Good old fashioned roast dinner, consisting of roasties/yorkie pud and a mixture of meats, I had the mixed roast which was 1/2 a roast chicken and beef and my daughter chose the beef, was enjoyable

Really nice meal, had pie and mash. Then had the kinder cookie dough dessert would highly recommend. However my friend had a slight reaction to the vegan dessert as she has a dairy allergy. She didn't tell them about her allergy so wasn't completely their fault but it does show they must of contained the vegan dessert with dairy so how. Overall great pub and great food.

Very nice place, good lunchtime deals that dont skimp on quality or quantity and great tasty fresh food. Don't know about the drinks as we all had soft drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely under cover place to sit outside or plenty of space in the open and inside there's plenty of room, nicely done out, definitely recommend and we will return. Maybe to try the evening menu next time.

Nice place and decor, but we found it to be really chilly inside (frosty outside so expected a nice warm environment). Great choice on the menu, however, my meal wasn't very hot which was a little disappointing.

We ate here on Thursday 2nd June. We had not booked, so were pleasantly surprised to get a table for four without any problems. We were with our two grandchildren and were made to feel very welcome indeed. The service was first class, Tilly, Sam and Kayleigh were absolutely fantastic, particularly with our youngest grandchild who likes to talk to everyone 🤣. The drinks order was taken promptly as was the food order. The food was delicious, and brought out in a timely manner. Attention to requirements was pleasing ☺️, finding brown sauce for our oldest grandchild and a boat of chocolate sauce to go with their dessert 😁. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience was great and they should be applauded for their outstanding service. I will definitely go again, would not hesitate to take children and highly recommend. Thank you for making our evening so lovely. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed it ☺️.

This is a really nice pub and restaurant. There is a really nice play area. There are also some nice outdoor dining areas as well as an indoor restaurant and bar area. The food selection is good and the food is nicely cooked and presented. There is plenty of on sight parking too.

Popped in to try the food under the new ownership and wasn't disappointed. There is much more choice on the menu than previously and its more sensibly priced. We had the Katsu Chicken and a Rump steak both of which were delicious. Can highly recommend the Rolo Cookie dough desert as well :-) Staff were great as was the service. A great addition to the village and we will definitely be back.

It’s a shame the new owners didn’t trial the blue moon beer that was on tap before. It’s a lovely place and I’m sure it will be a success, regardless of the locals’ favourite tipples being discarded. We won’t return, but wish you all the best.

The Bull is the gem of Broughton Astley!! The staff are outstanding, so so welcoming and friendly - extra special mention to Badger, Liam and Julie for just being blummin wonderful! The food is to die for, fab for a Sunday lunch, midweek scran or Saturday date night. The drinks selection is extensive and served well. They do a cracking espresso martini if that’s up your street too! Honestly, this is a top notch local and not to be taken for granted! Thank you wonderful Bull Team for many great nights and happy memories!

Went for Sunday lunch. The chese in the pot starter I thought was excellent, the dinner was very nice but not presented as I like it. It was served in a dish not on a plate, and it was stacked up like a piece of artwork. Some of the vegetables were served in a bowl separately I don't have problem with that, but could have done with a few more minutes on the boil. When it came to the pudding very very poor selection I couldn't recognise anything from the menu. Think they are trying to be too "Posh" for a pub, nothing to go with custard no apple pie no tradition puddings at all. I would go again but ask for my dinner on a plate please.

Great food and very well set out. All the improvements here have really made this place a nice place. Wonderful outdoor space with canopy and small bar, heaters weren't working on my last visit but hopefully this is only temporary. Inside has been brought up to a nice standard where you can go for a romantic evening or a family gathering. Secure parking round the back with plenty of spaces.

Everything about the restaurant was great. The restaurants itself is atmospheric, clean, and very well set out and someone remarked that they have never been to a pub that is so attractive, spacious and well laid out. The food is well presented, very reasonably priced, and faultless. We were extremely delighted with the service and we were offered a small free taster on the guest beer which made us feel like they really cared about our experience and our visit there was important. We enjoyed all the food. The Moroccan lamb flatbread that was brimming with flavour and a culinary sight to behold; the pizza which was perfect in every way and the mussels were very well received. To labour the point, the atmosphere is great. There's an outside place for adults that adjoins the kids with a stream, bouncy castle and play area. There's a sheltered outside area next to the stream where you can sit, drink and eat.

Fabulous place, and just keeps getting better and better with all the work and decorating they're doing to it. It's gone from being fairly average a few years ago to being properly 'fancy' in a short space of time. Food is excellent, or at least the burgers and roasts are, and there's a good amount of variety in the menu. Quite a few items are a 'spruced up' version or an interesting take on a classic, such as their deluxe fish finger sandwiches, or their (seasonal) Christmas Club. I'm not a big pudding man, but I'm often tempted by the deserts... Drinks are varied and decently-priced, and while it's not to my tastes they have a huge range of Gin and a fair amount of specials over the year (Beer and Cider, etc) so there's likely to be something for everyone. They've got a good selection of single malts, so someone behind the bar had discerning tastes. Staff are speedy and courteous, so you rarely have to wait to be served, and food came promptly, hot, and in plentiful quantities. They also have a lot of activity going on over the week, from visiting singers/musicians, to quiz nights, and other unusual events. All told, I think the Bull has achieved something enviable: A great restaurant to sit for a meal, a nice bar to pop in for a drink, and a great venue for events; all at the same time. There aren't many places that can say that.

A friend has moved to Broughton so popped into to check out the local pub. Lovely setting, with a stream running outside the front. We only stopped by for drinks, but the food menu looked great. The pub had a good selection of real ales which were kept really well. They also had possibly the best selection of gins I have seen at any pub anywhere in the country. Also dog friendly! So perfection really!

Very small choice on a paper menu , slightly over priced , nothing like what was advertised online on their website , pointed this out and the reason why was a new menu and new chef. What we did have was nice hopefully a bigger choice of food on the new menu if one is set up . would give it a go again if there was more choice on the menu . This place is a real gem. App, dinner, dessert, drink selection...all were great! They have like 120 gins. They have a small but solid whisky selection too. I saw Sazerac rye on the shelf and nearly had a conniption. I need to become a regular and pick the bar master's brain. Brilliant staff. Busy on a regular night. And very busy for lunch. Good to book ahead if you want a normal seat inside. Outside has more character than your average pub since a small stream runs next to the building.

Our meal was first class and served by very polite waitresses. Took my bestest hubby out for a birthday dinner tonight....interesting experience. I'd checked out the main menu beforehand and had been pleased to see that there were several salad options available. When we ordered I opted for a nicoise salad with smoked salmon only to be told that salads were only available at lunch - I clearly hadn't read the small print! When I pointed out that it was odd that there was no salad option on the evening menu I was told that they haven't ever had salad in the evening due to being so busy 🤷‍♀️. I chose an alternative and the food was fine. We then ordered desserts - Darin opted for coconut and pineapple upside down pudding with a rum caramel sauce while I had a cointreau coffee. My coffee arrived 10 minutes later and then about 15-20 mins later Darin's dessert turned up. The upside down cake was nice enough but there was no rum and caramel sauce, instead there was a drizzle of raspberry sauce. Having already had a "conversation" about salads or lack thereof I didn't say anything about dessert. It's a shame because the venue has a lovely ambience and we enjoy spending summer evenings there. Don't think we will be in a hurry to eat there again tho 🙁🤷‍♀️
