A new pub for me, good beers and a wider than usual food offer. All our meals were very good and reasonably priced. I went for the fish chips and mushy peas and can honestly say they were amongst the best I've had. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service fast and efficient. Not surprisingly the Britannia was busy, but our meals were delivered quickly and the staff were always in attendance when you wanted them. An excellent find.

The food was amazing full of flavour and value for money as prices start from £10 for a main course. There are plenty of options to choose from. Their pizzas are lush!!! Friendly welcoming staff with great service. I will be going back very soon.

Needed to get a nice meal for my wife and Granddaughter, nipped in, was greeted and seated quickly, drinks ordered and brought to table just as quick. Friendly staff, clean outdoor area with enough space between tables to feel safe. Dog friendly pub with water bowls available. Although no table service for drinks last night, there were staff checking if diners had what they needed and cleared tables quickly when people left ready for next customers. Will definitely return.

Lovely run village pub. All staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great especially Sunday dinner, and would highly recommend. They don't have a kids menu but to do smaller portions off the main menu. As a family of 4 we love eating out locally. So again I would highly recommend coming here to eat and drink xx

We went here for a meal and from walking in and sitting down the staff were there to ask if we wanted drinks. We then ordered our meals and so happy with the standard of food and at reasonable prices to. Everything was hot from start to finish. And the staff were very polite and very helpful. They made us feel very welcome and had social distancing perfect. It was also our first visit here. We would recommend the Britannia Inn to anyone. 😊😊😊

Nice atmosphere but generally sub-standard food. Location can be difficult to reach if not a local resident. Service was not outstanding, especially considering how few diners there were. Make no mistake this is definitely a pub first and foremost, with food being a secondary concern. Overall, enjoyable but I won't be making a habit of coming.

Very friendly staff. Great service. We had the 2 mains for £9.95 scampi, chips and peas. Spotted dick and custard. All food was very good and decent portions. Will definitely be coming again.

Came here for lunch today.We were greeted by a lovely friendly barman.Ordered the lunch menu 2 for £7.95 there were 3 of us and we all ordered Sausage and mash.We received our food very quickly, it was lovely and hot, generous portions and delicious, puddings yummy. All the staff we met were nice,friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Britannia Inn to anyone, well worth a visit.

First time I have dined out since lockdown in March. Cannot fault the Britannia as all post COVID requirements are in place, expectations are made clear upon arrival and dining area adapted accordingly. Staff and reception is very warm and welcoming. Menu slightly reduced but food was served hot, excellent and very tasty. We really enjoyed this visit and we wish the Britannia every success going forward 👌 Keep up the good work and I look forward to returning soon 👍😁

Excellent quick service. All food we had ( 7 pax) was piping hot. Drinks were delivered to the table including a jug of water before the meals. Food was of well cooked. Such was the quantity We did not have room for one of their tasty sweets.

This is our local and its situated in such a wonderful village. We must eat and drink here every other week . We cannot fault the food and their steak nights, Italian nights etc are fantastic value for money. Such a lovely bunch of staff too who all work so well together too. You must try ! Went for an evening meal on a Monday which happens to be "Steak Night" and i have to say it is obviously popular as the place was full, but the staff were still on the mark and everything flowed very well, drinks/food orders taken and food served in a very acceptable time frame. The food was lovely but if i had to fault anything i found the vegetable portion a little insipid and lacking imagination but the rest certainly compensated for it, so overall a very good night.

Have been lunching at this pub for about 2 years now, so it’s high time for some feedback, their light bite lunch menu is excellent value and they don’t skimp on quality, everything on the menu is fresh the staff are always friendly and they listen to what you say, and they know what they are doing, The servers and the kitchen all deserve credit for what they do, it’s a first class pub. PS the Apple crumble and the coffee are also good.

We were lucky enough to have beautiful sunshine for our birthday celebration meal here. The garden was the perfect place to talk and sample the three of the four lovely real ales that day. The beer was kept well and a good range and flavour. Unfortunately the other side of the coin to a nice sunny day was eating our meal inside. On this day, air conditioning would have been an essential. The food though was great, so much better than pre-packed food that is the staple of many pubs. To start we had the duck salad, fish cakes and scallops. Duck salad arrived with the pomegranite jewels gleaming from the plate; fish cakes were fully flavoured and crispy on the outside soft in the middle (not armadillo); scallops were nicely caramalised on the outside and soft textured centre. For mains, we had the oven baked salmon, lamb koftas, chicken panang and chicken fajita. Was pleasantly supplied by how coorinated the team were for the large group we had, and all food arrived hot. A really enjoyable evening in all. Thank you.
