Friendly staff been here before and food was much better, this time the burger was a bit tasteless and served in a cold and white bun (I’m being critical for the cheapest burger over £10). Plenty of chips but they were slightly undercooked. Think I’ll steer from the place for food in the future which is a shame

Been here a few times with friends and by myself. The service is prompt and friendly, and the decor and ambiance feels more modern & welcoming than many places in Gloucester. You could take a wide range of people here, I’d recommend it for afternoon/evening drinks with friends or colleagues. A little too casual to be a solid date spot in my opinion. Food and drink: I am not a beer lover so can’t comment on that aspect - it’s owned by a local brewery. If like me you don’t like beer they have a really nice medium dry cider. The vegan burger is good (albeit huge), and the sweet potato chips were excellent. I do feel if they had a spicy mayo/aioli or a similar sauce that would be better than ketchup but if that’s the main complaint, it’s a good sign :)

Came here numerous times and loved it! The staff were absolutely fantastic, welcoming and very friendly. A big shout out and huge thank you to you all... Nick (a real legend), Connor (manager..nudge nudge, wink, wink...say no more 🤫😉), Millie, Bailey, Louisa and Jovan (this fragrance is named after you "Jovan Musk for Men"..a real classic, try it). You are all stars and your boss/the owner has some real gems of people in all of you, well done all...!! 👊👏👏 What a fantastic place and their burgers and pizzas looked so delicious too. Maybe next time we'll pop over for a lunch or dinner and have one of these.... I guess the staff got to know me after a few visits and even took my better half for a wee Rhubarb and Ginger gin which she absolutely loved! (All these gins are made at their Gloucester Brewery and Gin Distillery) What great real ales and first proper cask ales I've had in a very long time. Their Gloucester Brewery and Fox Gin distillery is a short walk away over the bridge on the other side of the docks basin. Definitely worth a visit as you can buy all the ales or gin at the Brewery shop. (A visit to here is a must!) The only other inhouse and onsite Brewery I know of is in Market Drayton, Shropshire. I had the Cascade Red ale which was great and fresh: Gloucester Brewery – Cascade – 4.2% – Red Bold aroma of spicy & floral hops over a perfectly balanced biscuit malt base But my absolute favourite is the Dockside Dark Porter!! Gloucester Brewery - Dockside Dark – 5.2% – Porter Velvety smooth and subtly sweet award-winning porter with a gorgeous aroma of coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. I highly recommend this pub, restaurant, Brewery....the decor throughout is stunning and so vibrant and with it, no stuffy or dated decor here at all... Thanks to YOU ALL for making us and me especially feel totally welcomed and so at home... Amazing place, amazing staff and amazing perfectly kept and chilled real cask ales, great Gins and delicious food..!!! 👍👊

Great beer. This is the Gloucester Brewery, established in 2011. Large selection of cask ales brewed by themselves. Award winning beers. Ever changing selection of great guest beers. Wines, spirits, great selection of gins. They also serve great food. The service is polite and friendly. They are very willing to provide advice on the selection of beers. Great atmosphere. Visit any day of the week. One of my favourite places in Gloucester.

Great place normally a must to visit with a wide selection of drinks. The venue it's self is clean and quiet modern and well cared for. The let down hopefully a one of experience was a member of staff who was extremely rude who kept moving us around the restaurant because we couldn't stand at the bar, at the end of the bar, next to a table or by the door which by that point we put our drinks down and left. Suggestion if you have a limited capacity manage the door with staff.

Good lunch had here, went for the salmon and cream cheese toastie. Not too busy when we arrived, so slightly subdued atmosphere. The ale selection was very varied, opted for a nice light pale ale which went well with the food choice. Daughter had a pizza which I was told was lush!

Interesting beer pub, food menu has some good options and they have a different deal on every day. Wednesday was a pizza and pint for a tenner. Decor is comfortable and slick. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station and it's also by the river.

