P.Miss mash of tables, different heights making up a table for 4 🤔food was quick and BIG portions, although mostly of chips but to NOT have vinegar (wasn't in the delivery, apparently ), don't you know Sainsburys is over the road, a quid out of the till would be great. Hallumi fries not worth the price, 5 pieces for £3.99, NOPE won't be ordering them anytime soon.
G. S.Been coming here for years and recently they made the bar area dog friendly. Staff are always amazing and happy to get a bowl of water for the pup. Food is always cracking too, reccomend the pizzas and the carvery is always excellent. They also do carvery deliveries through just eat which is handy for a lazy Sunday. Great for youngsters too, our wee one loves playing in the park they have when it's suitable to use (weather permitting). Mel is always helpful and welcoming as are all the other staff.

They also went above and beyond to accommodate myself being vegetarian instead of being made to feel like a burden. Both the chef and the server were so lovely. The service was impeccable. M. W.Lovely wee pub. Carvery dinner was superb. Went for Christmas event. Meat was beautifully prepared and there was ample sides to accompany it. Servings were generous and prices amazing. Fully intend to return. Great stuff.
c.Went in for the carvery few weeks ago and was not disappointed. Friendly staff. You can sit-in takeaway or have it delivered.
Filled me up nicely and not too pricey.
Will definitely visit again.

S.I had a visit to the veven valy the place was busy when we arrived, so as it was my first visit we were unsure what to do , a young girl came over and welcomed us , was very pleasant and as us to follow her to a table for 4 , was very impressed with this girl ask if we wanted to order off the menu or the beautiful carver behind her , as we had driven a long way there was only one choice carver all day we replied, the young girl Kelsey young asked if we wanted a drink before we had food, we ordered our drinks and had our meal we all enjoyed our food clean plates all round and our visit won’t be our last to the leven valy , and a special thanks to Kelsey for make you day go smoothly will definitely be back

The one thing my partner and I were most displeased about were the soda drinks. £2 for basically a scoosh of some syrup and topped up with soda stream water, no garnish. Didn't look anything like the picture in the menu and if it was left for more than 10 seconds it tasted of crushed paracetamol dissolving in some water.
But yeah, drinks aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Full marks for all of the staff especially the manager but mostly for the young people in their 1st experience in working in a stressful environment. The young girl serving me at the carvery looked so nervous but she did a fantastic job. I complemented the girl on her professionalism and she looked so relieved to be praised. Guys remember that it's easy to stare and criticise but sometimes it's better to complement and actually tip than complain that your spuds were too cold instead of the overall value and taste of the meal. Don't forget that customers are the life blood of a body but the heart comes from the body which is the business. Keep it up guys you are heading the right way from top to everyone else the overall company should be proud of all of you . Well done

A. S.Really good value for money, carvery meal, soft drinks and coffee for three, just over £30. Food was good with good portions, service could have been a bit better they seemed to be operating with the bare minimum staff, that said we were dining at midday so perhaps evening is best.

C. M.Recently held a funeral function for my partner's mothers funeral. Staff were incredibly accomodating and took care of all of our guests. Everyone was served quickly and efficiently. Even after the hours of the wake itself my partner her dad and I decided to go back to the bar there for a few night time drinks. Staff remembered us all and made sure everything was to our liking. Made the day for the full family made the send off even better from the experience we had.

N.Food was tasty but service not great, first waiter guy was lovely but after that I was like okayyyy some training is needed here! To be told I know but im busy as a response when you ask where the rest of your tables food is (3 had almost finished their mains as would have been cold waiting), whilst serving the table next to us their starters ? Made zero sense and was highly rude on Xmas eve! I would go back for the food but not the service.

