Sunday dinner at the Oady Owl, unable to book in originally, so just turned up. Unreserved tables were available. The staff were very polite and friendly which always makes it better. The kitchen was unfortunately running on a reduced menu due to staff shortages. But plenty to pick from. Meals were relatively cheap 6.99 depending on what you had. We had the beef Sunday roast.. my only niggle was you could tell the meals had been sitting for a bit under the heat lamps in the kitchen. So could have been hotter. But to be honest it was what you expect.. a medium sized meal for the price.. we still enjoyed it. They also have areas outside should it get warmer. Overall worth a visit if your in the area

We’ve all known it’s been difficult remaining a business during this challenging covid era. Members of staff have been friendly to us, and representing their best quality of food and drinks. I had my chicken burger as usual here; really loved it.

Went to the Oadby Owl for Xmas dinner and we were really happy with the experience overall. First of all, the staff were amazing! Super friendly and accommodating. The food service was spot on as well- food came out efficiently despite them being short staffed and things starting to get busier. Food was absolutely delicious! Might be the best roast potatoes we've ever had! Overall we had a great time, and will be visiting again in the New Year, and thank you to all the staff for their hard work today!

We had our Sunday late lunch here, iv never been but came here on family recommendations. Was not disappointed with food or service. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, food was nice but minor issues like chips was bit under cooked. I will definitely be making another visit as I loved the home made nachos. They followed social distancing rules and service was good too. Deserts was brilliant too. See you guys soon and keep up the good work.

Been here 3 times now, loved the food, big portions! Great price and the staff were amazing. Have to say sorry to the man that came out of the food service door! My 2 year old ran over near it just before he came out, all the staff asked if my son was okay, he was fine! I was mortified for the man, I couldn't apologise enough! We arrived at the pub for a meal on Saturday night. The atmosphere seemed great as it was very busy. Ordered a few drinks and found a table ( we had been shown to a table however it was very dark and surrounded by children screaming) Having sat down we glanced over the menus and decided to order. Upon ordering we were told that the food was going to be an hours wait. After checking with everyone else we went ahead and ordered. Then came the disappointment. The food took longer than the hour, when it did arrive the food was cold so much so that the cheesed hadn't melted on our food. There were also items missing from our plates, salads, sauces and sides! After speaking to the manager we were assured it was because the chefs wanted to get the food out to us. That wouldn't of been a problem if the food would of been warm and eatable. I have never once in my life left food in a restaurant! The manager and staff were very apologetic and offered refunds or free puddings. overall the place seems nice but need new cooks!

Visited tonight and can i just say a huge thanks for being so organised and on the ball with the social distancing measures that you have in place. It was so clear that all of your team knew the rules and they were all following them. I particularly liked how we were greeted at the door and everything was really clearly explained to us. Very organised. Just one tiny thing for improvement would be a bit more of a beady eye on the ladies toilets. They could have done with a bit of a spruce. But other than that very well done to everyone 👏

Very comfortable and cosy environment. The building is split in two sections - bar/games and dining. The games area has pool and darts to keep you entertained. The dining area has booths and tables to choose from. The menu has a good selection of food from chicken to steaks and vegetarian options, all at reasonable prices. They have deals on throughout the week and weekend, check the website for details on any given day. There is plenty of on-site parking available and a beer garden for those warm summer days and evenings.

The whole pub was well managed and there was plenty of social distancing, fully explained the one way system! The App ordering was good and efficient! Good venue to watch the football, but there was only one person serving behind the bar. Majority of the beers needed the barrel changing or unavailable and the same with crisps, most flavours were in the stock room. It's like there was no preparation before opening

Definitely will visit again. They also provide a free water pitcher at the bar you can fill yourself so great marks for that too.

As we come here every week, my daughter and I were very disappointed at the lack of available food choices. The staff were excellent as always, the food we had was excellent and quickly served but I cannot understand how there were no burgers! We had 3 puddings in our choice yet none were available today. We took our fourth choice of pud - nothing. In the 2 or more years we have come here, we have never experienced such a shortage of choice. Please have a full menu available for next week.

Nice clean toilets and disabled access. Small garden at rear. Big seating outdoor dining area at the front for summer days. Large carpark with disables spaces.

Food is good, what you would expect for a cheap and cheerful pub. Went there last night for the first time in 4 months (it is our local pub grub) and hardly any tables but was told 35 minute wait on food. 50 minutes later after several complaints our food arrived. kids were very hungry and they wouldn't even bring out the kids meals beforehand. No kids colouring in sets, no paper napkins, had to ask for extra bbq sauce as the one dish was dry. Can't imagine what a disaster it would have been if they were actually busy. Oadby Owl need more staff in the kitchen on the restaurant floor. Only one staff on the bar, taking both food and drink orders. Invest in your business and you will get more customers!

Features a usual, friendly-and-warm pub atmosphere, with plenty of character and space. The entire pub is extraordinarily clean, food and service here is pretty good, though I have had to wait long times here due to queues at the bar and broken kitchen equipment. My experiences here have been inconsistent, but I think overall I would recommend it certainly once.

I have been going to the oadby owl for over 4 Years and I've never had any issues as of yet. The food is always tasty and the majority of the time it is quick to come out. The staff are very friendly, polite and well spoken each time I visit. It's also great that it's great for couples and families. I would recommend to anybody who asks where to get nice food especially the fish and chips.

I dropped in for a cold beer in the front garden area with my wife. Very enjoyable cold glass of Fosters in a nice location. Ordered a big plate mixed grill and big plate halloumi sandwich. Quite tasty but the helping was a bit on the large side - so good value for money, but if you are not big eaters perhaps share a big plate. We have eaten here before, and I must say that the gammon on Sunday is very, very tasty. Worth a visit, good choice of food and drink and nice to sit out both front and back. Would visit again

Steak night on mondays, 3rd time lucky but no, unfortunately they never have any 8oz steaks and today is no difference, only 9oz more expensive ones. Bar lady was lovely. Manager just sat on the chair folding menus and wasn't bothered when I spoke to him about it. How can you have a steak night with NO Stakes. Then food came out. We asked for our young daughters steak to be cook well done, it came out rare, we sent it back, it came back out the same, sent it back again, finally hers comes out but we had finished ours, which were nice. Will I try again on a monday. No never been into gambling.

Amazing value for money, quite easy to have two mains, two drinks and a garlic bread for £16! Service is very quick, always playing sports and the booths even have their own mini TV. Food is very nice, especially burgers! Cheesy garlic bread is amazing!

Haven't had a bad meal at the owl. You have to wait sometimes but that could happen at any busy venue. I would sooner have my meal cooked properly than having the chef rush meals to meet demand. The drinks are expensive but you make a choice of having a cheap meal and expensive drinks or vice versa.

I and a friend went to the oadby owl for the first time last Friday. I thought the place was clean and the staff was very helpful as I am a wheel chair. The beer is a fare price so are the food.i am planing on going again soon

Pleasent and cosy! Clean and tidy and areas are easy to get round! There is a bar area oneside and the restaurant the other. The food is good quality and offer a wide range of dishes but they leave little things off the plate, such as: corn on the cob, and sides. Staff are helpful but lack of barstaff in busy hours. They have WiFi and bar games and things for children to do. 2 smoking areas outdoors and the back garden is also used as alternative seating area for eatting outside.
