It was a really nice pub and friendly staff. We were in a hurry and wanted to grab lunch. Ordered 2 dishes that could be served quickly so we could be on our way. Sausage and Mash and Chilli Fries. Food was nice no doubt. But we had to wait nearly half an hour to be served. It seemed that the place was understaffed and the team was just about coping. So their friendly and welcoming attitude was greatly appreciated. There is parking on site, the menu is varied with restaurant and bar snacks options. Great place, just go with time on your hands so you can enjoy the experience, atmosphere and the vibe.

The pub itself is really nice historic building with a nice atmosphere. The service was very good and efficient. The menu was very varied with both classic pub meals and more modern dishes. Two of us had fish and chips and they were very good the fish was clearly fresh. The other two of us had pie of the day. Pie of the day on our visit was lamb and mint. The pie was very well filled and was clearly hand made. More importantly it was delicious. The desert menu was slightly limited but we had 2 deserts both of which were fantastic so well presented and were both delicious. We will be returning for more.

Great place for lunch and a catch-up! Perfect atmosphere and good service. In fact the waiting staff asked twice if they could take the drinks order! The food tried (seafood bake and veggie burger) were fresh and the right portion. The lunch menu mains are 95% meat and fish, so if you're vegetarian you can't be fussy!

Lots of tables, lots of parking and lots of space.🙂 The food was amazing and priced accordingly. They serve Guinness which was a bonus for one of our party. Everyone ordered a different meal and dessert and all enjoyed our 2 course meal. Well worth a visit.

We ate at the Cradock Arms yesterday and the food and service were excellent. However, I am vegetarian and the only non meat /fish choices were vegan, not vegetarian. The vegan choices all seemed to contain sweet potato - so no real variety there. Only 1% of people are vegan whereas 5% are vegetarian, so I would like to see at least one vegetarian option. Saying that, they were very helpful in substituting a lentil burger for a meat one.

Wow first time at The Craddock Arms and it was brilliant went on a day with good weather so opted to sit outside the inside of the pub looked really nice and clean with really comfy seats. The outside was done up with bench and tables. Lots of choice of beer wine and alcohol as you'd expect. The food was brilliant one of the best Sunday lunches I have had amazing loads on your plate tasted amazing. Had a astarter as well and was different and taste fantastic. Highly recommended this pub for a Sunday lunch will come back

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. We had the veggie option (seitan wellington) which was delicious with great texture and was quite filling. Accompanied by mixed vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. All very tasty and well cooked. The wellington is vegan and you can have vegan accompaniments if you wish. The two puddings we tried (crumble with custard and sticky toffee pudding) were divine. Very happy with the quantity, quality and the service. I recommend booking in advance as the place was full and turning people away. This was the first time we have eaten there and were so impressed that we have booked again.

I visited this place with a group of colleagues on a Sunday. We sat outside, the atmosphere is lovely. There were also non-smoking areas outside. The food was fantastic, had the honey glazed ham and some others really enjoyed the beef. Perfect place for Sunday lunch!

Lovely pub, friendly atmosphere. Selection on tap are the usual suspects for an Everard's pub with different guest beer and ales featuring regularly. Food is extremely good as well, worth visiting just for this. Even the cheaper sandwiches are stand out.

Great beer, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. You cant ask for much more from a pub to be honest. Food however is unfortunately variable, it is akin to playing Russian roulette. On one visit the garlic bread was so dry and over cooked it was more like cardboard and the pizza was overwhelmed with pepper. Couldn't taste the underlying seafood at all. On second visit, in the same month, all food was excellent. It is however a game worth playing as I suspect there is only one bullet in a chamber of six.

Really lovely pub. Plenty of drinks and a great vibe. Various vegetarian options. But one thing that we found strange was not being able to change toppings of pizzas. You can remove but cannot add any toppings. Makes things difficult as there's already a limited amount of vegetarian options. Staff: we were greeted nicely by a gentlemen who showed us to our table. The waitress taking our order came across quite rude and abrupt. Nevertheless the food was really tasty so will be back for this.

A Saturday evening, no table booked, a wedding reception taking place, Restaurant very busy... Despite all this Kurtis was able to provide a table after a brief waiting time. Lovely food, excellent staff and nice atmosphere. Went here for an evening meal during the week and thoroughly enjoyed my sausage and mash. It’s so nice to see it on a pub menu. The sticky toffee pudding was delightful too, not too sweet or too much sauce. I do think it would be nice to have the option to have it with clotted cream. Overall, a lovely evening with great service.

Six of us visited on a Saturday night. It was busy but not overcrowded, and service at the bar was very quick. We ordered food and were told there is a long wait due to the number of orders, but our food came in about 20 minutes. The food was well presented, tasty, and piping hot 😃. There is a good choice of beers and spirits too. I definitely recommend The Craddock, and we will be back in the not too distant future 👍

Very nice location. Very expensive for what food they serve, maybe trying a bit hard. Bangers and mash is still bangers and mash no matter how you dress it up. The food was very tasty though. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Just need to make sure the table still have their numbers on them as alot didnt.

Great for gluten free as it's one of the few pubs that serve gluten free lager and food, the Service is great and the staff go above and beyond. Because of the gluten free aspect it's the only pub we can go to and stay in for a period of time. £14 in a taxi so we don't live that close but for a while while the other pubs catch on about GF it's our new local.