I came home for a visit after 2 yrs and friends took me here on my first night. Over the course of 5 days I was here on three occasion, all very enjoyable. Staff very helpful and friendly. & the manager (sorry I have forgotten his name) was an absolute delight. I will definitely be bk on my next visit

P. K.Not great to be honest, found a long brown hair in my carvery which put me off. My mothers fish and chips were not great either as she said it tasted strange. We have been in before and not had any problems and the staff are friendly so thats why its a 3 star review and not a 1. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

D. S.It gets 4 stars because it is good for folks with children and babies. It's spacious and the carvery is good. They do a 99p bowl which means can give your wee one plenty of veg (and a Yorkshire pud). Saves having to worry about heating any food. Staff are friendly and helpful (and this was on a proper wet and windy night). We didn't get round to trying pudding, the portion size was good enough for all of us!
A. M.We had very nice battered fish here. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked and the batter was perfectly crisp. The vegetables could have been a bit hotter and fresher, but this was during the festive season, so maybe this was not typical. At any rate, there was a good selection of veg and potatoes and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. Will definitely go back.
d. r.Last Saturday we decided to give the place a try after living away for several years. It was our regular eating place for years and started to decline each time they changed the theme of the pub / restaurant. It was 7.45 pm and it was dead with 2 tables occupied and there was a third but that appeared to be staff who , I would expect , had finished their shift.
Service very slow as 3 times an assistant went in the back to get the guy out to carve the meat. The only server who seemed to move the fastest and did most work was the one wearing a surgical boot Food okay but a warm plate would help. Quality and service is as you would say is what you paid for and that’s why it’s cheap.
Also changed days as all food was cleared away before 8.30pm! The restaurant and bar used to be jam packed so something is drastically wrong.
A friend picked us up and the first words he said was a fact that there are more staff working and sitting about than customers. Will not be in any hurry to visit again.

L. S.Sadly our visit 6 months ago wasn't up to previous standards. Ordered a carvery and fish n chips. Waited a while for fish, collected it when buzzer rang only to find no chips were ready. Ate the fish and 10 mins late chips were added to hotplate. Carvery meats were good but again there was a lack of potatoes and only one veg was available.

J. J.With covid restrictions in place when it's your tables turn you will be asked to go pick what you want from the carvery. It is served to you by the chief you just tell him/ her what you want. Service was slow when we went but staff friendly. Food was fresh and lovely

T. N.Turkey was that dry it tasted like powder and they had run out of peas, carrots & sprouts so stood there with a plate of food waiting for a good 5 mins on them bringing out more veg. The bowls of veg are big enough that as they start getting to a certain amount they should be putting more on so they don't run out. I wasn't the only person who was waiting, there was another 3 of us. Aside from this, the roast beef was good along with the cauliflower and roast potatoes. Just a shame about the turkey & lack of renewing the empty sides.

Carvery us good value. Outside okay area/ beer garden is neglected ie loads of weeds, litter.

Staff were friendly and we ordered our food no problem,and were told when ordering that the calzone that we ordered would take about 20-25 minutes. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for that and for a childs plain cheese and tomato pizza. UNACCEPTIBLE!!!! Far too long a wait on a childs meal. I would have possibly understood if the place had been busy,or on a friday or saturday night but it was pretty quiet. Dont think i will be returning. Should have gone to pizzaz hut or dominos. Staff were amazing though, cant fault them at all.

On arrival i spoke with a lovely elderly bar maid. She brought the female cook over to talk over my needs. I was so happy and felt very reasured by nicole and collette. They are both an asset to this company. Nothing was to much of a bother to them. They generally could not do enough to make sure my meal would be safe for me to eat. I would like to thank them for there excellent attention to detail. They provided me with excellent customer service. This really made my day. I would reccommend leven valley to my other ceoliac friends. Welldone.. from one happy customer.

F. P. P.Right! Where to start. If you want a carvery that's economic (average food at affordable prices) then this is the place for you and the family (complete with mini playpark) . On their menu half the selection they never actually stock. Especially vegan, veggie choices. Beware beware, the cheese from a tube they insist on putting on everything. Burgers, even nachos gets the synthetic cheese (if you can call it that) treatment. We asked the friendly bar staff (very politey) not to put it on our food but we wanted real cheese. The kitchen staff decided to put a complete cheese ban on us and we got a cheeseless buttermilk chicken burger(the burger itself being one of the best I've ever tasted!)

I had a party of about 40 booked in for 7.30 and the party in before me refused to leave... which left all my guests waiting about... but the staff had it under control in no time had us seated ... food was amazing drinks flowed and as a good gesture we got free dessert... which was very kind of Collette to arrange she was marvellous with the whole group that lady deserves a medal or a wee phone call from your head office would be amazing ..
