T. R.Truly beautiful carvery enjoyed by all in our party. We decided on Sunday dinner over the bank holiday weekend and had been wanting to try Lambwath for quite some time. As family were visiting, we booked a table online for 6 an hour ahead and we're glad we did! We had a short wait to eat as one of our party asked for nut roast, which is cooked to order, and we wanted to eat together. When we queued up for the carvery, it was perfect timing as soon after there were more than 20 in the queue, with a constant turnaround, for a good half hour. We all opted for all the meats - beef, turkey, pork and gammon - and thoroughly enjoyed them all. A variety of vegetables were on offer and all food was fresh and hot, not dry and mushy like some carveries. Overall 10/10 experience and will definitely be visiting again!
o.Very nice food & service. Ruth was especially lovely. Very pleasant and chatting with the family/offerings great meal suggestions as she served us. The children found the chicken nuggets a bit dry but overall we all enjoyed the food, quick service and family friendly atmosphere.
P. S.Been using the lambwath for may years as it’s walking distance for us. Make sure you book a table if going at busy times, which are the best times to go. Going when it is busy you will find an excellent Carvery at a reasonable price, but I have been when it hasn’t been very busy and the lack of turnover can be experienced in the meal

G.We went to night to give it a second chance as last week was not up to scratch.tonights carvery was 100% better .hot food being bought out by a chef in a black jacket all the time .no waiting for anything .when we asked why tonight was so much better we were told the manager was back of holiday and working in the kitchen .

M.As usual good selection of meats and veg sometimes the meat is a bit tuff basically a bit hit and miss but on Sunday it was spot on.the veg was refreshed as soon as it ran low,all in all you can't beat it better than Toby in my opinion and great price during the week and only a little more on a Sunday.They do breakfast every day upto 11 30 they are absolutely Brill

S. T.Food was lovely and all the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. Gulia was very friendly. When serving starters it would be helpful if cutlery was provided with the food. We used what was on the table but had to ask for more cutlery to eat our main meal! It was brought quickly so no big problem but not what you expect. Only real complaint was there was no ice for our drinks!!

J.Yeah was my first time back in about ten years thought give it another go as wanted a carvery so badly..it was cold the only things hot was gravy York's and the stuffing.. and the veg was just peas sweetcorn and looked like frozen hard carrots just disappointing really for the price think it was on par with the Goodfellow ship which is a lot cheaper.

I was having a bit of a struggle on deciding what I would wanted to eat, you see i’m quite a fat man so have a very open diet so sometimes can take some time to decide. But this lovely fella called Cile or Kyle helped me out with a few recommendations, great lad with a clear love for his job. 5/5 for me

W.I went for a meal on the 17th with my brother and his girlfriend the food was awesome, well cooked and served by lovely friendly staff I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting a lovely carvery and they deliver too, I know I'm one of their popular delivery drivers, it's a great atmosphere whether eating or just popping in for a pint. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Social distancing was great, well spaced out tables and chairs.the tables and chairs were cleaned often. Particularly like the way they just had a table at a time going to get your carvery, will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to the staff for making it a pleasant experience.

E.Carvery was good but not to the usual standard The Lambworth has held over the years, The meat and vegetarian options were great but the vegetables and other condiments were lacking in quality.

N. S.As it was the last day before the lockdown, it was very busy, but still the service was excellent. I ordered food via the app and only had to wait a few minutes before being called to the carvery. The food was good (as usual), and I'm looking forward to visiting again once the lockdown has been lifted.

Also I wasn't impressed with quality of bacon which was dried out, too salty and bit too greasy.
It may been just that morning but at this time I think customers should get as much as possible for what they pay.

Carvery, is ok, but the vegetables ( are previously frozen )and not always cooked properly or hot. But a decent selection if you go at right time.

H.We went as a family tonight to elevate my mums birthday , we had carvery and pizzas , pizzas were delicious and great value , we love the carvery as been before the staff are very friendly and helpful ,what we noticed tonight was a gentlemen going in out of toilets , we asked Beth who he was as had a cloth and a spray bottle with him, found out it was the manager David , doing toilet checks and wiping the taps and sinks with a spray of detol, ,My family were impressed with this in the current situation .

Honestly I would suggest they just turn this place fully into a restaurant and completely remove the pub area because every time I have been it was fairly busy and most people seem to be coming to eat a meal. Most people don't stay in the pub section after they have eaten. More staff are needed for the bar as sometimes you could be waiting 10-20 minutes just to get served on a Sunday afternoon.

Reasonable pub prices, carvery is more pricey on a Sunday but that's expected. Stonehouse are now known for more than just carveries though, you can now find delicious pizzas, juicy burgers and plenty more options if a roast isn't for you! Some lovely staff who are unfortunately looked over by the handful of staff who seem to despise their job and act like you've just ate their first born if you ask for a coke with no ice.. which means less work for them anyway!

