Came here recently with an old friend for some lunch. We were not disappointed! She had a blue light card and was able to get 10% off our bill. The place was not busy at all and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We shared the calamari and nachos for starters which was all lovely. I had the bacon and mushroom pasta for lunch which was delicious and I would definitely recommend, my friend had the steak sandwich which she also enjoyed but was abit dry. Delicious cocktails and some of the cheapest I’ve seen in the area. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu !

Been going here over 30 years off and on. Called in for a mid-week meal, and I was very impressed. The menu was very good. Normal pub meal prices. I had the ribs, which I recommend if you like them. There was a good choice of beer, and my pint was excellent. Only one member of staff behind the bar and serving meals, but there was no delays, to be fair. She was friendly and helpful. Toilet facilities excellent. Good, friendly atmosphere, highly recommended. ... I could tell a few stories from 30 years ago, mind!

Unfortunately I have no pictures to share as I was starving and dug straight in ! Absolutely lovely place, recently had a renovation and is nice and fresh, the staff are also lovely and the chef came out personally to ask my preferences. I got battered mushroom starter with a burger as a main, both were Absolutely delicious ! A really nice peaceful atmosphere here, I will definitely be returning. I must also note, the gravy here is quite literally the best I've ever had ! Shout out to Imogen who made our visit all the more welcoming!

What a lovely homely pub, there was a wake on for a long standing customer named Dennis, (rest in peace my luv) they were celebrating his life ♡, we were sat by the window, where Dennis used to sit, it was nice to watch the world go round, literally! The staff were lovely, the food was delicious 😋 and I shall be back to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys ❤

It's a great little place, parking a bit restricted but once inside it's a very friendly pub staff are friendly and there is a good choice of beers/lagar, as for the food a wide variety from vegetarian, vegan and of course omiverous to , there also a children's section, it's also dog friendly , and a beer garden/patio + 1 TV if you're into sports. All in all a nice place Big improvements with the refurbishment,all new decor, tables , seating ect , come and have a look.

We called in for some tea on the way home to Menston last Saturday. We were having a lovely meal until a couple of dogs starting barking at each other and one of the dogs pooped on the floor and made us all feel a little sick! We are big dog lovers however never seen that before and the poor bar worker had to pick up the remaining bit which was left by the owner…bless her! Not nice to see and has put us off a little, sorry guys! Staff lovely and friendly x

We usually go to The Stone Trough in Rawdon but as The White Cross is part of the same chain we thought we would have a change of scenery. Unfortunately it's not up to the same standard. My wife's ribs and chicken were fine but my sirloin was mainly fat and very tough.

6.99 for 2 courses mid week. I had soup, then the pie you can see in the photo. No word of a lie- it was AMAZING! The pie was crispy and full of flavour. Chips crispy and fluffy. Soup was seasoned beautifully and served with warm bread. How can you go wrong at that price? Can't believe I haven't eaten there before and will totally eat there again.

Food was good for the whole group except my steak. The rib eye was the most expensive, but it was over 50% gristle. I mentioned this, and at first was told that's what Rib eye is meant to be like. On inspection they agreed to cook a new one which was actually perfect, although everyone else had finished. Average score for the initial reply. Would score higher otherwise.

We visited the White Cross only once and were pleasantly surprised. During the current Coronavirus pandemic we were not expecting to get a table or great service. However we were seated quickly and informed of the current social distancing measures and how patrons can cooperate. Parking is an issue, so ensure you register your registration plate in the bar for free parking. I ordered food and drinks at the bar, then move on to a serving area to collect your own drinks. Once sat down, food arrived in 6 minutes!! We were very hungry so this came as a great bonus. Food was good in portion sizes and quality for bar style food. Overall very happy with the service even if the gent, possibly the bar manager, had to be a little forceful with other patrons who didn't want to follow their social distancing measures. But then it was for their own good so I can fully understand his frustrations. Overall we really enjoyed our very brief visit.

Booked table over phone at short notice. Staff very friendly and a warm welcome from all the staff there. We ordered 4 adult meals all food arrived very quickly, surprised us a bit. Posh fish & chips excellent again plus 2 of the other meals lovely. Slight issue with 4th meal, Steak Ale pie... pie had too much pastry with some bits hard to eat from the pie.... otherwise great place to eat & drink.

I was very disappointed. ......that I could only give 5 stars. The White Cross pub at Guiseley is off the scale superb. My wife and I visited the pub with our friends on Sunday the 25th of November (2018). We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in. The bar staff, the waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly they, couldn't do enough for us. The food was awesome. Richard and I had the mixed grill. It was a huge meal just as a mixed grill should be with lots of meat, fried eggs , onion rings, peas and chips that were beautifully cooked, in fact everything was beautifully cooked. My wife and Di enjoyed their meals with the four of us eating every morsel. The puddings were to die for. Three of us had the treacle sponge and custard one had the apple pie and custard and again they were awesome. The whole dining experience was fantastic and great value for money. Just a shame that I could only give 5 stars. You guys deserve at least 10.

The actual pub is fine. We had a meal at lunchtime. The server was lovely but the food itself was mediocre. I had soup which was ok, fish & chips which were diabolical - the fish was tasteless & just tasted of cooking oil, the chips were poor & there can't have been more than ten or so of them. There was a tiny pot half full of congealed mushy peas. Dessert was treacle sponge pudding, obviously inadequately microwaved as it was cold in the centre, with bulk buy tasteless custard. My wife had ham & eggs. The ham was cold boiled ham!! She wasn't asked how she wanted the eggs cooked, i.e. soft, hard, over easy or whatever. The portion was child sized. They need to either raise their price or cut their profit - but increase quality & portion size.

How wonderful to visit a restaurant that exceeds expectations. We had a plate is squid as a shared starter,my partner had butterflied sea bream,I had the plaice. A glass of prosecco whilst we perused the menu,a good bottle of chilled white wine ( not driving) with our food. Fabulous. The squid fresh, nothing like those horrible squid rings, frozen,we have come to expect. Both mains were exceptional. Highly rated,the quality far above our expectations. More power to this establishment,will definitely be back. Try it yourself, you will not be disappointed.

There is always a warm welcome for customers from the staff. They are always happy to explain the draught beers available each time. Recently I had some lunchtime food which was very tasty and wholesome. It must be said that it's ambience is looking tired and could really do with a facelift. The white cross is not perfect but considering the way a lot of pubs and eating places have gone it deserves the five stars for somehow managing to cater for drinkers, diners, families (and even the odd drinking / dining / family dog?) without much confrontation. The staff are great and so are the drinks and the food lives up to what you would hope for at this level. Well done White Cross and M&B.

Had a meal here after a tour of Emmerdale studios. Called at The original Woolpack in Esholt village but they had stopped doing meals as the owners were leaving so was recommend The White Cross for a meal. Lovely pub with a good atmosphere. Both our meals were very nice, hunters chicken and beef and ale pie, very tasty and would recommend a visit if passing through Guiseley.
