Reviews of Three Judges
R. C.
Some great beer choices. Good, enjoyable pub atmosphere.
K. F.
A proper pub. One of the best in Glasgow if not the best.
Friendly staff who have always been accommodating to me when trying to get a seat in the current Covid climate.
Always a great selection of Guest Ales on as well.
Recommended.
C. R.
Easily the Greatest Pub by in the Northern hemisphere (well, certainly in Glasgow, if not the whole of Scotland). An ever changing selection of hand pumped and draught ales makes it the one traditional pub offering something new to tempt your taste buds every week!
Grab a raised corner seat and look out to the bustling interchange of Byres Road and Dumbarton Road...trust me, the things you can see will remain in your memory forever🤓
Busy, yet also quiet, popular with the people who just want a peaceful drink and catch up with friends.
Great staff, great beer, great memories 5/5
K. M.
First visit since 2009/10. Comfortable atmosphere. Selection of lager to my taste. Local to continental. Situated like the name states when you leave. N,E,W. Go see for yourself. Personally I enjoy all 3
j. m.
Excellent afternoon..Mike Dean's jazz Quintet. Such a brilliant band. Good crowd. Beer choice was great. Recommend Punk IPA. Staff really helpful.
A. L.
With an excellent location in the heart of Glasgow's West End, Three Judges is one of the best pubs in the entire world and is certainly my favourite bar in Glasgow. The atmosphere is always great, the staff are attentive, friendly and extremely welcoming, and the turnover of different unique ales is astonishing. They literally have something new to taste each and every week. Amazing place with a guaranteed good time to be had by anyone who goes to this fabulous establishment.
A. K.
Great pub with great beers. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly and knowledgable stuff.
Always nice to be at the Judges for the Jazz or the quiz night.
N. c.
Brilliant pub , small cozy with a great selection of beer on tap, fantastic staff , spotless toilets, well worth a visit
D. P.
I'm around this boozer literally every day , work and social, cuttin' round the West End , but rarely in. Coupla IPAs on the way home. Apparently is a big deal , for guest beers/real ales...
S. D.
The food served here is piping hot and good to eat. It is also reasonably priced.
m.
A traditional and classic British style watering hole in the west end of Glasgow. The main plus points are the that the staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable (especially by west end of Glasgow standards), a regular live music on Sundays and the atmosphere is lively, but not so lively that it's too much.
B. C.
Small, cosy pub in the heart of Partick and very handy for Byres Road, just across the road. Staff are very friendly with a good selection of draught beers and spirit choices on offer. Prices are very reasonable for the West End of the city with draught beers and stouts at around £4.20 a pint. The Three Judges does not serve food although there are plenty of places to eat just outside its doors. Toilets are small but clean and functional. There is plenty of public transport just outside the door. The bus stop is but a few steps away and Partick subway station is just across the road..
H.
Ooo plum porter.. But no, had Stewart 80/- traditional Scottish heavy, excellent condition if a little pricey. I had the Kingston black cider 7.5% only had half, took a wee while to go down 😜
M. M.
Cracking wee pub with genuine teak bar , fantastic selection of Real Ales and Award winning for its Ciders . Down to earth Staff and Prices. The 3js where everybody knows your name. A Gem in the West End.
S. T.
Excellent pub. Great selection of ales. Helpful staff.
D. W.
Great traditional Glasgow pub. A large number of fine Ales and beers for reasonable prices. I particularly like the Stella, always cold and lively.
Angela the Manageress, and her staff are extremely efficient, and always give you a warm welcome.
I recommend this little gem of a pub to anyone visiting the West end.
F. B.
Great wee pub and the food is amazing good prices too the staff very friendly
A. H.
Excellent choice of beers, especially guest beers. Fine service, good friendly place.
A. M.
Great pub for everyone to go to, what else do you need in life, . I took your advice Angela and corrected my previous description :-)
I. H.
Had a great time catching up with some mates, bar staff friendly as usual & service was good.
K. G.
Lovely wee pub, great prices. Can't wait to return
A. L.
A very nice wee landmark pub in the heart of Glasgow. Nice atmosphere, pleasant surroundings, steeped in tradition.
m. d.
Another very good bar with good bar staff and friendly atmosphere
S. M.
Great local boozer.. The service was excellent. Friendly welcoming staff...
M. M.
Good pub. Good beer, nice selection. TV was on but able to talk without shouting. A relaxed atmosphere to enjoy.
B. M.
Clean pub good pint all that is missing,it a smile 😃 bar staff
H. B.
Great wee bar at the bottom of byres road and what a selection of beers and ales. Nice touch were the sample jars showing if it is a light or dark beer also great Christmas decorations. It was Christmasssssssssss!!!!! 😊
J. C.
Small pub in the heart of Partick. Generally, a good place to settle for a quick pint or two before moving on.
Staff warm and friendly.
Get yourself a corner window seat and watch the world go by.....🤓
M. M.
Lovely pub, just to busy and noisy for me.
C. C.
Great beers! Great pub
W. A.
What can you say about this place, it has always been here, has a good selection of ales . Their Lager is excellent. Mostly a locals pub. At the moment probably better prebooking a table
S. F.
Best pub in Glasgow. Great choice of beer and cider, great staff, great atmosphere - always a pleasure to visit.
J. B.
Great atmosphere, great selection of Beers, good staff interaction's.
L. H.
A really nice pub, bar tenders are always friendly and the beer is cheap (for the area) and good. I enjoy it every time I visit. Good for ale/porter/stout fans who like trying new pints as they always have something new on tap
M. K.
They have some good beers
T. A.
Corner pub on a bezey junction.got lots of character beer good
J. B.
One of the best places to meet and chat with friends, not just in Partick, but in the whole of Glasgow. No TV, no loud music, no football colours, just peace, quiet and a very good choice of craft beers. The staff are pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable about beers. What more could you ask for?
