The food here was excellent. I went with my partner and we both had different starters mains and deserts and had no issues with any of it, every course was, in fact, delicious. The seating inside seemed spaciously arranged so it felt nice and airy and like there was privacy at our individual table. There is also some lovely outdoor space here with amazing views so it is a very nice place to go for a romantic evening or an evening with friends and family. We would definitely go again.

This pub did my wedding reception the staff were so attentive and the owner was absolutely brilliant and made sure we had everything we needed the meal was great and drinks were on point every time.

Fantastic venue, a modern gastro pub but with cosy open fires and a great selection of lagers (Moretti, Heineken Silver, Neck Oil). The food was amazing (have the scotch egg) and the staff were very helpful friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. Will be back.

Went here for food and a couple of drinks. Early evening and the place was very quiet. From the off you notice the place needs a good clean. A lick of paint wouldn't go amiss either. Not the most welcoming place. The few people in the pub all look up and all conversation stopped. Whole bunch of staff standing round look up too. The designated greeter was pleasant and helpful though. Service was good, drinks arriving quickly. Food was ordered and came quickly. Food quality was okay, nothing more. For the price it could have been better. Location is great but everything else is just blah.

Really nice country pub. There is a lovely country walk behind this pub, and this is a great little pub to stop and have a bite to eat. They have an amazing beer garden at the back with a lovely view! They also hold a hog roast, which appears to be popular! I ordered the metled goat cheese and chutney sandwich. Was reasonably priced at just over £8. This is served with home made chips 😍 and salad. The service is really good, and the staff are kind and helpful. Unfortunately the pub can be fully booked at the weekend however, they managed to facilitate a spare table for us. Would recommend anyone in the local area to visit here. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and I will most certainly be visiting again 😀 😊

The staff were really friendly and welcoming,The menu was quite limited there could be more added for a better range. Great place if you have a dog as it is dog friendly. The lighting at the bar could be dimmed to make it cozier. Nice bathroom. Overall I would go back

Had a takeaway Sunday lunch today. It was gorgeous!! Easy to order, delivery spot on. The food was cooked perfectly and it was a very generous portion. Tasty gravy came in large individual pots and separate giant Yorkshires. I was pleased that it included both roasties and mash. Really good value. Will definitely order again and looking forward to being able to visit again in person when allowed. The pub is in a really pretty spot with a really good beer garden. Very pleased x

Just finished an excellent Mixed grill, busy lunchtime with large group of 20 just ordering before us, Chef came out and apologised for the wait which was a nice touch..the wait was only 10 mins as well, really enjoyed the meal, quality of meat was excellent, will be coming back for sure.

A local pub with a country feel, food hit and miss based on visits over many years, chefs often seem to go for style over substance and prices are way more than they should be for the end result. Hopefully that's changed with the latest incarnation of things. A good range of beers on offer, ample parking, great outdoor area in summer.

Went for Sunday lunch only to be told there was only one choice of meat left. Waited well over an hour for the food to arrive. When the food arrived it was lovely and 50% was taken of our bill for the inconvenience. The table next to ours waited 2 hours for food.

New management new chef! So we have been here before and we liked it, the beer always been good and the food okay BUT with this new chef the Sunday lunch was the best we had! Sorry Toby but the flavour level is way higher and is just the right amount as well. We don't normally go out for the Sunday roast because alot of place there is no flavour in the food but we are going to make this a regular treat.

Bad start with the front door keys missing. The pate and soup were very good, roast dinner (no roast spuds)good. The fish and chips poor, too much cast iron batter. Deserts also worth leaving room for. Staff were nice and friendly but missed a few things.

Me and my friend went for lunch last week. Very friendly staff. All covid regulations in place to protect staff and customers. There was a slight wait on food but it was well worth it as the food had clearly been freshly prepared and was very tasty.

The calamari was delicious so was the salmon & prawn dish, pizza for the husband, no complaints there. Hand sanitiser stations visible. Tables sanitised after people had left via one way system. We had not been before for sunday lunch my daughter convinced me to go because she had eaten during the week and said it was fantastic food. It was the best sunday lunch roast pork ive had out. Beautiful views in the summer looking over some hills, a lake and horses. Damn i love those sexy horses. In the winter there's a fire you can warm your nuts on. I've not even eaten here yet as looking at the food no-one can be that hungry.

Such a shame. The restaurant is lovely and the waitress who served us was also very friendly. However, it was all ruined by a stubborn chef who insisted the bechamel sauce in the lasagne was meant to look like wallpaper paste. I have eaten in many restaurants and cook regularly myself and as I'm sure most people would agree, this sauce is meant to be smooth and creamy. When I complained (after eating almost none of it), I was told there was nothing they could do as the chef said that's how it is meant to be...WRONG!!!