No better place to be after the Gloucester half marathon! Great beer selection and nice outdoor seating - definitely helped me recover from the race! Can’t attest to the food as it was really busy when I wanted to eat, but that gives me the impression that the food is as good as the beer.

Went here with a large group on a Saturday night. We were given a perfect table in the corner, and really attentive service kept the booze coming. The bar staff were excellent. Plenty of selection of spirits (lots of rum), but also a great choice of cask ales and keg beer. Really impressed. Not likely to be back in the area myself, but would recommend.

I had a lovely lunch with my family at Tank. With Covid restrictions still rattling about there were just two draft ales on. I had the Session Pale and it was fab. So good I had two. But it was lunch time. I have only given 4 stars as the 2 pizas we had were a bit over done. My pulled pork fries and the two burgers were spot on though. Don't go out much, so bemused by the no cash policy and having to say what table you are at on an early evening, when actually quieter than my earlier visit. Probably the best bar in the area though.

Lovely place. I had some Gloucester Brewery cider (litetally brewed a stone's throw away), and it was one of the best ciders I've ever had. Polite, tentative staff always working hard to keep the place really clean and plenty of seating. It's a bit on the small side however, which can make getting around the place and holding a full glass of beer without being knocked and spilling it a bit challenging.

We always enjoy a pint here. It's not huge but that is what I like, it has great selections of Ales and beers. Myself and my partner often enjoy a plate of food and a few drinks. We are certainly missing this place during lockdown!

Favourite little bar to visit when I go to Gloucester. They offer thirds of pints so you try 3 of any of their range from the Gloucester brewery which is located just over the canal. Nice comfy atmosphere, seating is at a premium at busy times but an ideal spot to stop for a drink in between shopping. Perfect location during the Christmas Market. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful if you're undecided on what ales etc to order. Tasters are always offered if you're really unsure just remember your manners as it's gets very busy at the bar.

Good selection of food for what appears at first glance to be all about the local ales and ciders. Great vegetarian selection too, and at a reasonable price. Just the simple margherita pizza was so tasty and full of flavour, I will certainly be back to try some of the other options. Staff seemed very knowledgeable about the beer and cider on offer which was really great to see too.

This is our favourite pub in Gloucester. It serves up locally made beer in several different styles, keeping some old favourites and rotating others with more seasonal choices and some guest brews. It reminds me of an Indie Bar like you might find in the US. The food is also quite excellent - they have cheese boards if you're in a sharing mood and their pizzas and burgers are up among the best you can get in Gloucester among restaurants I've tried. I definitely recommend TANK.

Food is top quality as well - the burgers are made with delicious meat, and the option of adding cheese and meats from the charcuterie menu is a really nice touch. Have been in here a few times for drinks only and love it! Great selection of proper ales, beers and lagers from various breweries across the world. My personal favourite is the German Pilsener. Décor is very industrial and in fitting with the docks and local surroundings. Pints are too expensive so pretty decent value and a great atmosphere at weekends and weekday evenings.

Nice local ales, friendly staff and we'll maintained interior. They accept contactless cards and apple/android pay. The food is nice but I would go there for the drink as the menu is small (cheeseboard, cured meats and pizzas). The pizzas are very filling.

Great Selection of real ales and nice decor. My visit was totally let down by the indecent wait for our food to arrive. When ordering we heard a fellow customer complain about waiting 45 mins for their food. The bar staff that took our order told us that it was a 30 -45 min wait for food even though the pub wasn't that busy. Apparently there was only one kitchen staff member at work, which surprised me as it was a public holiday at a busy shopping outlet mall. Out of six of us, three meals arrived in ten minutes but bizzarely the remaining three arrived 30 mins later, even though it was pizza and a salad. When our meals arrived I noted that there was a lot of rocket covering our pizza which 'surprisingly' was concealing a rather well done (slightly burnt in places) offering. In short I think that there are better places to eat at Gloucester Docks and I won't be going back unless its for the real ale.
