. Lovely pub, seems to be run by the same crowd as Shakespeare's, since they have the same amazing food deals, two meals for £12.99 on Monday to Thursday is definitely not to be sneered at. Quiet and quaint Victorian pub, part of the Taylor Walker chain. Often overlooked by visitors, but good menu, nice service, low level music and muted sky sports. Slightly pricey and worn in, but decent none the less. Always quick and easy to get served here.

Located in a quiet area on the North side of the city center, this is a "real" place, lacking the touristy feel, and not too crowded at all. We learned a bit from our bartender about alcohol regulations and how it affects beer quality, etc.

I was recently with a group of seventeen professional people who had gone to Edinburgh for a 'stag' weekend we were amazed at the amount of businesses that refused us entry because of the size of our group, we even tried to gain entry in smaller groups but they all contact each other by radio and we were still refused entry. The Grosvenor pub on the other hand welcomed us with open arms, they were very friendly offered good service and good food, so we made this pub our base and spent several hundred pounds there on drink and food, it's a pity they did not offer accommodation as well, if I ever go back to Edinburgh I would definitely visit them again.

Cosy, like a well-worn slipper (and slightly resembling one too) The Grosvenor is perfect for some quiet drinks with friends. Moments away from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street, it's a great bolthole when everything's just getting too hectic. Would have liked a greater selection of ales but they rotate their selection often so that makes up for it somewhat.