This pub has its own large carpark with disabled spaces close to the entrance. We just came for a drink at lunchtime today, and found the atmosphere and barstaff to be very pleasant. It appears to have been refurbished and redecorated since we last came before covid 2 years ago almost. A few people were dinning but we didn't get chance to see a menu anyhere to check out the food on offer and prices. Covid restrictions had been totally lifted as far as we could see but we had our own masks and sanitiser whch we always carry with us to use. Everywhere was clean and tidy. We will definitely go back for a meal and drink soon and would recommend this pub to others.

Never tried Gnocchi before, it was hard and chewy? I was not keen so left most of it. The pie was liked by a party member, said it tasted awful, however the dog enjoyed. The other party member could not find anything on menu she liked, so had nothing. All in all an expensive meal but the dog enjoyed. Not much on menu unless you like expensive steak. Apart from food the pub and staff were lovely.

Large pub. Went over 30 years from one of the most crowded popular pub restaurants in Leicester, to virtually deserted but is now enjoying a revival. Good for indoor and outdoor seating. Normal Everard beers but usually well kept.

Was a nice pub and nice outdoor seating area, no play area for kids downside. Menu abit empty only offering sunday roast option which wasnt anything special. I picked roast leg of lamb.£13.95 when it came portion size for price wasnt good. 2 slices of lamb, 3 roast potatoes, 2 parnips slices & yorkie was on my plate. Veg? Well that was put on a share platter for me n my OH which we wasnt asked. Food was ok but nothing special im afraid

This is one of my favourite places to eat out. The Food is of top standard, I recommend you try their club sandwich. Service is excellent, it’s best to book especially at lunchtimes. You can also take your dogs to this pub, obviously not in the eating area. Also has a good sized garden.

Great beer. One of the last places left in Leicester where staff don't try to kick you out at 10pm. Last orders at 11 and no pressure to 'hurry up' your drink like other places. Its also a popular place but always somewhere to sit. Internet access too and a garden in the summer. Best pub in Leicester by a mile.

I remember driving past this pub as a kid and always thinking it looked like a dive, however when my friends said to meet there for a meal, I was presently surprised. Walking into the bar area gives you your typical English pub and then in the back the real magic happens. We sat down for our meal and everything was fantastic. The service was great, the food was wonderful. I did have some dinner envy, I took the burger and compared to my friend's meals, it was a slight disappointment. Everyone else's meals were excellent and mine was just good in comparison. My only real nitpick was that it took time to get ahold of a waiter for the bill. So, if you want a great meal and at a fantastic English pub, this one is worth the visit.

One of our favourite pubs. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, and there's a great selection of drinks on offer. The building is set over three levels, with loads of space for large groups. The food is also really good, and there's dedicated restaurant for those out for a meal, but you can also order food to your table anywhere else in the pub.

Very popular pub in Leicester. The building is gorgeous and the interior is warm and cosy which is surprising as the pub itself is huge! The beer is excellent as is the wine selection. The food menu is also top notch and great for a quick bite or a proper sit down meal. There are theme nights during the week and the atmosphere is always friendly and lively. There is a good sized beer garden too.

Delicious roast dinner. The best Yorkshire puddings I've had in a restaurant, tasted like home made. Our party of 8 was very pleased with there meals and puddings. Roast dinners are brought to the table with your meat of choice roasties and parsnips and gravy already on the plate. A selection of vegetables are brought to the table for all to share so you can have little or as much as you desire. If you are interested our veg choices were carrots and cauliflower cheese, broccoli with leek and cabbage mix. Highly recommended this place for a good family Sunday dinner. Atomosphere was nice and relaxed and staff were pleasant and a credit to the place. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Good selection of tap beers and ales. The pub has multiple spaces with booth seating, normal tables, and a good size courtyard and grassy beer garden with plenty of tables. The bistro serves daily specials and a standard menu which includes the usual pub fare (burgers, fish and chips, steak, daily pies and soups). Staff are friendly and service is to your table for both food and drink orders if you are dining in. The food came out in about 10 minutes with the mains following shortly after. Timing was good, not rushed. I had a go at the broccoli soup and the Mexican chicken burger. Soup was simple but tasted fresh and delicious. The burger was decent, and although there were jalapeños on there I was expecting a little more heat. Washed down with an Everard's original ale. Good spot for a beer to catch up with friends or for a meal. Can get busy around holiday times - recommend making a table booking for meals. Free parking out the front.

Great classic pub food and they have a specials board if you want to try something a little different. I love the low beams at the back of the craddock it gives the place a real cosy feel and character alot of pubs lack now adays. The waitresses are really friendly and welcoming. Your not kept waiting around forever to place your order or get your bill even when it's really busy on a Friday night, the atmosphere always feels relaxed. The ladies toilets are always clean. Ive honestly never had a bad meal here.

I eat out in a lot of pubs and restaurants so when I say that the food here is excellent, that sets the Cradock Arms apart from most. Also has plenty parking and level access for those with mobility problems, friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of wines and beers.

When my friend and I arrived we had to ask for the music to be turned down in the bottom bar as it was far too loud. Later, a member of staff came and opened the door without asking if we were comfortable. It meant that it was noisy from traffic and draughty. Apart from that it was OK.
