What a gem! A proper bar like in the old days. Very friendly atmosphere, great staff and amazing drinks. Nothing like the all-the-same chains. A place where you can have a drink and chat with the bartender. On top of that, they are very reasonable priced. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely litte bar, much nicer atmosphere than some of the bigger bars. A lot more cosy and intimate. Espresso martini and old fashioned were delicious! Highly recommend.

The atmosphere is unique, as it feels a bit like you are at someone's living room. And that is pretty cool - Leeds has too many prohibition style bars and needs some fresh ideas. The cocktail list is the main star here - very creative drinks on offer, as well as great classics. We had a couple of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails. They were creative, unique and well made. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great, professionally made cocktail.

Stopped by The Watermark Bar for a quick drink, it was recommended by another bar worker and we weren't disappointed. They take great care in making their cocktails and they are served delightfully! Small venue but was still well spaced out with current regulations. Slightly expensive, but you don't mind paying extra when the craftsmanship is as good as it it here

Had a lovely meal this evening.. Camden lock pale was delicious and well cared for, lovely outdoor space and gorgeous indoor lounge, great wallpaper in the Lois, food was delicious, bigger portions than we thought so we'd over ordered, staff were just wonderful.. Would definitely head there again.. The spam bao was delicious, Vietnam eggs reminded me of saigon city... 😂 Thank you for a lovely evening...

My old favourite bar unfortunately closed down in July. So I had to find someone fun, loud enough to have some atmosphere but enough so you could talk and most importantly bar tenders who care about their craft. Filippos and the gents here are the absolute best! You are welcomed in like family, they talk to you and they want to serve you great cocktails. You talk and you laugh and dear God you have a fantastic time. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Leeds. Highly recommend this gem of a bar. Keep it up guys, Alex + Joanna

Memorable evening and will be my new go to bar in Leeds now. Can't wait to go back and try more on the menu! Absolutely love this bar. And will definitely be back and bring friends. The back story is so cool. The staff are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and care about good food and drink. The atmosphere is perfect, right kind of tunes, lighting, warm, cosy. Excellent place to chat and hang out with friends. We had some nibbles along with our beer and wine and all was delicious. Highly recommend the olives (biggest and tastiest you've ever tasted) and the bocadillo - full of umami flavour. Perfect small plates of food on offer to share with friends and goes REALLY well with the drinks :) Absolutely perfect service, they really know how to look after people and make you feel welcome.

If you want something different and amazing this is the place to be. You can go in alone and getting chatting to anyone. Or the perfect date setting. The food is 10 out of 10 plus the service and surroundings are too. Best cocktails in leeds and good prices

Don't get into town that much but stumbled upon this gem and at first impression I was dubious but within 30seconds the staff greeted us and made us feel more than welcome. After drinks downstairs we were shown the ''lounge" upstairs and the bartender Rob made us some amazing drinks from the menu and some one off cocktails after asking us about our favourite flavours and spirits. I highly recommend the meat and cheese boards which are available right up until closing time. Fantastic place to spend your evenings!

Just love this unique place. Great atmosphere, rather like a private members club or someone’s eclectic home. Best espresso martini I’ve ever had. Great cocktails, wines and cheese! Music playlist is so good with lots of old school stuff. The lighting that so many bars & restaurants get horribly wrong is perfect. Mostly candlelight with soft mood lighting. You can even play chess or card games! Oh and the service is as you’d expect with this attention to detail is pretty awesome too.

A great, laid back place with friendly staff who take your orders from your table. It has limited space and does get popular (so get in early). There are more seats upstairs (when open). Definitely one to try when you want to sit down, drink and chat.

Staff are lovely, my phone had died after a night out and I’d lost my boyfriend and they let me charge my phone behind the bar and the doorman made sure I ordered a taxi and could get home safe! Atmosphere is nice and the workers very friendly so would recommend!

Just had a really lovely time, I see what people mean when they say it feels like going to a friends house, had been putting it off because I thought it'd be really expensive but it isn't, about £7-10 a cocktail for us and the cocktails were all amazing, the staff were lovely and welcoming and knowledgeable and the music was basically my summer playlist, planning on coming back asap, would 100% recommend it, one of my favourite places in Leeds already

Epicurus is a wonderful oasis on a noisy and messy bar scene. Death and Taxes is a cocoon within a cocoon. A wonderful place to hide away from the world with cocktails, attentive staff and plush surroundings.
