Clean and tidy inside. Friendly barman, nice welcome, good lager. Limited spirits on offer, good pool table and TV area

Lovely family friendly pub. Me and the family all enjoyed our meal here. The staff were very attentive and thoughtful when it came to our 2 year old! The actual pub was clean and well presented. Highly recommended trying the mixed grill here.

Lovely food, staff are nice. So pleased it's the new local ☺️

Nice and clean, good pool table, was quiet but was still really enjoyable whereas some places are a bit creepy when quiet. Staff were lovely! We were staying at the holiday inn and if I was to stay there again I'd definitely come back to this pub!

Went in search of somewhere with a kids play area and child menu. Tiny kids wall not a play area. Tues and Fri £7 for any pizza...unfortunately the pizza overs are not working..but the signs are still outside and inside. Only when you go …

Lovely environment, excellent service. Some of the meals ordered weren't up to standard, but the helpful staff rectified the queries. A grand time for our 80 Yr old Mum on Mother's Day.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary lunch so much, we went back for dinner with our daughter and our greyhound! Staff were lovely, pub is very nice and the food was delicious!

Positively surprised by the quality of food (well done for nice moist chicken as normally restaurants make it dry). It was my 2nd time visiting the pub and I will be definitely coming back.

My visit to The Raven can only be described as enthusiastically mediocre. Like many British pubs from my youth, it seems this one has been moulded to be yet another cookie-cutter gastro pub with very average food and less than desirable decor.
What's even more unfortunate was the lack of attentiveness by staff. One stand-out member was very friendly and he even took the empty glasses away from the table, however, we were left to our own devices for the most part and felt ignored. We weren't patrons: we were a nuisance.
The food was...fine. Was it exceptional? No. Was it awful? Also no. It was just food and it was edible, that's the best I can summarise on that front.
Despite its marketing, I wouldn't describe this as a fun place to go. It was rather drab, despite the lavish, green walls. I probably won't be returning for a second meal but, if you're in the area and fancy something other than the Harvester/Frankie & Bennys/McDonalds/whatever else is around, then sure: it'll suffice.
