Reviews of Queens Head Longford

This was my first visit. A relative who lives just around the corner said it was a good eatery so we booked a Family table. It didn't disappoint. Their menu isn't huge, (which I'm pleased about) as some establishments fail whilst trying to do too much. A selection of six starters is enough. The steak & ale pie is the biggest I've seen, I had stuffed chicken and the light desserts compliment the ample mains. The staff that night were attentive and professional, and the low lighting and decor adds to the warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Travel the country on a weekly basis and can honestly say one of the nicest Pubs I have found.
Lovely family pub always a great welcome and a nice Atmosphere..
If you are a Pie man like myself then this is the place for you.
Pie of the week is always phenomenal but be aware its massive.
Again tonight the Steak and Ale pie is in my top 3 pies of all time. The other 2 were also here🤣.

I drove over an hour just to have the famous Longford lamb. Third time that I did this and it did not disappoint.
Price wise the food is not cheap but it's worth it. Drinks are reasonably priced.
I recommend it.

My first visit here with family that I was visiting. Had the featherblade beef meal. Absolutely beautiful. The meals are quite large so didn't have room for a starter or dessert. Inside has the dark oak beams and an old world feel about it. Highly recommended.

Excellent food within a comfortable setting, spoilt by mediocre service.
The gathering was for 8 with a 1.30 start.
No mention was made at the time of booking that the kitchen would be closed at 2pm. No puddings or coffee were offered and much dissapointment was felt.

Excellent pub with a chic, modern look. Staff are really friendly and attentive - feel like a local right away. Food portions very generous and tasty! My new firm favourite!
