C. S.Fantastic evening celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday, the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble even with some last minute changes at our meal for 33. The food was of its usual high standard with everyone commenting on the quality and portion sizes, reasonable prices too. Thanks for making it a great evening!

R. T.Visited recently for an evening meal. Somewhat limited opening hours and restricted menu when compared to previous visits but due to Covid19 I guess? Likely things will improve once the restrictions are lifted. The food was pleasant enough and served by cheerful staff. Prices average or a little higher than similar venues. Atmosphere a bit flat but again due to limited numbers and the virus this was to be expected. All in all a decent place to eat.

a. g.Love the Torrance Inn. Their salads are amazing as is all their food. Family run business and they are all so friendly. Advisable to book a table as it is a very popular place. Lovely decor and as well as the normal menu they also have daily specials. I'd advise any one to go here.

Staff tried their best to keep up with everyone as we had a big crowd to celebrate a birthday but felt as though they were under pressure and they were impatient with the kids that were playing. I understand they have a job to do but service with a smile goes along way.

We always return as it is the best place locally for fresh, honest home made cooking in an environment that is spotlessly clean (including loos) and tastefully decorated. Staff are always smartly presented, friendly and courteous. Delicious individual flavours can be identified in each dish, food is always beautifully presented (salads are particularly lovely) perfect portions and always tasty and piping hot. The chefs here have absolutely nailed it. Good value too. We always recommend the Torrance Inn and always return.

J. O.We go quite often as the menu is varied, plentiful and very well presented. I seldom drink alcohol there as I am usally driving but did last week as I had a lift and noticed it was a very healthy measure which was a pleasant surprise as nowadays you can hardly taste the alcohol. My daughter had a prawn salad and it was so beautifully presented it was a shame to disturb it

M.Food was lovely/fresh/tasty. We thought the pricing was acceptable. Pity there's not enough parking spaces. Would have preferred that the tv behind us was turned off as it is only natural that people will watch it, was a bit awkward as we kept thinking we were being watched eating. But we will go back as the food was delicious. Only next time we will wait for a table that is not in front of the tv.

J. R.Today was the first time i had visited The Torrance Inn. I didn't know what to expect so i was pleasantly surprised. It was very fresh, clean and somewhat modern. The food was excellent, well worth the wait. I felt my drink, a soda water and lime, didn't have enough lime in it and was a bit flat but the waitress got me another one and it was fine. Definitely worth a visit 😊
I. K.My friend and I went at lunchtime on Friday to the Torrance Inn for a quick snack. That's exactly what we got, (a quick snack). The staff were very attentive and took on board that we only had a small window of time between appointments. The best thing was the food was fresh and delicious. Well done Torrance Inn. Issy king
L. R.Famous for attractive large salads. Always busy because it's always good. Lost a star because *on this occasion* we waited too long for the food. Still a family favourite eaterie.

G. B.Food was ok, if you like fruit in your chicken salad. However, we waited 40 minutes for 2 salads and it wasn't that busy. There was a young man behind the bar chewing his fingernails for a good 5 minutes and it was this young man that brought our plates to the table. I hope he washed his hands. Put me off eating the fruit around the edge of my plate. After asking same young man for the bill, he had to be reminded 15 minutes later that we were still waiting on the bill.

H. M.Been going to the Torrance inn for ages now for bar lunches. Menu changes recently has reduced appeal for me-they took the beautiful salads off-which is a pity because it is a friendly and handy place for meals plus drinks.
These menu changes were not needed it would have been better to renovate the pub as the decor is dated and some of the fittings flooring and furniture are shabby.
The changes to the menu will cost them some punters, would have been wiser to close over winter to renovate the pub to better standard as it is quite old and tired now. Those windows in the bar area don't half let in the draught...brrr!
