What an excellent find!! We were looking for somewhere to eat on our way back from Edinburgh and gave this place a try. The whole experience was faultless from start to finish, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely excellent (and really good value) and the beer was marvelous as well. Highly recommended and will definitely be using this place again. We had the Scotsman burger (Angus burger with black pudding& haggis) Mac& cheese, steak& ale pie. We also saw another table having the cocktail tower which looked REALLY impressive and tempting 😁

Visited here this week for a bite to eat. I had the Steak, my partner had a Burger, both were absolutely gorgeous! Honestly it’s the best lunch we’ve had in a while, and we eat out a lot… The lady who served us was warm and welcoming, really kind and friendly. We finished off the afternoon with a game of pool, yep they have a little pool table as well. Would definitely recommend. We are looking forward to coming back, thanks for a great experience.

Excellent night at the Foresters, my group of 11 thirsty and hungry rugby men were looked after very well. The food was very good and well worth the money. I have no problems recommending this pub/restaurant.

Many thanks to Lara and staff for an excellent lunch. We had the sharing roast platter for 2 and were unable to finish the spread - roast pork, beef, gammon, half a chicken, a selection of veg and Yorkshire pudding. Lara provided 2 take away containers (both required) to take home what was left. Unfortunately we had no space left for dessert - hopefully next time we'll sample that 👍.

A strange place which doesn't seem to have decided quite what it is. It looks promising but some decor gives mixed messages. It was very quiet the day we visited so service was good. We opted for fish and chips from the small menu and, to be honest we have had better. It was on the greasy side although the fish itself was delicious. Worth a stop.

Great food and service. Varied menu for all tastes. Good deals on different nights. Recently renovated outside and inside. Cocktail bar, bar and restaurant. Abby and Emma were excellent, friendly and helpful.

Small, friendly,local pub with good choice of drinks and interesting menu for restaurant. Have to check opening hours because they change depending on day. Staff extremely helpful. We loved our visit!

Visited The Foresters on Thursday to have afternoon pints. The barmaid Lara (?) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. As OAPs we had braved the walk across the busy A68 & very narrow walkway on the bridge into Pathhead from our hotel. My wife was very worried about the walk back.... Lara was about to finish her shift and kindly offered to give us a lift. Thank you Lara your kindness & help was above and beyond! Without say.... the service was great and bar welcoming.