N. P.
This is my local pub, lovely bar, lovely staff and lovely beer!!!
J. G.
Great traditional pub with a good selection of guest ales and ciders.
D. R.
Great beer selection and always a relaxed atmosphere.
R. S.
My favorite pub in Glasgow. Always a good solid ale selection, single malts, friendly staff as well as fellow patrons. I also appreciate the fact one can bring food from outside and eat it there as you drink some fine ales.
J. L.
A traditional Glasgow pub worth a visit if you are in the area. Good selection of real ales and craft beer and good place to stay for an hour or two.
B. M.
Laid back, good staff, great pub.
A. R.
Great choice of real ales, the 2 i tried were both perfect. All ales are labelled and with tasters on display showing the color from lights to dark ales. Friendly locals at the bar. Not a food place. Had a TV on the wall. Top notch food at Celinos Italian just short walk away.
J. M.
Great traditional West end bar. Angela runs a tight ship with great staff and a wide selection of beers and lagers. One of the cheaper places in the west end and a good mix of people and ages.
S. C.
We love the three judges, so called because of a link with an old boxing club...get it?
Famous for its real ale guest selection listed by number on the blackboard. Top tip, you order using the number, three pints of number 2 and a pint of 6 please!
Old school landlord with great knowledge and top class courteous service.
Not many seats but plenty of high tables for your beer. Always a nice place to stop even on your own.
J. G.
Absolutely excellent selection of real ales. Frequent rotation and you can rely on them to do great beer festivals too. Cosy, welcoming atmosphere and middle of the road prices. A favourite
S. H.
Nice and clean. nice atmosphere with friendly barman. will be back soon
C. I.
Good ale, for real ale fans go, as a pub it lacks that certain something to give it that extra 10% that makes it the place to go. To be fair it doesn't have enough heart to make it a truly memorable pub.
A. F.
Great wee pub, staff provide great service, friendly atmosphere, definitely be back
T. C.
One of Glasgow's institutions..a must visit if you like good ale.
T. S.
Good local pub. No food. Big appeal is the real ales that change daily. Good bar staff with help with your choice and offer a small taster to help you decide. Busy at the weekend. Probably not a place for a first date although live jazz on occasions
J. D.
A classic real ale pub with strong CAMRA connections. It has a large rotating cask ale list. A solid boozer. The service is very professional and fast. I would like to see a more modern craft ale selection.
J. N.
Great for Real Ale
G. B.
Lovely traditional wee pub with good character. Fine range of real ales at prices expected of the area. Also enjoyed several visits during the Sunday afternoon live jazz sessions.
L. R.
Really good pub at Partick Cross. Not a modern type, more beer & floorboards. No food which is a bonus as no smell of chips & vinegar. Enjoy these pubs as they might all soon be gone..
N. N.
Great selection, Scottish pub 👌 really good feel
K. W.
Not so big but plenty of character. A selection (~8) of guest ales and a cider that change each week. Usual lagers of the region available and a selection of German bottled beers. Definitely worth a visit.
C. Y.
One of the best pubs in Partick if not the Westend. A good selection of drinks, all at a fair price. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well, especially the young fella with the pony tail.
C. H.
Good range of ales.
D. E.
This is a pub. No music (or at least very quiet background music), staff knowledgeable about what they sell (beer/cider/spirits) and a real sense of being in a venue/place that is fit for purpose - real ale, cider, specialist beers in venue that knows it's clientele.
M. J.
A straight up pub selling great ales, lagers and other drinks at sensible prices. Pleasant staff and friendly punters. It's a pub. A good one
H. N.
Never going to be a regular haunt but there is decent selection of beer and I have never had a bad Pint here. Popular place with all ages and use good choice for the Kelvinhall stop on the Clockwork Orange pub crawl.
D. W.
Great selection of beers and ales. Sorry the five stars it should have been. Have been back a few times and fully deserved.
S. G.
One of Glasgows fine institutions for the art of craft been and fine ales. Always new tastes to cater for and casks can change while your ordering your pints, so keep an eye on the board!
Recent banishment for those doing the Glasgow Underground drinking scheme, too noisy and too spinthrift!!
Once a month Jazz on a Sunday for those with no or thinning hair, coooool!!
Highly recommended for the craic and patter of Glasgow, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
G. M.
Enjoyed pints. Shame i hadn't go offended for a pint since gov lower on drink drive limit. Nice to see bar again. Maybe next time with my parents
G. R.
Favourite bar in the world though new owners now and not so good. Stonegate I think. But maybe me just being grumpy. Tasty real ales. 4 stout type ones last week which I don't like. Rather odd to have such an imbalance. Place to go for real Glasgow. West end types, camra members and office workers.
S. M.
Quant pub with a great vibe. Hosts pub quiz every Monday night
K. S.
Ended a reunion afternoon pub crawl down Byers Rd at The Three Judges before heading into centre for the evening. 30 years since I was last in this pub. Great to see it still going strong!!!
J. W.
Nice and welcoming, great real ale, didn't serve food but said was welcome to eat brought in sandwich. Enjoyed visit after long morning at museum.
D. A.
Old favourite bar at the bottom of Byers Rd. Been a long standing place to go and always good quality. Prices are fantastic. Got a Peroni for well under £4
A. O.

D. H.
Camra award winning selection of real ales. Great atmosphere and brilliant jazz band on Sundays. A west end institution
A. S.
An ok pub. No music, so just a rabble of voices you hear. 3 different couples came in with dogs so it's dog friendly! This pub offers food.
t. s.
Great atmosphere and excellent service. I'll definitely return here
S. F.
One of the best real ale pubs in the city. Great selection of beers and very helpful staff.
J. D. S.
