A lovely pub, great real ale, very friendly staff, a beer garden overlooking the canal... well worth a visit

Lovely pub! Didn't get the chance to stay longer today due to other commitments (we would've stayed longer) however the staff are friendly and the pub is spotlessly clean! Great canal side spot in the back seating area. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling along the Leeds/Liverpool or other Rodley locals!

Popped in for a pint and ended up having probably the best pub lunch we've ever had! My partner had lasagne and I had a the Cajun halloumi ciabatta and both of us were impressed with the quality of the food. The chef was great, really attentive and you can tell he puts a lot of effort and thought into his cooking. Will definitely be coming back. 10/10 Would recommend

We saw this place outside from our narrowboat and decided to call in for a quick pint. Glad we did... service was friendly and speedy, the drinks were golden and the beer garden backs right out onto the canal where we could see our boat. Would highly recommend to other boaters! 👍🏻👍🏻

Went on a Friday night, warm evening so sat outside by the canal which was beautiful. Handpulled pint was perfect. I'm not a regular but me and my mate were made to feel really welcomed by the staff and the regular custom. Defo will be going down again

After moving to Rodley in lockdown I only recently visited this place. Real traditional pub. Staff are probably the most friendly and welcoming bar staff I've come across in a long time. Real credit to the pub. Also love the fact that it's dog friendly

Brilliant pub that I've started to go in again. Lovely attentive staff, your drink is always no more than 5 minutes away. Really top atmosphere inside and out with outdoors front benches and at the back is the canal, which is breathtakingly good. All sorts of beers and lagers for every taste. A big thumbs up for this fab pub!!!

Locals pub but I was with locals and they were friendly!😁 Loved the fact dogs were welcome and had a few impromptu cuddles with well behaved dogs. Drinks were good value too. It's not a posh pub, it has a "lived in" look but it is a comfy pub and wouldn't hesitate to call in next time I'm down there.

One of my favourite pubs ever! The pub has a lovely front terrace to have a drink k with plenty of room for everyone. The back is right on the Leeds/Bradford Canal. What a lovely place for a drink with your partner. The scenery is breath taking!!!

Cracking pub situated right by the canal. Enjoyed a lovely pint of Stella by the water out the back. If you want sunshine you can sit at the front of the place later in the evening. This is a proper pub. Very quaint and what you want from a local place.

Best discribed as a walkers pub. Definitely not a champagne/Cocktail bar, but that's exactly what I love about it the staff are always friendly and helpful. It's a cosy canal side place to rest and enjoy your afternoon with a few drinks or a bite to eat.

Enjoy this little local happy to stay most times we visit however the local drunk made us feel very on edge the other day. Clearly looking for a bit of trouble so we left after one drink and went elsewhere. Shame as we always enjoy it at the barge. Hopefully this was a one off.

Really nice place out in the back when sunny and warm. I only drink stella, thats fine. staff seem friendly enough. But food was bad. took 40 mins to receive order and when we got it, it was below average. The food is run by a different company to the pub and its a real headache to order and pay.

Lovely, Warm & Welcoming with a canal side view from the back beer garden, over looking large fields full of horses! :) The Barge was around a long time before the previous owners of the owl were and im sure it will see more come and go in time as it stands strong. I believe the guy that commented about the one pound charge obviously scrimped when it came to buying his specs as well, as its always been 50p to the best of my knowledge which is at least 2 years....
