I've passed this place many times and never paid it any attention, but I did attend a live music event very recently. No idea if they serve food or not, didn't seem to be doing so at the time, but the live band was the reason for my visit. There was plenty of room for dancing and the band were on what appears to be a purpose built stage.This place has a very nice kind of courtyard and grounds/garden behind it that has huge potential which was a very pleasant surprise. Bar service is good with pleasant and efficient staff. I will definitely attend again. Prices are reasonable too. Toilets are exceptionally nice, looked new. I hope people will support this place, and help it to grow to it's full potential. Just my opinion, others may agree or disagree. Anyway, my wife and I had a great time, can't ask more than that.

A wonderful place to hold our work summer party.. lidlS..we work hard..and found a gem to go to.. Local to all the workers,we ate,drank and sung karaoke..I say sang..lightly used term..lol... The hosts with the most..we felt totally relaxed and welcomed by Ryan and Darren and their fab staff..just to cater for our needs ..did a fantastic job.. Thank you for everything guys,🥰

The new owners have done pretty good with the place. Entertainment was great. The sandwiches served was lovely. Its good to see some security guards too making sure it's a safe place to enjoy yourself. Celebrating 🍾 our friend's wedding anniversary here was really good. Friendly staff too.

We hired the function area for my grandfather's wake The team made everything just as it needed to be. We asked for them to provide a buffet and wow what a buffet it was. Fresh, tasty and very well presented. All in all I would recommend The Golden Hind for any type of function.

Had their beef Sunday lunch yesterday , oh my it was delicious . Prawn cocktail to start , beef roast with all the trimmings and chocolate brownie and ice cream . Staff were very attentive and cheerful , nothing to much trouble . Friendly relaxed atmosphere . Only down side , you couldn't see or hear the singer very well Will definitely be back again

Amazing place. The owners are so involved with their customers and always have time for a quick chat. The staff are very friendly in here. We've only been in twice but we love it. Food is good. Service is excellent ☆☆☆☆☆ well just keep going back every time. The garden in walled with plenty of space. Undercover or in the sun. Great all round hospitality. Thanks to all of you. The food is good once you get it. We waited a long time for our order to be completed though there was hardly any one else eating. Service is slow. We hope that as things start to open up more and numbers improve that they get into a better routine with everything and the service improves.

1st time we've visited this establishment visited on s Friday evening, probably not the best time if you want a quiet meal ,but the food was good value,the staff were Very good & friendly !

The people that run the golden hind are very kind and welcoming the atmosphere is very nice they have a lovely garden with plenty of seating and a lively atmosphere think it's dog friendly as well as someone buried there dog there Ryan and Darren have made some great changes but still kept some old features felt very at home there definitely going back for a meal and a pint xXx

No food served, except bar snacks, good function room, generally very good beers - previous owners had a caske Mark, and the new ones seem to have maintained the standard, as far as I can tell. The place is reasonably priced and is seen as a bit of a local pub, I've not experienced any trouble there and find it to be a place anyone can go for a quite drink alone or with company.

Initially visited as they were listed as a stockist for Iron Maiden Trooper beer but this was not on. However Mik the landlord took my email address and emailed me yesterday to say the beer was on. Myself and a couple of colleagues went across this lunchtime and Mik could not have done enough for us. He gave us a tour of the pub including the magnificent garden and even prepared us a roll for lunch. The beer was extremely well kept and I would highly recommend this pub to anyone living or working in the vicinity.