This place is a lovely, clean pub with a nice atmosphere.
I went for the carvery and was not disappointed. A choice of beef, Gannon, pork, Turkey and even steak and ale pie or a sneaky bit of all if the meats available was even an option. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff were lovely and all for just £5.95 for the standard carvery!

Nothing wrong with this pub, but nothing stands out about it to Warrent a 4 or 5 star review.
It's the same as so many pubs up and down the UK, a generic pub where you can eat and drink, that's all it is.

1.As a disabled pensioner who could not afford or able to cook a Sunday dinner like yours, it does not pay us to do it, especially if alone. This is one place I often treat myself when I can afford it, and i don't feel out of place. It would be an idea to encourage single ladies to sit together as we are often lonely, it encourages new friendships and gives people courage to take the plunge. Maybe give us courage to have something we don't have when alone, maybe a pensioners and singles day not just for us obviously maybe on a slower day. To fill spaces. I love the food one thing is if you could fill veg, gravies and condiments quicker.

A. L.Visited for a late afternoon carvery and was not disappointed. The bar and dining room areas were very large, clean and airy with plenty of room to move about. The carvery food was excellent, plenty of choice and tasty, good value for money and our waitress Sophie was very cheerful and efficient. On the downside however, a couple of improvements that could be made are that it would be nice if placemats and drinks coasters were provided instead of a very bare table and the actual carvery food needs to be complemented by real home made Yorkshire puddings instead of mass produced bought in ones, but these two niggles apart, we would visit again.

Yes got a refund and a drink but it doesn't take away the fact I had to eat separate to the rest of family. Will think twice again about coming here or will use westbulls that I believe don't use just eat. On the plus side the food was nice when it did arrive.

P. J.I booked a table on a wednesday evening for 15 people. We actually had 18 turn up but for some places this would have been a problem but was no trouble at all. I had a carvery which during the week was £5.49. The large was £7.49. The food was hot,the service was good and the staff checked more than once that our meals were ok and were prompt in taking the pots away. Fantastic!
c.Was very disappointed. There was only beef and Gammon. The Turkey and pork had run out it was only 1 clock. The Gammon was so salty we could eat it. There are 8 of us we come at least once a month. Some of my friends said don't book to go next month. We paid £5.95 and wasn't happy.

The bar service used to be lacking though. We was stood at the bar waiting for drinks for ages right next to a bar woman. After what seemed an eternity, she turned to me & my friend and said "that bar's closed" in a pretty nasty way. There were no signs to let us know. This was a while ago, she's probably left (or improved) now.
They have messed up bookings for birthday parties too, watch out for that. Give them a call a couple days before to check.

J. B.Nice generous portions of meat but cold sides. May of been due to the temperature outside been really warm so they may have turned the hot plates off. All the veg potatoes and Chip's only luke warm unfortunately, although the heating lamps had warmed up the serving utensils they had not done a very good job of keeping the food warm.
But in a very British Manor when asked if everything was ok we all nodded and said yes.
Normally piping hot so in no way has it put me off although I would ask for my sides to be microwaved for a couple of mins if happened again.

N.Generally like it here, our last visit want great, they had no straws which my wife needs in order to be able to drink and they were in no rush to get us one and we'd already bought the drinks, the room was ridiculously hot for no apparent reason, and the table and floor were filthy, we ended up getting a refund and leaving. That being said that was an isolated incident and it had since been refurbished so need to go back and try it out!

B. J. G.Myself and my friend went in for a cavery, the meat was bone dry (even when adding gravy) and the potatos felt as though they were crumbling in my mouth.
The only thing which saved the meal was the fact that the vegetables were creamy and cooked beautifully - it was quite dead so i assume the reason why the potatos and meats were bad was due to lack of customers.
Shame really, but over all i would come again.
g. w.It is my first visit to the Lambwath carvery since the revamp. It is much smarter and cleaner ,a big improvement. The pub was very busy ,it was Easter Monday ,but we didn't have to wait too long for a table.My complaint is the amount of meat served ,i was given a slither of turkey and a slightly larger slice of pork .Why are the portions so small ? We paid for the standard plate ,but really it was a childs size.Also the only choices were pork and turkey ,no beef or ham .Vegetables good and hot ,just a disappointment with the meat.Plese tell the server not to be so stingy.

Come here almost every sunday to enjoy a lovely carvery. Staff are very plesant an helpfull love sunday lunch here only problem today was didnt no who was serving our table as no one spoke to us as usualy do just as ya tucking into ya meal. maybe cos we was stuck in a corner out the way dont no but was disapointed as we was gonna order puddings but after waiting over 40 mins after finishing our lunch with our empty plates still on the table an trying to catch a glimps of who was supposed to be serving at our table we gave up an left which was disapointing as when ya first sit down to eat ya meal ya server usualy lets ya no they are serving your table but hay ho we wont let one disapointment stop us eating lunch here again next sunday.
