If you are looking for something a bit different, Katie's Bar in John Street maybe the place for you. Going down from street level into a surprisingly large vaulted area. There are pool tables on the right hand side as you go in. There is a good variety of beers and at reasonable prices. It was quite empty when I visited but began filling up when the karaoke started.

What can I say, I love this place. It's excellent for a nice night out with no hassle whatsoever. The place is well kept and clean and staff at the bar are always kind. Definitely recommend to anyone that wants to have fun. And do not forget they also have a couple of pool tables, ask the staff if you want to use it.

My only reason for the 4 stars is the accessibility issue which I will of course say that I know it is not totally their fault for how the bullring is built. However I do feel as someone with mobility issues that stairs are fine if it’s once I’m in the building I’m comfortable however sadly in the case of Katie’s the toilets are down another flight of steps. Which causes an issue if you are there for an entire night. I understand that it’s not their fault but is it something to consider if the venue goes through renovations. In all other aspects everything is amazing staff are welcoming and friendly. I would really recommend this place

Nice bar, good prices but some staff need to work on customer service, big bloke behind bar Doesn’t know how to smile or be polite. Guy that was doing karaoke was a great singer but again quite arrogant and hasn’t a clue how to fade music or mix a track. Guy in glasses collecting glasses was friendly and always had a smile.

Amazing underground bar, great architecture and character. All staff were friendly and helpful! What a treat to visit on our first visit to Glasgow! Will definitely call in again when we go back!

Honestly this is one of my favourite bars in Glasgow - an inclusive space with a great atmosphere. Great choice of cocktails, and they have really good entertainment as well - thoroughly enjoy the karaoke and drag performances. The staff are impeccable and lovely, the service is fast even on busy nights and it's all around an amazing time every single time I've visited.

Cool place, it's split up on the same floor of pool table area, stage area, dance area, bar area and secret seating area. Staff are great, drinks are good, prices are good. It's nice to have a space for lgbtq+

It's a nice pleasant bar. The drinks weren't too expensive and there was a really fun drag act on when I went. The toilets we're really nice and clean and I enjoyed myself. I'd prefer if there was a bit more seating available, but otherwise it's a nice place to go

A nice, quirky bar, somewhat hidden from the beaten track. Very relaxed atmosphere, drinks are very reasonable and the staff are lovely. We stayed for the drag act and it was an absolute blast.

An interesting bar with a very eclectic mix of people, old and young, straight and overtly gay. They also boasted a dj who blasted out popular music atop a stage with a catwalk on which the girls who befriended me assured me there would be some cabaret later, unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to enjoy this. The service and beer were good and I was treated to some sambuco from the girls

The Heineken on tap was horrible, definitely go for cans or bottles! Also very disappointed with the very binary toilets. For an LGBTQ space, couldn’t you have more gender neutral toilets? But the music was superb.

Came in a Thursday for a hen night. They had a live singer on who was entertaining, the bar staff where super friendly and remembered our drinks orders from our first order. There are free soft drinks for designated drivers

office Christmas lunch We sat infront of the stage. by request. The afternoon entertainment was fantastic. The Christmas lunch was great value for money. the starters mains and puddings all got 5 stars. also catered for food intolerances. Gorgeous starter of a big slab of pate with all the trimmings. it looked loads but I managed it. The portion sizes were massive. carved thick turkey slices mountains of mash, roastes and vegetables. Jenna and Kathleen were great met our every need. defo coming back next year. thank you girls. The very happy table at the front. xx

Place seemed very nice but I don’t understand when queer spaces (especially those who host drag nights) don’t have gender neutral toilets. Please remove gender from toilets !
