Stumbled avross this one as was heading to Wagamamma. Beer flight with 4 1/3 samples of any beer we wanted. Great advice from the bar tender. Beer list projected on the wall and you can see the beer colour from the display at the taps. Food not tested but pizza looked gooood.

Pizzas are nice. Staff are abit hit and miss. I asked for a cloth to wipe our table and the kitchen staff handed me a couple of paper towels! They add a service charge to all orders, but you have to pick up your own food and cutlery.... and wipe your own table?! Nice selection of beers, but i'd rather have friendly, attentive staff and a nice atmosphere. Not for me. Cul cuil around the corner was much nicer, and have vegan options too.

For me ticks all the right boxes. Very spacious with hip decor, freshly brewed beer on draft alongside an excellent selection of beers from elsewhere (mainly the UK), quality pizza made in house at a good price, nice choice of background music. Perhaps the staff could do with being a bit more chatty/extrovert as is usual in Glasgow (does somewhere offer courses in “the patter”?). Anyway this doesn’t matter as they are both attentive, efficient and friendly enough - which is the main thing as far as I’m concerned. Oh and the smell of actual beer brewing in the place is nice! All in all a great place for the beer lover. Keep doing what you’re doing.

This bar on West George Street in Glasgow city centre has had many guises under a variety of names. Its latest genesis is home of craft beers and for those who like a tipple there's a fair few to get through. I had a brew called Blond, which tasted like a witte bier from Holland or Belgium, and was excellent. A little pricey but for those who enjoy something a bit different in their beer, well worth a visit.

Recommended by a work colleague and didn't disappoint. Large selection of real ales, many brewed on the premises. One of the best wood fired pizzas I've had anywhere. Sorry, pizza looked amazing so forgot to take a picture before I started eating!

Wonderful bar to visit with an unprecedented choice of beers. If you are into your craft beer then this is definitely a place to visit. They're pizzas are all freshly made and so you never really need to leave before they throw you out at closing time! There are numerous tables available, which you can book in advance, but can also just use. Best pub for beer in Glasgow!

Beautiful bar architecture, owing to the building formerly being a bank (the toilets are in the old bank vaults). During summer months there’s a small outdoor area to sit at. Great range of drinks - rotating beer taps, including beers brewed on the premises. Good gin selection. They also make some pretty tasty pizzas, as well as dough twists, which are definitely worth trying. Special offer of a £5 pizza 12 ‘til 5 is a good one. 4 stars because the drinks can be pretty overpriced at times - £12.50 for a perfect pour gin was eye-watering, even if it is navy strength!

The Bar is huge, excellent architecture and decor. There is a vast range of different and unusual beers and real ales. Prices reasonable considering that it's a trendy city centre bar. The food looks amazing, although I haven't eaten there yet. Its a huge place so you can usually get a table fairly easily. We'll worth a visit - the staff are great and very friendly.

Great place for a drink and pizza. I was invited to sample a couple of different beers before deciding which to order. The bar staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers many of which are brewed on the premises. The pizzas were also delicious. I would definitely like to return to this place next time I'm in Glasgow.

Pizza was awesome, staff know their stuff and are very clear on allergens etc, as well as delivering an exceptional service. The whole place is absolutely spotless (especially the toilets). Good gin range. Some staff pair interesting garnishes, others don't bother. Goes without saying, a great beer range. Tasty pizzas, although could do with more vegetarian options on the menu, and they have never been QUITE as great as the first time I visited, just after this place opened. The building and space are beautiful, but the incessant branding being projected onto the walls is annoying. Some of the staff are grumpy and rude, one or two are lovely.

I've been to Shilling Brewing Co. a few times for drinks and it's definitely improving. The inclusion of their own draft range, including a few seasonal/ special craft beers is a nice touch and the quality of the beer is surprisingly good. The open beer hall style setting is a little bit sanitised, but for after work drinks it works quite well. The deep fried pizza dough sticks are decent too.

The Shillings Brewery Tour was fun, informative and great value for money. A flight of Shillings Brewed drinks, the tour, another pint after and a pizza all included. Chloe, our guide, did a great job of answering all questions and putting up with slightly drunken behaviour. Choice of drinks is incredible and the pizza is one of the best out there.

There's a huge range of craft beer available. It's not a hipster place and looks different to a regular craft place. It's a very nice conversion of a bank. The vaults are now the toilet. Loads of space and a high roif means it's not intimate or cosy. There's a dj on a Saturday but not playing music too loud. I think it is very expensive. Nearly six pounds for most of the beers. Staff are nice and helpful, though.

Staying in Glasgow for 3 nights with work...so glad I stumbled on this gem of a bar just a few hours into my first evening. Many real ale haunts are earthy and tend to cater for a male audience, yet I'd take a date here; looks like a wine bar and plays funky tunes, yet brews and serves excellent ales. Clientele are all very decent City types and the staff remembered me each evening - they were able to provide a host of tasting suggestions. Top it all off with inexpensive pizza from a wood fired oven and I can't see anything to improve. Well done SBC...when will you be opening in Leeds or Manchester (please)?

I'll start by saying I drink here every week, and have done for years. Great atmosphere and beer selection and top pizza, but unfortunately going downhill quick... Prices are way above other craft beer pubs for the same beer and most of the original staff that really knew their stuff have moved on. The management have recently decided they can serve anything over 5% ABV as a 2/3, 1/2 or 1/3, and still charging £5+! As a result the clientele are changing, and not for the better. Perhaps the management should think about what will happen when they loose craft beer enthusiasts for punters who would just as soon have a Peroni or Rekorderlig (you'll then be competing with every other bar in the city centre). Don't loose your USP and stop taking the mik on your measures and prices...

Very cool building. Good place, they serve the beer they brew on site. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The beer was good. The food was tasty, but the calzone i ordered really should have been hot (or at least warm) in the middle, but it still tasted great.

Absolutely cracking place: if you like good keg beer then I don't think there's anywhere better in central Glasgow. The range is excellent and, most importantly, it's well kept and fresh.
