Passed this place plenty of times eventually booked for lunch. Absolutely lovely food. And nice polite staff. My sister and I will go there again. My sister and I have been to the Goat inn for Sunday lunch. Really nice veg cooked just perfect.forgot to take pic of the Welsh lamb.

We had a large family meal here. They took a large order and got everything right. Although he portions where small and when we wanted dessert, half of the dessert options where not available so most of us didn't get a dessert. Also it is VERY warm in there so had to sit outside for a little while to stop feeling sick. The staff where polite and helpful and really kind. Would recommend as there is a lovely place for the children to play outside and very clean and tidy

Beautiful location in lovely old building. Old fashioned menu for good prices. The food is good, the staff are not so good. Lots of very young girls in the staff who havent got a clue what working in hospitality means. Been here on several occasions and every time the same experience, so at least consistent.

Went to this pub last night and had the most delicious braised lamb in a redcurrant sauce gravy. Everything about the dish was perfect for me. The lamb was beautifully cooked and tender, the chips were shaped nicely and the gravy was just fantastic. Importantly for me, everything was piping hot which I love. Congrats to this chef and team. The welcome was warm and the service was attentive and pleasant. Heartily recommend.

We were on our way back to Llandudno from Porthmadog, and saw this restaurant and pulled in. Lovely welcome from gentleman who managed to find us a table Excellent Restaurant We both had a lovely meal, freshly cooked, and tastiest food we have had whole holiday, first class service from all staff, just a pity so far away from were we are staying, or we would have eating her every night rest of our holiday. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This is a beautiful, traditional country pub with wood beams and built from stone. Good selections of drinks especially the unicorn Ale for myself and pink gin for the better half. The food was exceptional from start to finish, and the service was attentive but not over the top. Will definitely return to this great all around experience.

Staying in Criccieth and all town restaurant were full. We were looking for somewhere for a birthday dinner setting. Recommended to try the Goat Inn. It's over a 10 minute drive up windy country lanes to get to on the other side of a main A road. Building nice old world setting. Food was OK but... Drinks order taken and no follow up to see if we wanted anymore drinks Service was slow. They lost our order starters arrived after manager appologised for the problem. Another long wait till main courses arrived Braised Lamb and Gammon Steak. I think the small ramakins of veg and mash potatoes had been microwaved as too hot to handle, no serving spoons offered After another long wait asked if we wanted to see the desert menu. Never arrived so we asked for the bill and the menu was then offered (too late). Mentioned to the guy taking the money mumbled " will get the matter looked at". Tables been laid for next day server handled the eating end of every utensil not good. 2.1/2 hours for a simple dinner not good

We visited this restaurant on 21/8/21 on a family holiday to Wales staying at the Hafan Y Mor Haven Site, as we were a large party of 11 I had called the restaurant to book a table and we also had to pre order our food in advance, we did however make some changes when we arrived. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was very well presented and smelled and tasted amazing! If we return to North Wales in the future we would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Starters are not worth the money. 2 chicken wings for about £7?! Had butterfly garlic and herb chicken and it was the tiniest piece of chicken I have ever been served with the biggest knob of garlic button on top. £5 for a pint of Birra Moretti too. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived by the very friendly staff. We then had a lovely meal which was beautifully presented and piping hot. Even though the restaurant was exceptionally busy the staff, (particularly Lewis) still took the time to explain the menu and choices available. The atmosphere was relaxing. There was background music but this was not at an intrusive level. We will be returning for meals in the future.

Great traditional pub food. We ate here mid-week in the summer holidays and booked on the day. It's a good job we did as it was busy when we arrived, and I'm not sure we would have got a table otherwise. The lamb shank was delicious and the steak and kidney pie from the specials was excellent too (great gravy on both!).

We were staying at the lovely Bron Rhiw Guest House in Criccieth run by Andy & Tina Croot who suggested we try The Goat Inn, we managed to book a table for 4 on Sunday evening and we were not disappointed, 2 of us had steak which was cooked just how we like it and 2 of our party had salmon. All meals well presented and very enjoyable. Thank you The Goat Inn.

Good roast meal on Sunday, three course £17.95, with good selection of beers and gin too. We're holidaying and couldn't get that deal and quality back home. Serve the roast between 12 and 2, but don't forget to book in advance, very popular with the locals so that's a good sign alone.

NOT WHAT I WOULD CALL VALUE FOR MONEY!! Had a meal at The Goat Inn the other night, the pub had a warm & cozy ambiance despite being quite busy. The food was pleasent enough, what you would expect from a small country inn menu. However I found The Goat Inn to be very over priced for what it was. For example the fillet steak dish which came in at about £23, you had to then pay extra for some peppercorn sauce & a shocking £2.20 for a tiny bowl of garden peas! I have had meals in places that have been far better than this but not as highly priced, for this reason I don't think Id eat out at the The Goat Inn again!

Been coming here for the last 10 years or so and the food has been (pretty much aside from probably one occasion) consistently excellent, and the staff all very nice. The menu is very typical pub grub e.g. lasange, fish and chips, but it's nicely cooked and homemade vs. larger chain restaurants. I'd highly recommend if you're a meat-eater the steak and Guinness pie, and their specials (which changes frequently) as a vegetarian - there's always something to try. They often do nice fish, too. Other things on the menu like the curries are a little more bogstandard.

Tried this place just because I had seen it on passing. The goat inn is along a main road so it is easy to find. There was obviously a problem in the kitchen at the time as we had to wait over an hour for the food. Service was aware of the delay and offered a round of complimentary drinks. When the food arrived it was very good and a genourous portion size. I was so full after just a main course. Lamb shank was £15 Steak was £20 other dishes were £10 - £15.
