First time visiting since it reopened for food and was not disappointed. I chose the hot beef ciabata with chips. The beef was so tender and the chips were perfect. Staff were really friendly and very attentive. Looking forward to returning soon to try more of the menu!

I had lunch here with a few colleagues shortly before Christmas. I ordered lasagne and it was delicious, although the chips and onion rings could have been better. Everyone else was happy with their food. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. Overall, it felt like a nice traditional British pub.

Very good. The service was simple, quick and efficient. Orders were made using a QR code on the tables and the drinks arrived very shortly afterwards. The beer itself, 61 Deep was excellent.

Great pub with excellent Sunday roast. Very busy but had hardly any time to wait for a table. As an older person with smaller appetite the small roast was ample. Very good atmosphere and pleasant bar staff.

Our new favourite pub! Amazing Sunday lunch, been three times in the past month. Very friendly staff, easy going atmosphere and made to feel very welcome. Can be quite busy at times but we haven't waited too long for a table and there have been five of us, plus our dog last Sunday! We knew dogs were welcome but we were worried there might be an issue after a long muddy walk with the dog in the rain... needn't have worried, the dog got a bowl of water before I got my pint! Thankful for a real local with a country pub feel, great food and families (with dog) welcome. Nick and Julia Blakeley

Normally visit here when visiting friends who live locally in Rothwell. Menu is not extensive but have tried two meals on different occasions. Always freshly cooked, tasty and prices quite reasonable. There are generally 4 real ales on hand pull and are looked after well as I have never had a bad pint when drinking here. I particularly like the White Witch which goes down well. Sky sports is shown on various wall mounted TVs. Always worth a visit.

Ate there yesterday and the new chef presented us with excellent restaurant quality food at pub prices. Good selection of ales and good freindly service. Makes a change to be served with freshly cooked food instead of the predictable fare served elsewhere.

A nice pub. Oldie worldy like a pub used to be. Food looked nice although I didn't eat on this occasion. Prices very reasonable for food and drinks. Friendly staff. Table service for food. Will visit again at some point maybe visit for tea with friends.

Love this place, found it by accident but the food is amazing and generous portions. Live sport, and good atmosphere. The lad in charge behind the bar is an absolute delight as well, great attitude.

A first pub we went after latest lockdown. It was magnificent!! Nice selection of ales and lagers. Perfect place for family visit!!!

Called in for a drink for the first time and ended up staying all night, good selection of real ales largers and spirits , friendly bar staff and an all round good atmosphere , the pub itself is nicely decorated and kept spotlessly clean , I would definitely say it's one of the nicest pubs in the rothwell area . Well worth a visit .
