Expensive but true Irish very nice bar staff! Just have to update was in today and witnessed a potentially nasty situation which was dealt with by Brad the barman firmly and tactfully very impressed how he defused the situation well ✔️ done

Traditional Irish pub in Ipswich? THE SHAMROCK! This pub has it all! Bar staff are lovely welcoming and informative. The beer is always at its finest & the Guinness is the best in all of Ipswich! They often have live bands on and always seem to pick good ones! If you want a real pub with top quality drinks and superb entertainment you will find no better than The Shamrock.

Nice little place. The Irish music nearly drove me nuts buts that's my own fault for going to an Irish bar. Service was good, prices were more than reasonable.

A great atmosphere. Friendly, efficient bar staff, especially Suzi who was on her own when we visited, she served everyone, was smiling and chatty and kept everyone happy. Everyone was enjoying the music and the comfortable surroundings. The live music events are well worth going to too.

The Shamrock is a proper pub, so friendly and comfortable. The drinks are well kept and at decent prices, Tony and Teresa certainly know how to make you welcome.

I have visited a number of times on a Sunday and they have live entertainment from about 3.30 onwards and there is an excellent atmosphere. The staff are brilliant with drinks priced at the top end with no real ale, but considering the entertainment it's good value. They do a good house wine and bottled Doombar. A nice please to spend a Sunday afternoon.

This pub has two different characters. At night it can be boisterous, with live music. However at lunchtime it's quiet and relaxing with good value food. On sunny days there's a small courtyard available outside. As it's name suggests it's an Irish theme pub but, unusually, one that's actually frequented by people from the Emerald Isle. No real ale but still a good range of drinks on draught. Exceptionally pleasant staff.

Happened to chance on some live music at this very establishment on a Sunday evening after watching football at another pub near by. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a lively place on a Sunday evening in Ipswich (Ipswich generally closes on a Sunday afternoon!). Turned what we thought would be a quiet evening out into a cracking evening.
