K. M.We showed up unannounced with 40 people and they accommodated us for food and drink. They're also dog friendly. It's on the canal with a nice easy walk nearby we did to let them prepare for 40 people.

T. G.Went for Sunday lunch yesterday and had an excellent meal, with first class service! I had beef, my wife had lamb, and both meals were excellent. We shared a dessert, Forest fruits Eton mess, with ice cream, and that too was very tasty. We have eaten there before, a few times, and every time it has been very good, very welcome. Thoroughly recommended.

Food was very good with generous portions and great flavour. Salad was 10/10, my first impression of the burger was 6/10 but hidden is all the great flavour to make it 9/10.
All staff super friendly and polite with a big smile all the time.

T. H.Been here a couple of time now when we have stayed over in Gloucester. Nice quite country pub, relaxing atmosphere with nice view from dining area. We've had the beer battered fish and chips both times we have been as it is delicious!!!
And very reasonably priced too. Will be visiting again next month.

j. n.Great stopover in our mh, friendly staff and very accommodating menu looked basic but good and the meals coming out looked really good. Husband had the curry which was very nice I had pie of the day when it arrived it was a black hard lump I refused it and the young lady soon sorted it out and within 5mins had another meal came out and the pie was delicious and lots of apologies and offer of a free dessert. Would still come here again as now has live music and everyone very helpful and friendly and my complaint dealt with very swiftly. It's a lovely spot to come to and relax or have a walk
C. S.I took my mum here for a belated mother's Day lunch. It was lovely overall.
We had a window seat with good views of the canal. The food was top notch, much better than your standard pub, although the atmosphere was noticeably pub-like.
It was also very quiet, which surprised me but was certainly suitable for us.
My only small gripe was booking a table was a bit tricky...the online form didn't seem to work and when I called in, they said they were too busy to take the booking. I had to email the details. Not the best but didn't have any impact on the overall experience and given how quiet they were, I likely wouldn't bother booking next time.
Overall very happy, I would highly recommend!
